On Thursday, the parents of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin, Tracy Martin and Sabrina Fulton, as well as family attorney Ben Crump, sat down for interviews with CBS, ABC and NBC. Speaking out for the first time since the verdict which found George Zimmerman not guilty of murdering their son, Travyon Martin’s parents expressed their shock in interviews with CBS This Morning, ABC’s Good Morning America, and NBC’s Today. “I want America to know that Trayvon was a fun-loving child,” Tracy Martin told CBS’s Charlie Rose. “He was our child. We miss him dearly.”
Here come the two newest members of the race promoting, poverty pimp crowd. Revrum Al´s protegés.
I felt great sympathy for them until I read how they went from black church to black church last year collecting money to assuage their grief (and pay for their attorneys). I´m sure Sabrina got a few nice dresses and hats for her trips.
So, as I said, here they come. Watch for them at a church or demonstration near you.
This love fest by the Kneepads will not gain any traction. Most folks are ready to move on. St. Trayvon´s parents need to be asked the hard questioned about their role. What did they do to help St. Trayvon when they learned he was in trouble at school for thief, dope and other criminal activities. Ms. St. Trayvon, way did you kick St. Trayvon out of your house? What level of adult supervision did they employ the evening St. Trayvon joined the other saints?
Zimmerman is a free man, as is Tracy Martin. Perhaps we should investigate his gang ties? Why did he have his gang tattoo on his neck "doctored" before the trial? When he said that was not Trayvon screaming on the tape, I bet what was going on in his mind was that he had "taught" Trayvon NOT to scream like a girl..so it couldn´t be HIS Trayvon.
Trayvon Martin chose to assault Zimmerman for following him. Zimmerman was following from a distance so Martin could have felt no immediate danger. He instead chose to confront AND attack rather than to just confront Zimmerman and ask why he was being followed. THAT is the contributing factor as to why the situation went out of control. Martin chose to "whoop ass" instead of confront. THAT is why Martin is dead.
Poor Tracy. His gansta wannabe, dope smoking, drug dealing, sweet innocent child never got to buy his first gun. Never got to hold up his first cracker. Never got to shoot his first crazy white homo. All the memories that will never be. How I feel for them. They couldn´t even be bothered to wait around for the verdict.
The lawyers, West and O’Mara, at trial were required to be kind to the memory of the deceased Trayvon. But, when Trayvon’s unthinking supporters continue to refuse to let it go, this human sympathy for the dead will have become diminished.
The evidence shows that Trayvon was not afraid of Zimmerman, as Mrs. Fulton surmises. Trayvon despised Zimmerman – because Ms. Jeantel had convinced Trayvon that this pudgy, short, dark-complexioned, soft-talking Hispanic was a gay “rapist”. [[Does anyone really think that Zimmerman’s mild, non-authoritative manner of speech would scare anyone?!]] Trayvon may have needed glasses – or a hearing aid.
But, nonetheless, Zimmerman had to be dealt with – as an insult to Trayvon’s “manhood”. Trayvon was going to show his woman, Ms. Jeantel – he was going to take a trophy.
The physical evidence and the eyewitnesses are clear that Trayvon had landed the "first punch" -- and the 25 thereafter. And, contrary to Mrs. Fulton’s belief-system (which requires that she”believe-in” her dead son), the evidence also shows that Trayvon had plenty of time to get home, but instead (and, at Ms. Jeantel’s urging) Trayvon doubled-back, jumped Zimmerman, and beat him to a pulp.
Me too #9—if #7 is making a point, I don´t get it.
Trayvon Martin´s parents would be well advised to be quiet, allow people to express whatever sympathy they feel for the fact that regardless of circumstances their son is dead.
If their goal wasn´t to make a lot of $$ lecturing, appearing, whatever, they´d acknowledge that they were anything but model parents and accept a healthy share of the responsibility for their 17 year old son. But don´t hold your breath waiting for that...not while these people are rewriting the truth and demanding that the muslim in the White House go over this with a fine toothed comb, which he´ll do if it will help him ratchet up racism and if he ever decides he has time for something other than campaigning to sell another lie or packing to go on vacation.
