Leftist law professor says gay marriage

Daily Caller, by Eric Owens

In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s two recent rulings validating gay marriage, a Boston College Law School professor has come out and admitted what gay marriage adversaries have long argued: incest and polygamy are just around the bend. “You know those opponents of marriage equality who said government approval of same-sex marriage might erode bans on polygamous and incestuous marriages?” asks the professor, Kent Greenfield. “They’re right.” In a piece at the website of The American Prospect, the Catholic law school prof then goes on to challenge gay marriage supporters to differentiate totally acceptable gay and lesbian

When you redraw the boundaries so they no longer represent the natural order, who is to say where the new boundary stops? Shouldn´t I be able to marry my father so I can avoid inheritance taxes? And my sisters should be able to join in the union as well. Might as well get the family pets in on it too. We all love each other and we just want to be happy and free from taxes.

Or perhaps I will want to marry myself. I could use some extra deductions.

It all seems so absurd, but none of it is any more absurd that gay marriage being foisted on us now.

LLP is absolutely right. And after that the laws about sex with animals and minors will be removed. A very long but certain campaign.

Such restrictions are taboos - a word seldom used now - from the past. They are incorporated into major religions and many laws. There is no sense debating exactly how or why they began, that is a chicken and egg question.

In order for the State to be absolute no other source of conscience and discipline can exist. Thus anything the religious might advocate must be erased from law to weaken religion.

The State is always, of course, to be able to create unlimited restrictions on behavior. The point is that no other institution is to have any influence whatever.

We´ve also said that other arraignments, such as three gals and two guys, as a marriage unit. The boys basketball team wants to marry the girls cheerleader team. Grandpa wants to marry his granddaughters...

Where do it end?

The law professor is basically suggesting that gay marriage is the result of a permissive society and that society might also wish to become permissive to things like incest and polygamy. He´s wrong on two counts.

Firstly, gay marriage is not the product of permissiveness. On the contrary, it is the "conservative wing" of the gay rights movement. It is anti-permissiveness. Secondly, what on earth does monogamy (gay marriage) have to do with sexual fetishes of the exploitative kind (incest, polygamy)?

He just seems confused, not a quality I´d expect or desire to see in a professor.

The subject is Marriage of CONSENTING ADULT humans OVER 18. It has nothing to do Pedophilia (under 18)or Beastiality (how do animals give consent?). How stupid can one be. Then everyone here wonders why the country is screwed up when supposedly intelligent people don´t even know the difference between marriage of adults and sex with a child. Geeesh!

ROME - Pope Francis washed the feet of 12 disabled and elderly people Thursday - women and non-Catholics among them - in a pre-Easter ritual designed to show his willingness to serve others like a "slave." Francis´ decision in 2013 to perform the Holy Thursday ritual on women and Muslim inmates at a juvenile detention center helped define his rule-breaking papacy just two weeks after his election. It riled traditionalist Catholics, who pointed to the Vatican´s own regulations that the ritual be performed only on men since Jesus´ 12 apostles were men.

In Detroit´s unfolding saga, the only innocent victims are city residents. So if there is any case for a Motown bailout, it is to make the city more livable for them. However, that seems to be the main goal of neither the Democratic White House nor the state´s Republican governor -- both of whom have come up with nifty new schemes to shovel taxpayer largesse to city retirees. Just two weeks ago, Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr had been threatening to put a buzzsaw to the city´s $3.5 billion unfunded pension liabilities to lop off savings to “invest” in city services. Most voters think the White House is trying to cover-up what happened in Benghazi and want Congress to continue to investigate the administration’s handling of the attack on the U.S. consulate there that killed four Americans. That’s according to a Fox News poll released Thursday. Sixty percent of voters want lawmakers to keep investigating what happened in Benghazi. That’s down from 65 percent who felt that way in November, and a high of 73 percent in early June 2013.
