Obama´s Creeping Authoritarianism
Wall Street Journal, by Daniel Henninger

If we learned anything about Barack Obama in his first term it is that when he starts repeating the same idea over and over, what´s on his mind is something else. The first term´s over-and-over subject was "the wealthiest 1%." Past some point, people wondered why he kept beating these half-dead horses. After the election, we knew. It was to propagandize the targeted voting base that would provide his 4% popular-vote margin of victory—very young voters and minorities. They believed. He won. The second-term over-and-over, elevated in his summer speech tour, is the shafting of the middle class. But

It´s getting pretty nauseating to now listen to all the politicians, show hosts, etc on the right telling us all how nasty 0baba is acting and conducting business in the white house how he treats the Constitution, etc. and YET... no one and nothing is being done to stop him. I listen to Mark Levin listing all the sins that 0bamba is committing against America and yet NOTHING is in place to stop him? No one is in place to cut him down to size.
I´ve written my congressmen, senators, etc and they NEVER answer that question. What is going on? What someone is going against the LAWS of this country is no one big enough to stop this thug? And if that´s the case then that HUGE mistake needs to be recified to protect us from the evil of his ilk! I´m shocked that no will tell me the answer and mostly no one is man enough to take him down!!!! Sickening! That means that any other thug can do this AND more to us! Anyone...can anyone answer my pleas?

So we´re going to allow him to set up his own Dictatorship without firing a shot? Without fighting this war?

Where is Congress on this?

Why is no one saying he´s abusing his power?

Why is he permitted this unchecked destruction of our Constitution?

Why is everyone except US silent?

Mark Levin´s "We The People" protest should be attended by everyone who is mobile, able-bodied and wants this country to survive as founded. If we don´t storm the barricades, we lose and will die by apathy.

What will it take?
The subversion of the Constitution now has 24 or more Czars, busily writing laws and controlling us. The Czars answer to no one.
No egregious usurpation seems to gain any traction. Ø postpones a mandated part of Obamacare; no one gets upset enough to act. Those public policy decisions which Congress will not enact will be instituted by fiat. No more coal powerplants. Ethanol mandates. Mandatory unions for health employees. No voter identification. It reminds me of The Once and Future King, in which young Arthur visits the world of the ants, in which everything not prohibited is mandatory.
It also reminds me of Animal Farm, when the pigs join with the rest of the oppressors and party on. Please go look up these old classics.
We need a bill of particulars such as in our Declaration.
Hmm. How did that American revolution get started, now? What will be our modern Boston Tea Party?
Thoughts, anyone?

If we the people can see and understand what Obama is up to, why can´t the Republicans in leadership positions get it? They are toothless old men gnawing on their last piece of political theater. How long will these "investigations to nowhere" go on? How long will Harry Reid be able to table any bill sent to him from the House? How long will John McCain praise the qualities of Hillary Clinton, the very woman who denied security to American embassies? How long will Obama´s lies go unchallenged? How pathetic is an opposition party that allows a president to get away with such blatant overreach? Until Republicans treasure the Constitution more than they treasure their own policitcal backsides, nothing will change. Politicians are destroying the blood, sweat and tears of millions of Americans because they fear to challenge this would-be dictator. Shame on them.

Heard my former Congressman (before redistricting) on local talk radio this morning, Rep. Frank Wolf, talk about the lack of interest by RepublicanHhouse Leadership in having a special committee look into Benghazi so that ther is one committee focused on that horror - not several going all over the place.

Our founders designed three branches to check and balance each other but now, nothing. I am more disgusted with the House Leadership for allowing Obama to get away with his abuse of power that Nixon could only have dreamed of. Yes, indeed #14, the articulate black man as president and one wonders why his supporters are fanning the fires of racial grievance - in the yaer 2013...

Obama has been a Constitutional crisis since he came on the scene. It began with his eligibility. Sheriff Joe has since proved he´s a fraud. Since something that fundamental can´t get Congress to at least hold hearings then we´re stuck with him. All we can try to do is to minimize the damage. If keeping him buried in scandals will help then great. However, I´m afraid he just uses them as cover.

Washington doesn´t care. Doesn´t care that we know.

Washington is exulting in finally being set free to do as it wishes.

And they have men under arms who will obey them to the last instead of obeying the Constitution.

Take a stand

This is our last stand…please sign this petition at the link below and pass it on….

Senators Lee, Cruz, Paul are leading the charge to defund Obamacare…

Please sign the petition at the link and call your senators and congressmen…

If death panels, the government having direct debit access to your bank accounts, a government takeover of 1/6 of the economy, spying on you and other losses of your freedoms, the iRS running your healthcare…are chilling to you…then sign this petition, make a few calls..make yourself heard and pass this on.

