Report: Al Qaeda in Yemen Was in
´Final Stages´ of Planning Attack

Al Qaeda was in the final stages of planning an unspecified attack in Yemen, according to a CNN report that seems to explain the widespread, planned closures of U.S. embassies across the Middle East on Sunday. CNN reports: A senior Yemeni national security official told CNN that the government was "on high alert against possible attacks in the days to come. The threat appears much worse than it has in a long time," the Yemeni official said. According to three sources, the United States has information that al Qaeda in Yemen was in the final stages

"current information suggests that al Qaeda and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks,"

Nah, al Qaeda is the group that is on the run and practically wiped out. Must be a typo.

They want to drive us out of the Middle East. Our response is to run away. They found a soft touch in Obama.

Al Qaeda resurgent, Russia resurgent, the US at the threshold of bankruptcy, crime committd with impunity by a favored group, joblessness and poverty. Can Obama do no wrong in the eyes of the media and the Democrats? Every night on O´Reilly I hear black people defending Obama and the young black thugs who are running wild. The problem is institutional racism, not the break down of the black family they say. Not one of the black people on O´Reilly has been willing to say their young girls should get a talking to about being married before having children. They will admit no fault. Except ours. It´s our fault and that is final.

Obama is black and that is all he has to be.

Pure speculation here, but I can´t help but wonder if the weapons that were at issue in Benghazi did, in fact, fall into terrorists hands throughout the Middle East and they have indicated that they intend to use them against Americans around the world. It would be very inconvenient for Obama if weapons that were found at a terrorist attack were, in fact, the very same weapons that were funneled through Benghazi. Better to shut down the embassies than take the chance. If this is the case and the terrorists do have these weapons, the truth will come out because they will be used against us. The temptation to do so will be too great. Obama over-estimates his influence in the Middle East. He may be president but we are still the Great Satan to these people and any harm they can bring to us is more important than his friendship. His hubris makes him a perfect chump for these guys. They are the scorpion and Obama is the frog.

Is this zippy trying to show us that all of the NSA spying on us is truly keeping us safe and we can now shut up about it and leave him alone?

If Al Quaeda really wanted to damage the US, weaken it and throw it into chaos, they could admit that they got their weapons from zippy via Benghazi.

The US would be so distracted that the muzzies could go their merry way doing whatever the he!! they want.

Everything that is being done by this administration is driven by the quest for political power. Benghazi and the NSA scandals are two roadblocks to the the quest. This action allows the administration to diminish the scandals by saying "See, we´re correcting our Benghazi errors" and "See, our intelligence gathering really does save lives, so back off". The effect is to dilute the scandals by building the case that "Yeah, we make some mistakes and spy on people, but it´s only because we love them so much and want to protect them".

Given the political benefit of this crisis - which cannot be confirmed as a crisis because something that didn´t happen cannot be disproven (and we will never see the evidence, unless it is distilled through the politically-tainted intelligence structure), the niggling little question remains, "Is there really a crisis?"

Can I play devil´s advocate for a moment? We are seeing a closure of embassies around the world. Obama has a supposed birthday on Sunday.

Hey let´s prepare for a terrorist attack for Obama´s birthday. Yet on September 11, 2012, no preparation.

I am not saying if we have a real threat we should not prepare but why all the publicity.

If I were a terrorist I would just make it next week instead.

I´m just thinking out loud.

Mean while Obama is saying , Hey, who´s up for some golf? Reggie Love? John Boehner? Anybody? Hello?

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will leave Tuesday for a four-nation trip to Asia, looking to recharge a focus on the region, an ambitious initiative that’s been sidetracked by domestic politics and international conflicts elsewhere. Yet even as Obama attempts to boost his effort to emphasize U.S. interest in Asia, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intervention in Ukraine is complicating efforts to reassure Asian nations _ which share the region with an increasingly assertive China - that the U.S. is committed to their security. The administration’s efforts to refocus U.S. policy toward Asia were already being questioned in the region with the

One of the Obama administration’s favorite themes is the idea that Republicans have been waging a “war on women.” Though Democrats may overestimate the appeal of this canard, the notion that troglodyte conservatives seek to send American women back to the 19th century has become a form of conventional wisdom, especially in the liberal mainstream media. But though that war is a piece of fakery rooted in the confusion between political liberalism and gender equality, there is little doubt about the reality of another war on women: the one that is being waged by left-wing ideologues against any female Republican

Turning the tables remains the first refuge of liars called on their mendacity. “I was hurt,” Elizabeth Warren relays in her new autobiography, “and I was angry.” The second-year senator speaks of her 2012 political opponent using her claims of Native American ancestry against her during the campaign.