The Zimmerman family should have the Martin / Fulton family investigated. And don´t forget the woman who really raised Trayvon. Oh please, lets open the floodgates of truth be opened. All of the truth. That could all come out in a no holds barred civil trial or trialS.
Not a child, he was a street thug, just like his Dad who is a gang member. Don´t BS us. If he did not die that night (when he was out getting his skittles and arizona drink to add to the Robitussin he already had - to get high - he probably would have gotten himself killed or incarcerated in the meantime. Bad parents raise bad kids.
These two people have done everything to profit from Trayvon´s death; his mother immediately got a trademark for her dead son´s image and name, so all t-shirts would bring cash to her. Father and mother received a 1.5 Million Dollar wrongful death settlement from the homeowner´s association. I did not know about their going from church to church to gather more money. If you remember, Trayvon´s mother left before he was three, so she really did not have much invested in this troubled kid. The father quickly filed for divorce from Alicia, because he did not want to share his half of the million dollar settlement, since he had already been living with Brandy for the last few years. Trash.
These ordinary folks, whatever their failures, are regular nobodies like you and me, and yet..they are appealing to the President of the United States for further persecuting the man who shot their son? Who do they think they are? That´s chutzpah in any language. And that says a lot about who the prez is...like he has nothing else to do, that he would involve himself at this level. I am so tired of ALL of them! God bless and protect the Zimmermans.
When are the media going to point out that Attorney Crump (as he apparently likes to be called - as if "attorney" is an honorific!) is a PERSONAL INJURY lawyer. He is in this not for justice but a big wrongful death payday.
I believe the parents are as well. Remember Sybrina saying early on she thought it was "an accident"? She certainly changed her views once she saw the $ signs.
Those posters who believe that Trayvon would scream for help like a girl know nothing -- utterly nothing -- about the street ("gangsta") culture.
Try a little cultural relativism, for a change.
In fact, this lack of knowledge is what got Zimmerman in trouble in the first place. Specifically, if Zimmerman had identified a burglar (and who saw him), the burglar would have run. If the person who sobserved Zimmerman focusing upon (i.e., "profile") him were not a burglar, Zimmerman would have done well to have watched his back. He didn´t.
Until his parents admit that their son had a dark side and face the fact that he was partly to blame in this tragedy noting will ever be resolved. He used drugs, burgled homes, was disruptive in school, and aspired to be a great street fighter and a thug want to be. Not exactly saintly qualities that we are being spoon fed. "He was a fun loving child". Maybe, but that´s not all there was to him.
#9 & 17. Point is that Zimmerman has as much right to be calling for an investigation of Tracy Martin. Martin was involved in a gang, and influenced his son to gansta ways. Getting a gang tattoo doctored to sit at the trial looking like an innocent didn´t fly. If you think Trayvon wasn´t brought up being taught to take his "whoop azz" like a man, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
to the Martins: I am sure you do miss him! He was a fun loving child? Ok. My son was a fun loving child too, but troubled and rebellious and wouldn´t work and a few other bad things. And he died from a decision that he made too. (not to wear a motorcycle helmet) It still hurts that your son is gone FOREVER. I understand that, totally get it. It hurts and hurts, even though we MUST understand that our sons are gone because of decisions they made. Otherwise it´s the equivalent of "my child wouldn´t do that" and don´t we all know how well that works out??? Your son WOULD do that. He DID do that, and worse too, but this time it got him killed. Not murdered. Killed. He´s gone and the best thing for you to do is accept your son for who and what he was, good and bad. You can still mourn him, just because you see what he did and who he was doesn´t mean you didn´t love him, or love him enough. Of course you loved him. But to inflame the emotions of those who already are acting like criminals, rioting in the street with this new excuse...and to deny your son´s habits and behaviors? Noooo. Get hold of your own decency, if you have any left after making money off your own son´s death...