On October 1st, millions of Americans will be required to enroll in Obamacare and could lose access to their doctors and be forced to pay higher premiums and higher taxes. But there’s still time to stop it. Republicans in Congress can stop Obamacare if they refuse to fund it.

Sign the petition and tell Congress: Don’t Fund Obamacare!

The road to hell, now known as Obamacare, …..is not paved with good intentions…..It passed on Christmas Eve through threats, blackmail and dirty deals…

Make a difference….Sign the petition…Voice your dismay…..And pass it on…

But then in comes the communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis and we may see that obaMao is doing it on purpose. And their was a time that the o-man said in frustration that he had found "you can´t change it from the inside".

The difference in socialism and communism is? The legacy of a the o-man and our democrat party is a dark one.

It seems that the current GOP leadership is more concerned in keeping their own jobs that doint anything for the average American. All they seem to do is NOT doing anything that might upset some set of voters. There is no one who will step forward and actually LEAD. And that is why I have continually advocated that we, the people, stand up and exercise our 2nd Amendment rights. But, what we desperately need is a handful of fearless men and women to come forward and LEAD us in overthrowing this tyranical government and return to the type of country that was intended. And we can do it if enough of us have the courage to do so.

Where are the people we elected to stop such behavior? Sitting in their ivory tower with a 10% approval rating. As long as they juggle their Santa Clause act and their kumbaya singing with the “people back home,” we will continue to slide into the Marxist sink hole.

re #4 -- my Answer to your Q is:

90% of congress has been either framed or is guilty of trespasses that the O administration has at their disposal to use as blackmail. So all we conservatives get is a bit of blustering/posturing but no beef. Same could be said for the Dems who are closer to the middle.

Our only answer is Term Limits & a whole new congress that can´t be bought/blackmailed into silence. We have to have a grass roots (i.e. Tea Party) swell that puts the new representatives in their seats with the campaign commitment to immediately legislate Term Limits.

I see no other way to save America. And it´s a long shot.

#33 echoes a question that´s been on my mind: what is the duty of a citizen when their republic has been seized by dictators?

To my mind the socialist totalitarians, of both parties, have broken the social contract and I no longer owe alliegence or obedience to their unlawful edicts. We will continue to live our lives and when or if we bump into bureaucratic regulatory enforcers we will not comply. We will feign ignorance, be slothful in our lack of response, deny, and delay. No government hack will be allowed on our property without a warrant. We will defend our land, our liberty, and our Faith.

Fish are losing their survival instinct as the world´s oceans become more acidic because of climate change, researchers have claimed. The study confirms laboratory experiments showing that the behavior of reef fishes can be seriously affected by increased carbon dioxide concentrations in the ocean. Carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is absorbed into ocean waters, where it dissolves and lowers the pH of the water. The new study is the first to analyze the sensory impairment of fish from CO2 seeps, where pH is similar to what climate models forecast for surface waters by the turn of the century. ´These results verify our laboratory

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. WASHINGTON - Americans increasingly think Democrats have a better plan for healthcare than Republicans, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted after the White House announced that more people than expected had signed up for the "Obamacare" health plan. Nearly one-third of respondents in the online survey released on Tuesday said they prefer Democrats´ plan, policy or approach to healthcare, compared to just 18 percent for Republicans. This marks both an uptick in support for Democrats and a slide for Republicans since a similar poll in February. Big Government: The Congressional Budget Office warns of a terrifying, unprecedented level of national debt in the coming decade. That fits nicely with Democrats´ objectives, but not with our nation´s founding principles. Andrew Jackson, who in 1835 succeeded in paying off the national debt, was famous for considering debt slavery. The current fiscal path the U.S. is on does indeed lead to slavery, but the slave masters of the future will be well-heeled politicians and federal bureaucrats, not plantation owners. The CBO´s new budget projections contain an eerie warning that we are on path from today´s already unfathomable $17.7 trillion in gross

Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Now, the only child of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explains, "I live in a city and a state and a country where I

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

President Obama pulled a surprise move Monday at the White House’s Easter Prayer Breakfast when he selected Gene Robinson to lead the closing prayer. Robinson is famously known as the first openly gay Episcopal bishop. Talking Points Memo’s Tom Kludt spotted the following tweet from Robinson, who was in attendance: (Tweet) Robinson, 66, became diocesan bishop of New Hampshire in March 2004. He retired in January 2013 and is currently a senior fellow at the progressive

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of
