New Links Emerge in
the IRS Scandal

Wall Street Journal, by Kimberley A. Strassell

Congressional investigators this week released emails suggesting that staff at the Federal Election Commission have been engaged in their own conservative targeting, with help from the IRS´s infamous Lois Lerner. This means more than just an expansion of the probe to the FEC. It´s a new link to the Obama team. In May this column noted that the targeting of conservatives started in 2008, when liberals began a coordinated campaign of siccing the federal government on political opponents. The Obama campaign helped pioneer this tactic. In late summer of 2008, Obama lawyer Bob Bauer took

This whole IRS scandal is horrifying to me. I am afraid that no one is going to be held accountable in this massive assault on our constitutional republic. As a result, I am left with a bitter, seething hatred of these leftists. Holder will ensure that no one is prosecuted for any of these crimes. I am left only with my faith that eventually, people reap what they sow and karma eventually catches up with you.

Leftists have hijacked the irs for political persecution purposes. The scope of the persecution will expand as the irs digs its dirty claws into the big government health care system. This is a lawless regime, and there´s nothing we can do about it except accept a helpless feeling.

Independent special investigators with subpoena powers are required for Benghazi and the IRS matters, but Issa and the others are too egotistical to relinquish their places.
They are crawling to the finish line at best.

#4, look for the appointment of a special prosecutor only closer to the elections. When the Obama admin needs to close this bad publicity down, they will then appoint a Special Prosecutor who will then not be able to talk since the "matter is under investigation." Then the SP will not want "to influence an election," so they will withhold the report until after the election when the voters no longer can take criminal behavior into account before casting their vote.

It is not Issa preventing the appointment of a Special Prosecutor. It is Eric Holder and ultimately Obama. And #6 is absolutely right.

#4..I have wondered about that. What is the down side of a special prosecutor? Yes, committees lose publicity but what else? There is no down side for the public. If a non corrupted prosecutor is in charge the only downside is for the guilty.

So, the IRS scandal is now an aggregate IRS-FEC-DOJ scandal. It’s getting a harder to attribute everything to miscellaneous low level staffers, when emails fly back and forth between agencies, and temporally matching White House visits by top agency presidential appointees.

It is now undeniably clear that the hard left Democrats, with operatives embedded throughout these agencies, under direction from the White House, activated their team to conduct an illegal, coordinated vote suppression operation within the three federal agencies.

Smells like RICO to me. Mr. Issa?

I ask those of you who want a Special Prosecutor who appoints that individual? Holder would. Do you honestly think any SP appointed by Holder would seek the truth.
The public would never again hear the word Benghazi. Problem solved for the corrupt Democrat party.
A better solution might be a Congressional Select Committee, like the Watergate committee, although that would give some power to Harry Reid. Do we really want Harry Reid seeking answers? Again, we would never hear the word Benghazi with Harry Reid involved.
This committee chaired by Issa may be our best hope to find the truth.

Hard to believe that the wizards of smart in Washington DC only work for the democrats. Is there no one on our side who has the brains and cunning to make the system work for truth and justice? Unfortunately, our intelligence and logic are our Achilles´ heels in situations like this. We can understand and keep track of all the events and the timeline. Most of the mouth-breathers out there cannot.

As the lefties have done for some time, a campaign of catchphrases is a must. The obvious ones are voter intimidation and stolen election. Only when such terms are in general use - even if the dullards repeating them are unaware of their impact - will this scandal gain the proper traction.

At some point the TEA Party must exhibit outrage. In other countries there would be riots by now over the election being fixed. Maybe the Oct. demonstration will be a time to rally the country. I fully expect them to be met by Homeland Security this time.

We are heading into dangerous times. This scandal may turn out to take a back seat to Benghazi. Another poster provided an interesting link...

My thoughts are the same as some posted above. Issa has to keep control of this thing until there is at least a possibility of a senate take over or at least some way that we can keep Holder et all from getting their hands on any of this investigation. We already know there isnt going to be enough outrage to get traction for now. The best we can hope for on this and on Bengazi is to keep them in the news with the slow drips of info, and then hopefully it will all boil over next year. Look for Holder to step down and avoid any harm before that happens.

The way things have been going in DC for the past 5yrs, the only solution for the destruction of the USA is for enough citizens to band togather and exercis there 2nd Amendment rights. Have another little revolution. And I personally would not be afraid of the US military forces stepping in at Obozo´s command. Every soldier, sailor, and airman it the military knows that they do NOT obey an illegal order. And attacking Americans for exercising their Constitutionally guarenteed right would clearly be illegal. In fact, my belief is that a large portion of the military would join us. It´s either that or we get ultra busy and do as Mark Levin suggested. I don´t see any other way. Even if conservatives gain control of the government, it wouldn´t take long for them to want stay is office for life, enjoying all the perks that go with it. We would just be changing the players and not correcting the problem. After all, doesn´t the wise surgeon cut out the cancer to save the patient?

This is exactly how the Obama administration runs the EPA. Their presumption is that companies pollute and should be shut down. The records show that over an 8 hour day, emissions of ozone peak during the heat of mid day. So change the standard from 8 hour average to 3 hours at mid day, and compliant companies are now non-compliant.

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. It did not happen—all while trillions of dollars were added to the national debt which will become due when these current lawmakers are safely in retirement. The worst amendment to the Constitution is also one of the vaguest. The right to keep and bear arms might be simplistic, but at least it is direct. Our first amendment is mildly long winded and grotesquely misunderstood. However, the 16th amendment, ratified in 1913, stands as one of the most viscous deteriorations of the American Experiment. Stating simply “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration” the amendment grants to the Federal government powers typically reserved for

Georgia fell to a similar fate when George Bush was president. Now “protests” are being fomented in eastern Ukraine while troops mass at the border. On Fox News Sunday, political analyst Brit Hume said that Eric Holder’s claim that his treatment at the hands of Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) at a House hearing this week was unprecedented toward an Attorney General, made him a “crybaby,” and that he and President Barack Obama had in fact benefited “enormously” from being the first African Americans in their respective positions. “This strikes me as kinda crybaby stuff from Holder,” Hume said. “My sense about this is both Eric Holder and Barack Obama have benefited politically enormously from the fact that they are African American and the first to

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

Some time back, whenever a big racial controversy erupted, I trained myself into the habit of reading about it at FoxNews.com, just for the unbelievable comment threads. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