Trayvon´s only " home " was the street. His mother kicked him out of her place and he was parked at his father´s latest girlfriend´s apartment with the woman´s son. Not his " little brother " as the media falsely claims. These two are are cold hearted buzzards circling a corpse for money. What kind of grieving parents trademark their dead son´s name , so they can profit from his death ? Conservative Treehouse is the place to go for the jaw dropping truth about Trayvon and his parents that the media refuses to reveal. From the many incoherent and ignorant lawyers parading around on tv ,it´s not SYG laws that should be changed. But, the Bar Exam.
So much is being said about Trayvon being a child. He was 17 years old. How much did he weigh? What was his height? The truth is being denied or hidden so that the media can spread their agenda. We were flooded with pictures of Trayvon as a little child and having Zimmerman as a grown man.
If Trayvon could attack Zimmerman and hurt him as he did, he was truly strong and able.
I think it needs to be checked out Trayvon´s gang activities and surely by viewing his internet writings and leanings.
Pray for America! God will deliver US from all evil, here and abroad, if only we will repent of our sinful ways and allow Him to rule/reign in our hearts/minds/souls/spirits.
We need to keep challenging those who seek to deny or destroy US - Satan´s tactics of steal/kill/destroy!
We need to know our true enemy - Satan. We do not fight flesh and blood, but spirits in high places - Satan and his devils!
How about Tracy Martin and Sabrina Fulton taking responsibility for the death of their son. They should have made sure he was in school every day learning to be a better person and in bed every night, out of harms´s way. The parents are the ones who killed their own son with their own ignorance and stupidity.
Sabrina and Tracy should be sued for the damages caused by their minor son to Zimmerman, his parents, and the Homeowners Association. They exercised no control over their son who,had been thrown out of school and out of Sabrina´s house. Also, sue the school that failed to turn him over to the criminal system after catching him 1. Defacing school property 2. Possessing burglary tools and jewelry from a crime 3. Marijuana use and possession. Look into Tracy Martin and his emails with Trayvon about getting him a gun. Race hustlers - not grieving parents.
Oh, I get it. The non attorney is to 2nd guess a court of laws verdict? Why did they not ask FOTUS to review??? I thought she was the one with credentials? 2ndly, if I look in the mirror and call myself a cracker, am I racially profiling? (Uhmmm, crak ah or crac uh shoot I just can´t figure this out)
Also, if this controversy were to continue into the civil phase, it seems increasingly unlikely that the Trayvon supporters would be able to continue to conceal the evidence that Trayvon was a gang-banger, a jewelry thief/fence, a drug smoker/dealer, an MMA fighter, a child pornographer, a racist, a homophobe, and a street thug.
Another good reason to avoid all three major networks CBS, ABC and NBC like the plague. The mainstream media defecates on our culture and justice system every day, with this moronic race baiting story being their latest example.
I´ve got news for Trayvon´s parents. Obama is going to go off on vacation soon and will not give one single thought to your son, so give it up. Maybe you should try to take care of the other kids you have and bring them up right instead of trying to make more money off of your dead son.
