John Kerry under fire as Secretary

amid Egypt military coup

Daily Mail [UK], by Jessica Jerreat

As Egypt plunges into crisis John Kerry has been allegedly spotted relaxing at his holiday home in Nantucket for Independence Day. The Secretary of State, who has just returned from a 12-day tour to the Middle East, was spotted near the July 4 festivities in the center of town, and on his yacht. With the Egyptian military ousting President Morsi amid violent protests, many in Nantucket were surprised to see Mr Kerry at his holiday home rather than in Washington. He is staying at the popular Massachusetts island near Cape Cod with his daughters and their husbands, according to the

But this happened so long ago, what difference does it make. The King of Ketchup can care less about anything except his own greedy entitled arrogant pursuit of happiness. Let Egypt burn, feed them cake, go away don´t bother me, I have a very expensive yacht to sail and a dinner reservation for filet mignon and lobster tonight. The nerve of you peons. Go away you bother me. Besides don´t you know I an a Viet Nam veteran, and the Secretary of State?!

Why should he be in DC, no metals to be had there. He does have his priorities and his job isn´t one of them.

John is right where he belongs, doing what he does best. The last thing Americans should want is for him to be sticking his nose into and meddling with matters he does not understand. Let him be. The less time he and people like him spend on public business, the better off the rest of us are. The same applies to the vast majority of elected officials, who almost always wind up making matters worse when they roll up their sleeves in the determination to make them better. Farmers have been subsidized for not growing certain crops; politicians should be subsidized for not concocting and passing legislation. We have enough legislation now to last us for a long time. We do not need any more. How refreshing it would be to elect representatives who, instead of piling on still more legislation, would undertake the thankless process of repealing much that is already on the books, has not accomplished what was intended, and has created new problems and additional expenses that were not foreseen but which march on with lives of their own for lack of political will and courage to abolish them.

Kerry doesn´t have anything to offer at this point because Obama and his henchmen haven´t worked out a scheme to rescue the MB in Egypt.I don´t consider what the military did a coup, they gave power over to a judge,I think. They were simply restoring order.

Kerry´s already a laughing stock to most people so why would anybody be shocked he would take a holiday off. Most deals in congress are struck when they´re up against a holiday or vacation.

Now Kerry has the SOS job title and more photos for his wall and as long as he keeps the Heinz Ketchup queen happy she will keep him rolling in the money and he´s good to go. Can´t be bothered with actually doing a job for America. He´s got big rich guy stuff to attend to. By-the-way, did you know he "served" in Viet Nam and got himself some metals?

I mean seriously, who expected anything out John Kerry? That was supposed to be Susan Rice´s job until she showed herself to be an all too willing stooge.

He´s kind of eye candy for the slot while Rice is in charge of taking orders from Obama.

Talk about the new Larry, Moe and Curly.

I mean come on "folks" remember what the then Sec of State Hillary Clinton shouted "What Difference Does It Make"? That should be the theme chant for this administration. #5, there was a clip of Will Rogers on television recently. He was making a joke about a president, I believe it was Coolidge: Rogers said something to the effect that the president didn´t do anything, but that was just what the American people wanted.

Rogers also said that we could avoid a lot of trouble if every nation tended to its own business.

Lots of wisdom there, and in your post as well.

Deep in the flat and featureless landscape of eastern Ukraine, it is all too possible that the outline of World War III is taking shape. Whipped up by the Kremlin propaganda machine and led by Russian military intelligence, armed men are erecting road blocks, storming police stations and ripping down the country’s flag. They are demolishing not just their own country — bankrupt, ill-run and beleaguered — but also the post-war order that has kept most of Europe and us, here in Britain, safe and free for decades. Vladimir Putin is striking at the heart of the West.

Why are the US authorities trying to extradite and imprison arguably the one man in the world with the skills and influence to bring peace, stability, and prosperity to fractured Ukraine? This week I flew to Vienna, Austria, to find out in a world exclusive interview with Ukraine´s Dmitry Firtash, the billionaire industrialist, philanthropist, and political fixer who is striving desperately to help his country forge an independent future free from the bullying of Russia and the meddling of the West in next month´s scheduled elections. And his biggest obstacle? According to Firtash, it´s Barack Obama.

The Internal Revenue Service is considering a bold move to label perks like free lunch given to workers by companies as taxable. The agency wonders if freebies like haircuts and gym memberships are a way to compensate the highly skilled rather than just a way to jumpstart productivity. After all, argue proponents of such a tax, workers at Silicon Valley firms like Google and Facebook receive free meals from famously fancy in-house eateries every day. Some companies even go a step further by offering freebies like haircuts, car services, and child care. Typical workaday folks can expect to pay for all

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
