Disgraced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer thinks New York City mayoral candidate and former Rep. Anthony Weiner is a terrible husband for allowing his wife, Huma Abedin, on the campaign trail while Weiner defends himself in yet another sexting scandal. Spitzer, who himself is trying to make a political comeback by running for New York City comptroller, has kept his wife off the trail. Spitzer resigned in disgrace after he was caught (snip) The Daily News headline in the print edition simply read, "Even This Creep Thinks Weiner´s a Bad Husband!"

Spitzer´s wife is due to file for divorce according to rumors by ´friends´ and told him she would not campaign for him. They have been living separately for sometime now.

Might have a bit of entertainment from those two if weinie or spittle don´t drop out.

Hmm, the headline writer appears to be stretching this story considerably. If you read the very short article you will see what I mean.

That said, if we women had to rate Spitzer vs. Weiner, I think Spitzer would win the Worst Husband and Father contest.

According to the Contra Costa Times, a new California state law that was written to protect students from teachers’ sexual misconduct had a brief loophole that allowed a teacher who was fired for alleged child sex abuse to be hired at another school. Ron Guinto, 32, had been held last autumn on multiple charges: kidnapping, forcible lewd acts on a child, sending lewd images to a minor over the Internet, forcible oral copulation on a minor and forcible sodomy on a child while he was working at Making Waves Academy in Richmond. While the horror show involving Brendan Eich, Proposition 8, and Mozilla was reaching its ignominious crescendo, I was in Milan, Italy, speaking before an energized crowd of activists in the Lombardy region’s county hall. Unaware of the witch hunt carried out by McCarthy’s rainbow-brandishing gay great-grandsons in Silicon Valley, a middle-aged man came forward and cried out in Italian, “Is it just me, or is the gay lobby imposing a dictatorship on us with their so-called scientific experts?” The science to which he referred wasn’t JavaScript, but rather psychology and pediatrics. Whether or not this will actually end up hurting Mozilla, one wonders whether Mozilla even anticipated the possibility. The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