House-Senate negotiators are close to a modest budget accord to avoid another government shutdown, but suddenly the White House is introducing a last-minute demand. Five years into an economic recovery that President Obama often hails as miraculous, he wants to extend unemployment benefits one more time. Maybe it´s time to consider whether the big expansion of unemployment insurance has increased joblessness. In 2009 the Obama Administration and Congress extended jobless benefits for up to 99 weeks. The point was to help people through the recession, but now the jobless rate is 7%, down from 10%, and the White House still wants
Media: Russian ruler Vladimir Putin dissolved his state news agency on Monday, apparently for being insufficiently fawning. President Obama doesn´t have to worry about that with the dominant media here. The ex-KGB officer ruling an eighth of the planet´s inhabited land for nearly a decade and a half now, with no end in sight thanks to rigged elections, has abolished RIA Novosti and replaced it with a kind of reborn Radio Moscow. "Radio Putin," as it should be called, will propagandize to the rest of the world. RIA actually described the purge it is victim of as heralding "a tightening of state
Hysteria: The British Daily Star reports that Britain is in for 30 years of extreme "killer winter storms" due to climate change. There is, of course, no way anyone can know this for sure. But that's never stopped the alarmists. (Snip) In its "Extreme Weather Events in Europe" report issued last week, the European Academies Science Advisory Council bedeviled the populace about a future of deadly heat waves, floods, droughts and deep freezes. The report, which is the basis for the Daily Star's eye-catching journalism, suggests that individual member states of the European Union "will need to develop and share information
Propaganda: A lesson plan for third-graders linked to a controversial federal education initiative makes sure America´s next generation does not forget who is the one we have been waiting for. During the Soul Train Awards in 2012, comedian and actor Jamie Foxx exhorted a wildly cheering crowd to "first of all (give) honor to god, and our lord and savior Barack Obama," exhibiting the all-too-widespread hero worship that casts rational thought aside and labels even legitimate criticism as virtual blasphemy. The same cult of personality is creeping into lesson plans and reading materials being created under the guise of the platform for
I read at Breitbart that the Satan-worshipping group Satanic Temple wants its very own statue outside the Oklahoma Statehouse in Oklahoma City alongside a Ten Commandments monument. USA Today reports that the Republican legislature invited such insidious activity by authorizing the privately funded Ten Commandments statue on the Capitol grounds. If they were to decline the commission of a Satanic icon, it could constitute an unconstitutional infringement on the First Amendment. The ACLU has already filed a lawsuit for the removal of the monument. As Lucien Greaves, the spokesman for Satanic Temple,
TWO THINGS ALL conservatives love are narratives of decline and talking about conservatism. Put those together and you have the popular argument that conservatism ain’t what it used to be. The chart of that supposed decline, if you were to draw it Ascent of Man style, would start with Edmund Burke looking intelligent and walking upright, followed by William F. Buckley as Australopithecus, slouching. The present age would be represented by some knuckle-dragging, prognathous creature like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. First comes very smart, then pretty smart, and then not very smart at all. Some of those on the right
DOHA, Qatar -- Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has ordered the U.S. military to transport troops from Burundi into the Central African Republic to help quell the latest upsurge in violence there. Hagel approved the order after speaking with French Minister of Defense Jean-Yves Le Drian Monday night from Afghanistan where he was visiting troops. Le Drian asked the U.S. to help get African troops quickly into the country to prevent the violence there from spreading, said Pentagon spokesman Carl Woog. There are more than 1,000 French troops in the Central African Republic, where Christian armed fighters launched an attack
RUSH: Do you know, folks, that you can keep your doctor after all if you´re willing to pay more? That´s from Zeke Emanuel, brother of Rahm Emanuel, who´s one of the architects of Obamacare. And you can. If you´re willing to pay more, you can keep your doctor, and nobody ever said anything else. "Obama didn´t lie to you," he said. "It´s just a matter of choice." No, no, it´s not. We´re losing choice. I was thinking about something. Those of you that were not alive in the 1950s hear a lot about it and how the old fuddy-duddies want
RUSH: I kid you not, the Daily Caller: "Liberals Want to Stop Men From Checking Out Women." Liberals want to make it a crime for men to ogle or otherwise look at or otherwise admire or otherwise dream about or otherwise fantasize about or otherwise look at and laugh, whatever, women. "In the progressive future, men will not be able to look at women´s bodies because that is a terrible thing to do -- and science says so. "Researchers have offered a definitive report into the science of the male ´objectifying gaze,´" and that is in quotes, "in the December
