Obama: My Consumer Financial
Protection Bureau was a really good idea

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Hi, everybody. Three years ago this weekend, we put in place tough new rules of the road for the financial sector so that irresponsible behavior on the part of the few could never again cause a crisis that harms millions of middle-class families. As part of that reform, we set up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the first-ever independent consumer watchdog with one job: to protect families from that sort of behavior. Two years ago, I nominated a man named Rich Cordray, a former attorney general from Ohio, to run this consumer protection bureau. But Republicans in the Senate refused to give

Most of the homeowners who got into trouble with loans they could not pay off, were not lured into the deal by some shady mortgage broker, no, these people were more than happy to sign on the dotted line. These folks could not afford to buy such expensive houses, but when the democrats, Barney Frank and Dodd pressured the banks to loan to these folks, they were more than willing to buy. And when the house went up in value, they were more than willing to refinance and get out all the cash they could to buy more stuff they wanted. Then they quit paying, and once again got free stuff, as they got to stay in these expensive homes for years without paying a dime. Let´s get real here.

If you burrow thru the Agenda 21 docs adopted in The President´s Global Development Council, you´ll find some frightening nuggets that reveal the true purpose of this council.

In order to confiscate gold or other financial assets for redistribution, they need a database that tracks each persons financial holdings. Sure... they have a good amount recorded already you need a team to manage, sort, update & target the data.

Yet another lie from the Liar-In-Chief.
The Repubs did not refuse to give an up or down vote to Corday because they opposed the law (which they should because it is stupid and invites cronyism and corruption).
No, the Repubs objected to Corday because he is a Leftist activist. As Ohio AG he singlehandedly assisted in allowing fraudulent voter registrations to be accepted, thereby permitting Obama to steal the Ohio election. Remember Mickey Mouse, and Batman registrations? Yup, Ohio and Corday.
He is a criminal.

Another creepy Marxist in a position of financial authority. This is not about your "protection", it is about "control". Cordray will have access to your credit information and know exactly how much you are spending and what you are spending it on.

If you go on vacation, the feds can now tell you that you should have given the money to the National Givernment in the form of taxes instead of spending it on a vacation.

Eat out at a restaurant, now they can link what you ate to Obamacare and deny you the privilege of being "permitted" to dine out and eat what you want.

Use your charge card to donate to "the opposition", and who knows what punishment they will think up for this unacceptable behavior.

We are in Big Trouble with this control freak in a position of such authority.

Thanks again dingy Harry and Demonrat party.

The impending death of Archie

Hate to break the news to you, but our old pal Archie Andrews is doomed. After 73 years of not looking a day over 17, the long-running all-American symbol of wholesomeness and teen goodness is set to die in July, according to Archie Comics. He´ll go out good, saving someone. Which is swell. But is this really necessary in a soiled age of cynicism, non-heroes and non-role models, lying leaders and downright criminals? It's already hard enough being a parent with all the unwholesome temptations at hand. Must we inevitably give up every enduring symbol of hope and good and fun for a one-month publicity splash?

There was plenty of talk in Washington this week about equal pay. The thing is — it was just that: more talk. As a woman who worked at McDonald’s to get through college…. as the mom of two young daughters … and as the elected representative of thousands of hardworking women, I have always supported equal pay for equal work. And if a woman is being paid less than a man because of gender discrimination, that is both wrong and against the law. The protections provided to women and others in the Equal Pay Act must be enforced to make certain there is no pay disparity because of discrimination.

Hi, everybody. Earlier this week was Equal Pay Day. It marks the extra time the average woman has to work into a new year to earn what a man earned the year before. You see, the average woman who works full-time in America earns less than a man — even when she’s in the same profession and has the same education. That´s wrong. In 2014, it’s an embarrassment. Women deserve equal pay for equal work. This is an economic issue that affects all of us. Women make up about half our workforce. And more and more, they’re our families’ main breadwinners. So it’s good for everyone when women are paid fairly.

For many years whenever the president nears any crowd, a Secret Service agent walks ahead along the rope line ordering everyone to keep hands out of their pockets where agents can see them. That´s less of a problem these days. Because the hands of most everyone in such locations are holding cellphones to take photos of the nearby celebrity.
