2016: Clinton vs. Christie?
Human Events, by Donald Lambro

WASHINGTON — The 2016 presidential marathon began this week when Hillary Clinton had a very visible, heavily promoted White House lunch with President Obama, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie threw a political punch at one of his potential rivals for the Republican nomination. If there were any doubts that the former secretary of state plans to run for president, they were put to rest when she and Obama had lunch on the patio outside the Oval Office on Monday. The White House photographer, Chuck Kennedy, took pictures of the tete-a-tete that were

NO! I can´t even bear to think about that. Knowing the conduct of the establishment Republicans it wouldn´t be at all surprising. How terribly depressing.

#1 beat me to it.

If those are the choices, there WILL be a third party candidate who would have a very good chance of winning. After all, the "Christycrats" wouldn´t know who to vote for.

Due to our idiotic primary system, don´t be surprised if Christie is the nominee before most of us even get a chance to have a say in it. If he becomes the GOP nominee, I will be going third-party for the first time in my life.

Christie is not presidential material. The Republicans would be really stupid to run him, and if you break off to a third party, Hillary will be president. Remember, the only way Clinton got elected in the first place was that the party split with Ross Perot, and Clinton won. History should not repeat itself. No third party. Pick a strong candidate, and the whole party will vote for him.

I still think that Obama will persuade Biden to move aside for the good of his health and slide Herself into the VP office within the next year or so. This would elimiate Biden from stupidly getting into the Dem primary race. Also, it would seem to add to Herself´s impressive (ugh) resume. The sisterhood (some even being conservative) plus lo-info voters and all other Dem riff-raff would assure her of victory.

Welcome to the mix, governor. I´m with the earlier poster, though. Let´s get the primary system fixed well ahead of the 2016 season. There are lots of good people thinking about running and it´s tragic for any to get weeded out too early. I´m talking about serious candidates, not the usual dilettantes who just want to sell a few books and up the speech fees. Whatever name ends up on our ballot, though, will get my vote. Any GOPer is an improvement on any Dem. Those of you who are looking for your perfect candidate are doomed to be disappointed. Just don´t stay home when that happens. It´s too important.

I am absolutely convinced one reason people in general hate politics is that here we are, more than three years from the next Presidential election, and already we are getting bombarded with candidate Tutti-Frooty vs. candidate Hump-a-Lunk. Stop it! I really wish there were no such articles until we were within a year of an election at the earliest. However, as a former journalist I know newspapers have to generate copy to place around ads they are selling. Which makes this story the filler between the ads.

A lie-beral Demon-RAT versus a lie-beral Demon-RAT that just calls himself a Republican.

Republicans sit home in masse, and the Hildebeast wins a Reagan-level landslide -- which also coattails into majorities in the House and Senate. PIAPS then goes into coronation day firmly claiming a mandate to continue, and even expand on, the America destroying policies of NØbama.

Elected officials from across the American West, from top lawmakers to county commissioners, held a historic gathering in Utah in recent days to discuss how Western states could wrest control of the almost 50 percent of land in the region currently claimed by the federal government. Aside from constitutional concerns — with a few exceptions, the U.S. Constitution does not authorize ownership or control over land by the political class in Washington, D.C. — the Western leaders and legislators cited economic harm, environmental degradation, loss of tax revenue, and numerous other reasons for the effort.

“Freedom.” We use that word a lot. Do we all really know what that word means? It’s used in so many different ways. Do we understand how it is attained? Most importantly, do we understand how it is used by some to actually take freedom away? Simply put, freedom is the ability to act without hindrance or restraint. Freedom is owning your life, your actions, your labor. We say we support the “principles” of freedom. But what are those principles and where did they come from? First of all, we must understand principles are not legislated or invented. Principles are discovered.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