RUSH: There´s a fascinating couple of stories on wealth. Do you know, folks, one of the things, talking about wealth and poverty, the poor, the rich, when I endeavor to explain American exceptionalism -- and, by the way, if I may be a little Obama-like here. In the foreword that I wrote for Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims -- remember that book written for children 10 to 13, primarily for everybody. I wrote my definition of American exceptionalism in a way that young people can understand it. At least I tried to. My uncle read that portion at our
RUSH: Well, they tried to make me the villain in the soap opera about the pope, but it just didn´t take off this time. They´re still out there trying. There´s a left-wing Catholic group with 6,000 signatures to a petition. They´re a left-wing, pro-abortion bunch of Catholics, which means they´re not really Catholic. Anyway, they´re trying to raise all kinds of problems with this, but they´ve not been able to. I have a column here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers by Shikha Dalmia at Reason.com. It´s entitled, "The Pope´s Self-Defeating Anti-Capitalist Rant." The piece does not mention me, but it
President Obama has found someone to blame for the Affordable Care Act´s rolling failures besides Republicans. ObamaCare is the government´s fault, not his. On Thursday, Mr. Obama dropped by American University for a heart to heart with Chris Matthews, and the MSNBC host wondered who in the executive branch is responsible for the botched health-care rollout. Mr. Obama listed a few impersonal culprits including "cynicism," "Washington gridlock" and "the management of government," but he then drifted into another classic. "The challenge, I think, that we have going forward is not so much my personal management style or particular issues around White House
The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
A veteran Washington adviser who has worked for four Presidents on both sides of the political aisle said that the stunning Government Accountability Report report that found President Barack Obama has not had a one-on-one meeting with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius since the passage of Obamacare over three years ago is an indictment of the entire White House operation and shows that the Obama administration has bordered on "malfeasance." "I have no doubt the White House is right, that Secretary Sebelius was in several group meetings with the president about health care," Gergen caveated, "but the whole
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? In an interview with Playboy, Ben Affleck said, "When I watch a guy [on film] I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him": PLAYBOY: You developed a political profile campaigning for presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. How did that come about? AFFLECK: I grew up in a house with a mother who was a teacher and a Freedom Rider—very left-wing Democrats living in a heterogeneous working-class neighborhood. I picked up a lot of those values there, and I
The U.S. isn´t called "America the Beautiful" for nothing. Each year, millions of tourists come from home and abroad to see the country´s majestic landscape and iconic sites, from the Grand Canyon to the Statue of Liberty. But there are also cool, quirky attractions, like Vermont´s Ben & Jerry´s Factory and Tennessee´s Graceland, the former home of Rock and Roll King Elvis Presley. From California to New York and everywhere in between, the country is chock-full of incredible attractions that keep luring in visitors. Here are the best tourist attractions in every state.
MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry opened her program over the weekend with a commentary about the Affordable Care Act’s colloquial moniker: “Obamacare.” She said that the word was originally created as a “derogatory term,” designed by white men as a way to delegitimize President Barack Obama and his achievement. However, she said that the term will soon be synonymous with all of Obama’s accomplishments and she urged her audience to use the term with pride. “I want to talk today about a controversial word. It’s a word that has been with us for years, and like it or not, it’s indelibly
Call me Grinch, call me Scrooge. Call me Lord Voldemort of the Yuletide. None could be worse than sending me a holiday card with glossy photographs of your lovely, smiling family. My wife, Emily, and I place your cards like trophies on our shelves, continuing an old-school practice that began about 175 years ago as a way of maintaining relationships as families and friends moved far and wide. Today’s cards may appear more personalized — with photos of spouses, kids and pets, and distribution lists much smaller than a sprawling collection of Facebook friends. But when I flip over the photo
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a last minute decision not to participate in a memorial service for the late South African President Nelson Mandela, despite having notified the South African government that he would attend the event. The decision was made in light of the high transportation costs resulting from the short notice of the trip and the security required for the prime minister in Johannesburg. The Prime Minister’s Office found that the trip would have cost roughly 7 million shekels ($2.4 million) – 2.8 million shekels for chartering a private El Al plane and a further 3.2 million shekels for
