US Department of Justice
announces review of Zimmerman case

Washington -The decision came after a day when civil rights leaders expressed fury that a jury of six women had found George Zimmerman, 29, not guilty both of second degree murder and the lesser charge of manslaughter after shooting dead Trayvon Martin in February 2012. As Barack Obama issued a statement from the White House calling for calm on all sides, the department of justice said federal prosecutors would now examine the case for a Federal prosecution under civil rights legislation. “Experienced federal prosecutors will determine … whether federal prosecution is appropriate in accordance with the department’s policy governing

We are suppose to be a nation of laws. The DOJ is insulting these 6 jurors by questioning their findings, just because Holder doesn´t like the way it turned out. Tuff cookies.....!!!

Honestly, this is two things.
1) Double Jeopardy
2) A Witch Hunt

And Eric Holder will keep trying him until he´s convicted of something

#2, double jeopardy means you can´t be tried for the same crime in the same court. GZ was tried in a state court. Had he broken any federal laws, he could be tried separately in a federal court. Criminal exoneration does not always mean civil exoneration.

FBI has been all over this case for months and found NOTHING about civil rights violation. The DOJ will do some cursory work and say (as a way to save face) -- "Although there is the possibility, however slight, of a civil rights violation, it is the opinion of the DOJ that the nation would be better served by healing . . . " or some such rubbish.

This falls into the realm of prosecutors being able to indict a ham sandwich. They will find something, maybe the bogus child abuse charge that even Judge Nelson would not allow. It is a sad day for the Zimmerman family, but a sadder day for justice in America.

I hope O´Mara comes out and blasts this decision. I hope all Americans likewise react negatively to this outrage.

The FBI already reviewed this case in the beginning. They determined there was no racial bias in the case and left it for Florida to handle (after making sure Zim got charged). Now that the evidence has cleared him, they want to take another shot at him. The only way they can stick some sort of racial bias in this case is to manufacture it.

Wander over to The Conservative Treehouse blog and read the articles about the tangled web of relationships that make up the racial grievance industry. It´s the same group that wrangled the Pigford settlements and it goes all the way to the White House. All of the same players are involved in this case. They aren´t going to let it go.

I thought there was a thing called double jeopardy. If found not guilty that is the end of it. Silly me, laws of the United States are no longer in force. It is sort of like the Justice Department now makes up its own laws day by day according to its political agenda. The United States is now a third world country and we better get used to thinking that way because that is what we are under the Obama regime.

What the DOJ should be telling minority communities that have a stake in what happened, is that when a member of the community encounters someone on the street who has just as much right to be there, and the community member takes it upon himself to sucker punch that person in the face, breaking the person´s nose, and knocking him down, then jumps on top of that person and slams that person´s head into the concrete sidewalk; that these days, with the proliferation of State concealed carry laws along with the lawful right to self-defense, the community member could end up dead. That´s what this case was all about when you break it down to the nitty gritty.

Kangaroo court, racialist justice.

The great OzBama has spoken but did he wink and nod to the would be rioters? How far back has this set race relations. I know I am done with it. Let those who sow the wind, reap the whirlwind of their own souls IMO.

How can Holder try Zimmerman as a white man? Now is the time to call for an end to the cancer of affirmative action. Human nature dictates that if one can get an advantage over others, they will take it and think it their due.

Those who live large on the guv dollar thinkk they deserve it just like Winnie the Pooh and his hand in the Honey Jar.

If you ever wondered what it is like to live in Zimbabwe with the corrupt dictator Mugabe, you have your answer in the Zimmerman case. Barack Mugabe has instructed his Minister of Justice, Egregious Holder, to file civil charges against GZ. Charges will be pursued until after the 2014 elections, when Brother Obama calls off his goon, Holder. But between now and 11/14, expect to see almost daily stories on MSNBC and CNN on how Holder is pursuing the white Hispanic racist who voted for our black racist president. It is going to be an ugly 15 months.

The disconnect is total. There is zero possibility of bridging the gap between those who see Zimmerman´s verdict as just and those who see it as a Emmett Till all over again. Saint Trayvon, the unarmed teenager, even the child, forever the adorable boy in his photographs years before, bringing Skittles and tea to his baby brother, stalked by the White Hispanic, wannabe cop, the hater and racist who murdered the son our White African president never had. There is no communicating with those who have so much invested in that narrative. It´s depressing.

If the DOJ under the leadership of the criminal Holder dares to manufacture some kind of civil charges against GZ it will all blow up in their faces. There is enough evidence out there to convict Holder of misuse of taxpayer money and interfering with a lawful case down in Sanford, Florida by busing in demonstrators and anti-Zimmerman operatives. Who cares if some racist criminal "civil rights" leaders are furious, they can go pound sand and should be sued for racism.

On Tuesday morning, a plane owned in trust by the Bank of Utah showed up in a very visible area of the Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran. What was it doing there exactly? Nobody knows, reports The New York Times. Under President Barack Obama, the United States has eased some of the long-standing punitive economic sanctions against Iran. Still, very little American — or European — economic activity is allowed inside the religious theocracy. The Bank of Utah is certainly no Wells Fargo. With the Chicago weather finally getting a little nicer, Chris Anderssen wanted to grill some burgers outside for a group of family and friends. When she got to the meat aisle at her local Jewel-Osco supermarket, a case of sticker shock made her change the menu: extra lean ground beef was $4.99 a pound. Associated Press: Election-year memo to Democratic candidates: Don´t talk about the economic recovery. It´s a political loser. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Friday stood by his statement regarding embattled Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, saying on KSNV’s What’s Your Point?, “If anyone thinks by any figment of their imagination that what happened up there last week was just people rallying to somebody that was oppressed, 600 people came in armed. They had practiced. They had maneuvered.” Reid continued, “They knew what they were doing. They set up snipers in strategic locations with sniper rifles. They had assault weapons. They had automatic weapons. And they boasted about the fact that they put women and children, in fact one

Atlanta Braves legend Hank Aaron is reportedly "upset" and "bitter" because he feels that readers -- not the reporter who wrote the story -- took his comments that implied those who opposed President Barack Obama´s policies now wear "neckties and starched shirts" instead of KKK hoods out of context. And the reporter who wrote the story is claiming Aaron should not have to apologize for something he never said because Aaron was talking about CEOs, American society, and corporate America and not referring to a political party. Last week, in a story that appeared the day before Aaron was honored

Amy Kremer, one of the original Tea Party activists who participated in the February 20, 2009 call that launched the movement and played a key role as scheduler of the April 15, 2009 Tax Day Tea Party rallies, resigned on Friday as chairman of Tea Party Express, a position which she has held since the summer of 2009. Tea Party Express, a political action committee known for its national bus tours, was one of the first national organizations to successfully raise money through appeals to Tea Party supporters and activists. The group played a significant role in helping Tea Party

President Obama on Friday signed into law a bill authored by Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz that would bar an Iranian diplomat from entering the United States, but immediately issued a statement saying he won´t enforce it. Obama decided to treat the law as mere advice. "Acts of espionage and terrorism against the United States and our allies are unquestionably problems of the utmost gravity, and I share the Congress´s concern that individuals who have engaged in such activity may use the cover of diplomacy to gain access to our Nation," Obama said in his signing statement.

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. Their answer: The immaculately conceived Clinton child could mean everything. Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations

The first step is admitting… It was a simple question to someone accustomed to much tougher ones: What was her proudest achievement as secretary of state? But for a moment, Hillary Rodham Clinton, appearing recently before a friendly audience at a women’s forum in Manhattan, seemed flustered.(Snip)So…no definitive successes and some clear-cut failures.
