New EPA chief promises jobs,
pulls no punches in
climate change fight

Washington Times, by Ben Wolfgang

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 7/31/2013 9:54:00 AM

In her first speech since taking over the Environmental Protection Agency, Gina McCarthy came out swinging Tuesday and promised to ramp up the aggressive climate change agenda laid out by President Obama.(snip)“Can we stop talking about environmental regulations killing jobs? Please, at least for today,” she said during remarks at Harvard Law School. “We need to cut carbon pollution to grow jobs. We need to cut carbon pollution to strengthen the economy. Let’s talk about it positively. Let’s approach this as an opportunity of a lifetime. There are too many lifetimes at stake.”

Comments:
In addition to the many other areas where 0bama has his boot on our necks preventing economic freedom, this woman alone demonstrates that there will be no chance of a real recovery while this administration is in power.
One thing you can say about leftists doctrinaires, they are completely impervious to reason outside of their mindset and are completely unable to learn from history or the reality of the present.
Her predecessor was an unethical programmed dolt, but I think this broad is downright dangerous.

I recall some critics comparing Obama to the story of the Emperor´s New Clothes, believing that at some point people would realize there is nothing there. Unfortunately, we now live in a society where most people have bought and are wearing the same clothes. They will not ever admit to being wrong, just like the emperor. And so now we live in bizarro world, where people with the power to inflict misery and damage on millions routinely lie or say the most stupid things, and the public just nods lest anyone look and see they have nothing on.

This woman is as dangerous as Obama, and just as delusional. What´s sad is that Gina was Mittens EPA advisor when he was governor of Massachusetts and became EPA head after the Arizona RINO, McCain, bowed to Harry Reid´s demands to confirm McCarthy and 6 other leftists.

As posted before, McCain is surely thanking Obama for not having federal goons conduct IRS, OSHA, ICE and EPA audits of his wife´s business or their joint tax returns. McCain only acts in his own best interest.

Thanks, Gina McCarthy for confirming you are a clueless blithering idiot.

Free clue, fool: We cannot control our climate. In fact, if we reduced our CO2 output to zero, the temperature difference in 2100 would be undetectable. And reducing our CO2 output to zero means all 310 million of us have to die.

I go to Astronomy Picture of the Day every day and today there is an exhibit of how insidious this movement is. Yes, even APOD has come out for climate change and the effects changing sea levels. I am heartened that in the APOD "discuss" for todays exhibit there are people commenting for reason. #16, Nixon may have created it, but it was the Democrats who hijacked it with lawyers, loopholes all in attempt to stop development.
It´s since been used by Democrats to control industries.

I´ll challenge her, imagine if we spent $100 billion to help retrofit the older coal-fired power plants instead of just closeing them?

Imagine the ripple effect for jobs.

The issue for the Democrats now is oil, natural gasoline, coal? Obtaining it means affecting the environment, so they´re against it.

KUALA LUMPUR - About 100 Malaysian Muslim activists protested on Friday outside the US embassy against the coming visit by President Barack Obama, denouncing him as an enemy of Islam. The protesters marched to the embassy in Kuala Lumpur from a nearby mosque after Friday afternoon prayers, shouting "God is great" and "Obama is the enemy of the Prophet Muhammad." This is not a joke, but it is funny. It´s also practical. Argentina´s National Institute for Agricultural Technology (INTA) has invented a way to convert cow flatulence into usable energy, and it involves putting a plastic backpack on a cow. In other words, cow fartpacks are here.(snip)Here´s how the fartpacks work: tubes run from the backpack into the cows´ rumen (or biggest digestive tract). The two bombers who killed and maimed innocent people at the Boston marathon a year ago had come as refugees to America, from conflicts that America and her people did nothing to cause. They had been granted the privileges of a law-abiding democracy, including education, health care and the precious freedoms for which Americans have fought in two world wars. Their situation was incomparably better than it would have been, had they stayed behind in Chechnya. Among the many privileges that they enjoyed religious freedom was by no means the least important. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent
