The Insiders: Democrats are
trying to suppress the confusion
and hide the cost of ObamaCare

Washington Post, by Ed Rogers

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 7/2/2013 5:48:06 AM

I don’t know if Members of Congress will be hearing about it in town hall gatherings and other meetings back home over the Fourth of July recess, but the rolling thunder of the approaching ObamaCare train can be heard in the distance. Smart Democrats are beginning to get frantic about the need to suppress the confusion and hide the cost of ObamaCare between now and the 2014 midterm elections. We are just three months away from the October 1st enrollment start date and so far, nothing about the ObamaCare implementation process should be politically encouraging for Democrats.

FTA: "It’s pretty simple: most Republicans are either hostile to the entire idea of finding compromises with Democrats or are terrified of other conservatives who hate compromise."

Is it just impossible that maybe they don´t agree with something, really believe that this is wrong and decided to just let them have what they wanted? After all, nothing they liked could get past the Senate or would get vetoed. What would be the point? More wasted time and money, Mr. Rogers?

"One of the worst sins you can commit in politics is to say something that’s different from what people can see for themselves".

If only this were true. Read the comments after the article and you will discover, once again, that Leftists/Liberals/Progressives have their ideology and nothing penetrates their brain dead mentality. They bitterly cling to the ideology that socialized medicine benefits all. They are perfectly willing to destroy the best health care system in the world for their equal justice health care. What fools.

Refuse to participate. You will get forms this year from the IRS demanding that you share your personal health information. Do not respond. The Republicans have failed to stop this. The people must.

This is another governmental boondoggle. A behemoth that will demand more and more of our tax dollars while providing less and less competent services. Bureaucrats will make medical decisions and patients will suffer. Quality of care will necessarily decline and deaths will increase. Ironically, there will still be millions who will still not have health care; a promise broken to them by dear leader. Everyone will suffer except those selfless politicians who exempted themselves along with their "chosen" companies and unions (big donors to the democrat party) from this debacle. Thank you, Democrats. We can always count on you to stick it to the taxpayers.

Who cares so long as 50% of their voters don´t pay taxes, but only absorb tax dollars and free government services? The only problem for Dems on voting day is to guarantee that the 49% who DO pay taxes not be counted at the polls on election day... but they´re working on that.

All the planning for Obamacare consists of how to get around or avoid it -- shorter hours, waivers, less than 50 workers, refusal by the states to set up an exchange, etc. Obama and the democrats do not understand economics or rational behavior -- people will try to minimize their costs. Obama and the democrats, on the contrary, think more spending with nothing to show for it creates jobs.

Here in Fairfield County, Ct. we have a Democratic Congressman named Jim Himes who claimed, in his 2nd and again successful (he looks and sounds good and that is all the voters apparently ask of him) run that he read every piece of legislation before he signed it---and that would include Obamacare, 1,000 pages and delivered to be examined the night before the vote. Now it is apparent that it is an unmitigated disaster, but I am sure Himes will weasel his way out--despite his clear declaration. As long as we have voters, and here they are largely educated and reasonably affluent, who will vote a man like this in on pure perception, we are lost as a country. Of course, the fact that the Republicans ran another idiot doesn´t help.

Yes, not one Republican voted for the bill, and the dems had to find fraudulent votes in the closet and trunks of cars to get Al Franken elected. Then they used every evil means to push their agenda to get this horrid 0bamacare passed. 0bama lied when he said everyone could keep their insurance; premiums are doubling in price, our whole healthcare system is going down the drain. And illegals will get healthcare under 0bamacare. All the democrats lied, and they have rammed this wretched bill down the throats of all Americans. Very sad indeed.

If Obamacare is not dissolved by those in charge within the next year, it will collapse under its own weight anyway. We conservative taxpayers piling on and booby trapping the system at every opportunity will kill it that much faster because we are the critical link in the chain. They would have to set tax rates at the 50% level just to support this one boondoggle, which will destroy the economy totally. Who is going to pay for the rest of obama´s pipe dreams, China? Cut off the cooperation and the money and we cut obamacare´s throat.

