Police: Mableton fatal assault
not racially motivated

Atlanta Journal Constitution, by Christian Boone

Original Article

Posted By:Hermoine, 7/13/2013 8:10:43 AM

The deadly assault of a Mableton man has become a national story, at least online, with several web sites and blogs claiming Joshua Chellew was killed because he was white. Initially reported as a hit-and-run, police now say Chellew died June 30 after an attack by four black teenagers in Cobb County. According to the arrest warrant, the 36-year-old victim was repeatedly punched and kicked by the youths outside a Chevron gas station. Chellew, badly beaten, eventually stumbled onto Mableton Parkway, where he was run over. He died at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Comments:
Just so you all know, the AJC has declared that this was not racially motivated. Move on please.

With police departments, sheriffs, judges, juries, and all the bureaucrats being threatened by our DC mafia, it looks like it´s time for some of the rest of us to get to these incidents before the police and modify the outcome somewhat.

It seems like the only black teenagers who ever commit violent crimes are 18 or 19 years old. I gather most of them are unarmed and on their way home to do their chores and homework. Racial profiling is a terrible thing.

#5,

No. If you are taking in the information and forming rational conclusions then you are not becoming racist. You are becoming informed.

I feel the exact same way. I grew up in the 60´s just outside of Atlanta. I thought integration was cool. Had black friends right off the bat and could not stand the overtly bigoted kids in my neighborhood.

Now, at 56, I have seen enough to know that there is a mindlessly violent contingent among young blacks males that should NOT be excused away or ignored. The facts bear it out and, sadly, black ´leaders´ don´t give a rat´s &ss about it. They only care about the rare instance in which a non-black brings violence against one of their tribe.

I am sick of it and it breaks my heart that the ideals of my youth have been destroyed by the Sharptons and Jacksons of the world.

Don´t apologize for using your eyes, ears and brain.

Reminds me of the Howard Beach case in NYC a couple of decades ago.

In that case, a "mob" of four white guys allegedly chased two black men, one of whom ran onto a highway and was struck and killed by a car.

This made huge headlines in NYC, and the media spin of the day made "Howard Beach" code for "white racists."

Iirc a couple of white men were charged with murder (though they hadn´t killed anyone), and received very long prison terms. There were cries that they were railroaded in the name of racial "justice."

I guess this is a semi-rant. To me, these gangsters are indicative of a greater disease in America and, unfortunately, I don’t see an end in sight. Our first black President is certainly no help.
Rant starts here: This is not going to get better until we face the big picture. This will be controversial... we are witnessing the effects of the botched (my view) end of slavery. Slavery was rightfully abolished in 1865 via the 13th Amendment but with absolutely no plan as to how the freed people would eventually assimilate into society. As far as I know, there was also no plan to repatriate those who wished to return to Africa. Personally, I believe the American Colonization Society of 1816 had the best approach but that’s beside the point. All Americans should be here because they chose to be here. In any case, as a result we have what we have today… inner city enclaves of people living outside of the relative prosperity of the rest of America (and out of white liberal view). This is un-American as very few ever escape this poverty. This semi-apartheid was, and still is, apparently accepted by all… especially by the race hustlers and pandering Democrat politicians. The most difficult part of this for me to come to grips with is that we, as a society, after all these years still have no plan. Horatio Alger is indeed truly dead for millions of Americans. Since there are no do overs, it appears this condition will be with us in perpetuity. /Rant

By the way, did anyone notice that in the pictures of the 4 "gang bangers" that the last two had on blue shirts? Now, why would gang bangers, so committed to their gang, "The Bloods", that they would kill someone who flashed blue at them, have on blue shirts (in what I´m assuming are mug shots)? Yea, yea, little ´ole honky was part of a gang and that´s why they killed him.

The crude translation of Mr Boone´s piece is that the fatal assault was gang motivated and therefore not racially motivated. If he had been wearing red (the Blood´s color) instead of blue (the Crip´s color) he would not have been attacked. Note that two of the four defendants are wearing blue tee shirts in the photos. If they were all released as currently attired, would they be justified in killing each other?

The phone call to police was a plea to help save a family held by smugglers. But when authorities raided the south Harris County home which they believed held the woman and children Wednesday, they found 110 people imprisoned in a packed, rancid "stash house" where smugglers had locked them away pending payment for their freedom. On December 18, 2012, the set of Fox & Friends was both festive and somber. Festive because it was the Christmas season. The three hosts, two men in dark suits flanking a woman in a blue dress, sat on a mustard-colored couch in front of a cheery seasonal backdrop: a lit-up tree, silver-painted twigs, mounds of tinsel, blue and red swatches of fabric, and, here and there, multicolored towers of blown glass with tapering points that made them look surprisingly like minarets. Somber because a terrible thing had happened just four days earlier, in an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.

In a paper in the journal Nature, scientists reported Wednesday that they had retrieved ancient human DNA from a fossil dating back about 400,000 years, shattering the previous record of 100,000 years. The fossil, a thigh bone found in Spain, had previously seemed to many experts to belong to a forerunner of Neanderthals. But its DNA tells a very different story. It most closely resembles DNA from an enigmatic lineage of humans known as Denisovans. Until

Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal

The Clintons had a busy night of celebrations after Chelsea announced she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting a baby. Bill joined “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey at the Revlon Rainforest Fund Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall Thursday, joking of Spacey’s Machiavellian character, “When I was president people accused me of murder all the time, made a show of investigating. Spacey’s president for 15 minutes and he gets away with murder.” Spacey, who sang during the event with Sting, Stephen Stills and James Taylor, also showed off his Johnny Carson impression, taking a swipe at the coverage of Flight

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Friday stood by his statement regarding embattled Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, saying on KSNV’s What’s Your Point?, “If anyone thinks by any figment of their imagination that what happened up there last week was just people rallying to somebody that was oppressed, 600 people came in armed. They had practiced. They had maneuvered.” Reid continued, “They knew what they were doing. They set up snipers in strategic locations with sniper rifles. They had assault weapons. They had automatic weapons. And they boasted about the fact that they put women and children, in fact one

If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like
