Woman Wears Mermaid Tail,
Banned From Community Pool

Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:Rafter, 7/18/2013 6:28:15 PM

A woman has been banned from swimming in her community’s pool because she wants to wear a blue, silicone mermaid tail. Jenna Conti, who lives in a subdivision east of downtown Tampa, had been in the community pool with her custom-made tail once before with the staff’s okay. [snip]But last week, the community leaders told her it violated a policy against swim fins. [snip] The story has gained worldwide interest since a resident of the community posted photos of Conti in the pool on Facebook.

Comments:
Think Chicken of the Sea wants this lady?
Regardless... Where do you take a mermaid on a date?
To a dive-in movie. Next, have some seafood together.
Eat all the oysters you want, but watch out if she has crabs.
I once met a mermaid at some dive.

That´s how I learned all this.

Howlingly funny!
She should file a discrimination lawsuit.
The pool discriminates against mermaids.
She ought to win a bundle!

Then one evening her flame of love blew out
Blow me down and pick me up!

I know I´m raining on the parade, but there may be a perfectly good reason that swim fins aren´t allowed. And if they´re not, then the mermaid tail shouldn´t be, either.

It´s a community pool, and I doubt she has any feeling in the mermaid tail -- all she has to do is inadvertently slap someone under water to create a potential for injury.