Five years ago this week, CNBC commentator Rick Santelli delivered an on-air tirade from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in which he talked about organizing a tea party to protest government bailouts and stimulus spending. Friends from decades ago are at the center of the emotionally-charged, legal battle over same-sex marriage in Texas. But they’re on opposite sides. Plano attorney Mark Phariss is one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit that led to a federal judge ruling Wednesday that Texas´ ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. Greg Abbott, the state attorney general and candidate for governor, is defending the ban and has filed notice he’ll appeal the judge’s ruling. Phariss and Abbott were law school classmates. They know each other. Phariss tells KERA they were good friends.

In the past 48 hours, the Crimean peninsula has become a flashpoint in the wider struggle between Russia and the West over the future fate of Ukraine. That is no coincidence. Its history is scarred by invasion and war – and it has resulted in a population that is deeply divided on the question of nationhood. No Western politician seems to have taken this on board. Crimea’s people are 58 per cent ethnic Russians, 24 per cent Ukrainians, and 12 per cent Tatars, descendants of the Turkic people that ruled the peninsula until the Russian Tsars annexed it in 1783. Many Republicans—and a handful of independent commentators like George Washington University professor Jonathan Turley—have been highly critical of President Obama’s executive branch overreach. The president has arbitrarily delayed, deferred, or ignored provisions of numerous laws, none more so than his signature Obamacare legislation. There is indeed much to criticize; no other president in recent times has usurped congressional lawmaking powers to the extent Barack Obama has. Administration spokesmen have defended these actions by pointing out that other presidents have also issued executive orders. But President Obama’s actions are less like executive orders in the usual sense of the term than

The federal government spent more on broken state-run exchanges than it did on its own troubled system. Of the 14 states, plus the District of Columbia, that established their own health insurance coverage under Obamacare, seven remain dysfunctional, disabled, or severely underperforming. No one doubted the GOP would come close or better than close to a Senate takeover in November. But every day, the map looks more favorable for the Republicans. The 71-year-old argued that he was happy to do the less glamorous tasks- like handling the at-times petty Senate fights and calming the fears of the infamously paranoid President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai- but only at a price. ‘When the president asked me what portfolio did I want, I said, “Base it on what you want of me to help you

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is being hammered by Republican lawmakers after he claimed on the Senate floor that all the ObamaCare "horror stories" being circulated are untrue. Reid tried to clarify his remarks late Wednesday by saying he was only referring to the “vast majority” of stories featured in ads funded by Americans for Prosperity, a conservative group, and not the complaints of everyday Americans. However, he added fuel to the fire by continuing to slam the group’s backers, the Koch brothers, calling them “un-American.” Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips, in response, said Reid had effectively

Apparently it´s not the price of the groceries, but the nutrition labels on food packages that make grocery shopping such a difficult and trying experience for the moms of America. In pitching new, improved nutrition labels at the White House on Thursday, first lady Michelle Obama tried to identify with women who do the grocery shopping for their families. The “greatest buried treasure ever unearthed in the United States” is about to be hit by the tax collector. According to Kathleen Pender, a columnist at the San Francisco Chronicle, the couple who found in cans buried on their property more than 1,400 rare gold coins worth more than $10 million will probably owe close to half of that sum in federal and state income tax, whether or not they sell the coins. She quoted a 2013 tax guide in which the IRS stated: “If you find and keep property that does not belong to you that has been lost or

This is not ‘Rocky IV´, believe me. We don´t see it that way,” Kerry said in a reference to the popular film in which Sylvester Stallone’s character is pitted against a Soviet bully. Appearing on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Kerry urged Putin to be “very careful” as he plots

A chilling video of Maryland police silencing an innocent student who was recording the arrests of two other people has civil libertarians outraged. The arrests were made at night on the streets of Towson, Maryland. A University of Maryland-Baltimore County student who witnessed the arrests decided to record them using his cell phone. The student, 21-year-old Sergio Gutierrez, was soon approached by officers who objected — wrongly — to his actions. Gutierrez repeatedly told the officers that he knew he had the right to film them, but the cops were prepared to use any excuse to shut him down. First they told
