of marriage

Michael Moore is divorcing his wife of 21 years. The Fahrenheit 9/11 director and political activist filed a complaint against his producer partner, Kathleen Glynn, on June 21. According US news site MLive, Michael, 59, and Kathleen, 55, no longer live together and court papers have say there is ´no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved.´ The couple have no children together but have a long working relationship with Kathleen acting as producer on several of Michael´s projects including the controversial documentaries Capitalism: A Love Story and Sicko.

Comments:
If this isn´t an amicable divorce, it could be interesting.

A lady friend once told me that having a sex life with a 350+ pound husband was futility. But since the brain is the main sex organ, the hundred kilos of adipose fat that Moore was carrying around his belly and butt didn´t matter as much as the fat between his ears. I hope she gets the best divorce attorney that Moore can afford. And that she takes him to the cleaners.

Michael probably filed for divorce because his soon to be ex-wife kept insisting that he wear the George W. Bush mask when they had sex!!! So, like everything else, it´s Bush´s fault!!!

Michael Moore´s wife, Kathleen, is just as radical as he and deserves no sympathy for choosing to spend 21 years with that man.

If you are a member of the 53% of the US population who actually pays income taxes, due today without a penalty, perhaps this chart from the Internal Revenue Service and analyzed by Mark J. If lawmakers in Springfield thought they maneuvered beyond the treacherous topic of pension reform with their December votes to begin rescuing the state´s floundering pension system, they thought wrong. Chicago, with its enormously underfunded pension plans, is next in line. Three years into his mayoral term — after campaigning on a promise to fix pensions — Rahm Emanuel finally is ready to file legislation that would reduce the city´s dangerously unfunded pension liabilities for municipal workers and laborers. Emanuel says he has a deal with those employees´ unions that would bring two of the city´s four funds for retirees closer

Denver hosted the Democratic National Convention in 2008 and the first presidential debate during the 2012 race. Colorado Republican party chairman Ryan Call told 7NEWS Friday that the key downtown venues were at the center of a plan to bring the 2016 RNC to Denver. Call says under the proposal, the Pepsi Center will serve as the principal event site -- hosting key speeches and the nominating process. Election Day is almost nine months off. But right now Republicans seem almost certain to hold the House of Representatives and are likely to take the Senate. Which raises the inevitable question: How might the GOP seize defeat from the jaws of victory? Two occasions stand out, two obvious obstacles ahead that could lead to disastrous Republican stumbles, two pitfalls on the path to a happy GOP Election Day. Republicans are pretty good at falling into such pits. One is the increase in the debt limit, which Congress will have to deal with in the next month or two. The other

DENVER - Amendment 66, the K-12 education funding measure, has failed in Colorado. Even in Democratic strongholds of Boulder and Denver counties, the measure was failing or barely even. Amendment 66 constitutionally and statutorily would alter Colorado law to change how the state funds education. Firstly, it raises the state individual income tax rate from 4.63 percent to 5 percent on the first $75,000 of taxable income. That is equivalent to $472.5 if you earn exactly $75,000 in taxable income per year. If you earn more, any income beyond the $75,000 is taxed at a rate of 5.9 percent.

Thousands of Californians are discovering what Obamacare will cost them — and many don´t like what they see. These middle-class consumers are staring at hefty increases on their insurance bills as the overhaul remakes the healthcare market. Their rates are rising in large part to help offset the higher costs of covering sicker, poorer people who have been shut out of the system for years. Although recent criticism of the healthcare law has focused on website glitches and early enrollment snags, experts say sharp price increases for individual policies have the greatest potential to erode public support for President Obama´s

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like

As he moves from lobbyists to the golf course, from press conferences to the tanning bed, he remains oblivious to all that is around him. He has power, incredible power, and yet to this day he has no understanding of the election that made it so. Moreover, all around him are astonishing opportunities for him to be an historic figure -- one who could and should be the man who did more than any other single person in turning back the red tide of Obama. It’s all there for Speaker of the House, and yet John Boehner manages to miss

President Obama asserts that 8 million people have signed up for Obamacare, as though that were something to be proud of. In fact, Obamacare has always been a fiasco from a fiscal perspective–a black hole of subsidies and expanded Medicaid, with largely fictitious mechanisms in place to pay for it. As the number of subsidized participants grows, the disaster gets worse. Charles Blahous explains: Our national discussion…is missing the truly significant story here; what is unfolding before our eyes is a colossal fiscal disaster, poised to haunt legislators and taxpayers for decades to come. It is quite possible that the ACA is

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist

In an op-ed published in the Boston Globe on Easter Sunday and posted on the State Department website, Secretary of State John Kerry recalled his days as an altar boy and pointed out that he is “the first Catholic Secretary of State in 33 years.” Alexander Haig, who served as secretary of state to President Ronald Reagan from January 1981 to July 1982, was also a Catholic. Last month, I traveled to Rome with President Obama, where I was honored to meet His Holiness Pope Francis,” said Kerry. “As an altar boy six decades ago, I never imagined that I

It’s time for Western states to take control of federal lands within their borders, lawmakers and county commissioners from Western states said at Utah’s Capitol on Friday. More than 50 political leaders from nine states convened for the first time to talk about their joint goal: wresting control of oil-, timber -and mineral-rich lands away from the feds. "It’s simply time," said Rep. Ken Ivory, R-West Jordan, who organized the Legislative Summit on the Transfer for Public Lands along with Montana state Sen. Jennifer Fielder. "The urgency is now." Utah House Speaker Becky Lockhart, R-Provo, was flanked by a dozen participants, including

If expanding the guest list to include Michelle Obama at graduation for high school students in the Kansas capital city means fewer seats for friends and family, some students and their parents would prefer the first lady not attend. A furor over what the Topeka school district considers an honor has erupted after plans were announced for Obama to address a combined graduation ceremony for five area high schools next month an 8,000-seat arena. For some, it was the prospect of a tight limit on the number of seats allotted to each graduate. For others, it was the notion that Obama´s speech,

New York Times columnist David Brooks said Sunday that he believes President Obama’s foreign policy isn’t “tough enough” and that he has a “manhood problem” when it comes to dealing with leaders such as Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar Assad. Mr. Brooks expanded on Sen. Bob Corker’s earlier comments on “Fox News Sunday” that Mr. Obama is “creating an air of permissiveness” with regards to Russia. (Snip) “And let’s face it, Obama, whether deservedly or not, does have a — I’ll say it crudely — but a manhood problem in the Middle East,” he continued.
