Their home has its own bowling alley, movie theatre, and chef. But while living in the White House could leave Sasha and Malia Obama with a distorted sense of how Americans live, their father says he´s always conveying to his daughters how abnormal their situation really is. "We are constantly reminding Malia and Sasha of the slightly unreal environment that they´re in, and that that´s not the norm and they shouldn´t expect to be the norm," President Barack Obama said in an interview for the Amazon Kindle store. Having relatives who don´t live like the commander-in-chief – and

So the reason you refuse to help your relatives is because you want them to stay poor to provide your own kids with some kind of object lesson? Ok. Meanwhile, the highlife on the taxpayer dime continues.

You mean poor relatives like your brother in Kenya living in a hut on $20 a year?

You mean poor relatives like your Aunt Zetuni in Boston, an illegal immigrant in public housing?

You mean poor relatives like your DWI uncle in Boston, also an illegal immigrant, working in a liquor store and getting a EBT food stamp card every month?

I´m pretty sure that you, like most liberal Democrats, wouldn´t think of writing a check every now and then to each of them to actually HELP them out.

This year´s trips included Sun Valley, Hawaii, Bahamas for the girls, Africa and now Martha´s Vineyard. The Obama´s just keepin´ in realsies.

I wonder how the relatives feel about being called "poor." I think it´s kind of an insult. Maybe they are "poor" in that they don´t have a lot of money, but many people in those circumstances look at it as a temporary circumstance. I remember reading a short story in high school called "We ain´t poor; we´re just broke." I think that is how most people look at it.

Mooch and the teen hulks look alike, walk alike, and dress alike. They´ve mastered Mooch´s total lack of class, bad taste, cheap manners, condescending arrogance, and it´s a safe bet they´re well on the way to being expert grifters. As for keeping these surly daughters grounded, get real. It would take round the clock keepers assuming there would by anyone—even for a exorbitant pile of money—willing to take that job.

Obama is not only flaunting himself before US, he is doing the same for his girls!

Michelle is also "using" US to her/their advantage and somehow believing she is the One to change US into the world where she is in control.

Pray for the Obama girls. They will have to undergo therapy someday for what they are experiencing today.

Federal health officials dropped regulations late Friday outlining how they plan to help insurance companies stuck with unanticipated costs due to ObamaCare´s botched rollout. In a 279-page document, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) detailed adjustments to the healthcare law´s "risk corridors" program, a means for shifting money from insurers who fare better under the new system to those who fare worse. Risk corridors have been decried by conservatives as a bailout that could leave taxpayers on the hook for billions of dollars. The administration said Friday that it will implement the program in a budget

The U.S. government on Friday announced it is taking steps to relinquish control over the back end of the Internet. The Department of Commerce announced it is beginning a process to transfer control over the technical system that operates the Internet’s domain name system, which ensures that Internet users can get to the websites they’re looking for. Currently, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration — an agency with Commerce — oversees that technical system, named the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). Historically, it has contracted the operation of IANA out to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Number (ICANN) on a biennial

Everyone in politics knows that big GOP donors, many of whom are wealthy businessmen, are, broadly speaking, one of the key constituencies for a major amnesty bill. Simmonds has launched a behind-the-scenes crusade to push the candidates he´s supporting to back what he describes as “complete amnesty.” “I am applying a litmus test even it keeps me from supporting any

The only reason to think President Obama would work with a Republican congressional majority is that he genuinely believes a policy is a good idea or thinks public opinion requires a compromise necessary to protect his legacy and keep the White House in Democratic hands. In other words, Republicans have reason to hope, but they shouldn’t expect too much change—at least not until 2017. McConnell’s assessment of what Republicans can accomplish the next two years will strike his fans as Madisonian realism, but it will come across as establishmentarian weakness to his detractors who are now waging a bitter primary

Fertility is the missing chapter in sex education. Sobering facts about women’s declining fertility after their 20s are being withheld from ambitious young women, who are propelled along a career track devised for men.
