Obama: ´If Catholics Have
Their Schools and Buildings
and Protestants Have Theirs ...
That Encourages Division´

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

WHERE does he come up with all this crapola? As a Protestant, I went to a Catholic girl´s school after attending public schools; they could have cared less what I was, treated me great, and I graduated with the utmost respect for the Catholic religion.

I guess Obama thinks we´re all so dumb we can´t make decisions for ourselves, really just a bunch of sheep...

Obama needs to start with the Sidwell Friends school for precious children of the rich and powerful. Next he needs to close all the Muslim schools in the Washington, D.C. area.

We can address the other private schools after CAIR and their benefactor, the Muslim Brotherhood, has turned against him.

I went to a Catholic grade school. You do not have to be a Catholic to attend. It does help because you have to take Religion
class. I ended up attending a Presby (aka protestant) university. You did not have to be a Presby, but it helped because you do have to take Religion class. Agree with low info president comment.

I believe that the very expensive private school in Washington, DC where the two Obama girls attend school, Sidwell Friends, is run by the Quakers, should they also pack it in?

If the Catholic schools across America were forced to close through some Obama mandate, the school district taxes where those Catholic schools are located would immediately double or triple.

The dude knows it all and has advice to spare, so it is natural for him to tell the Irish how to think and what to do about their education and religion. How did a mere mortal become so wise? He could be an extra-terrestrial, a messiah from a galaxy far, far away sent to explain to troubled earthlings how to get along and save their endangered planet. That could explain his undistinguished life -what we know of it- prior to the presidency. There is absolutely nothing on record about Barack Obama before he became president to indicate that he knows everything there is to know, not only about America but about the entire world. Yet he obviously does know everything and sees it as his mission to bring light into the darkness. Some say he is a Marxist, others that he is a Muslim, others that he is a sophomoric fool. These are not mutually exclusive possibilities, of course. But singly or in combination they cannot explain the most remarkable thing, which is that, despite any background or accomplishments or indications of special ability, Barack Obama knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING. The possibility that he is in fact a superhuman space alien deposited on earth by an advanced civilization could explain this. It is a convenient hypothesis, for it does not necessarily assume those who sent him mean us well. He could be an intergalactic Pied Piper sent to lure us to our destruction as easily as a benevolent messiah and messenger of Truth.

Dear Won are you aware Catholics have been educating the populace for nearly 2000 years. Do you really think you a minor roadblock can destroy them so easily?
Do you understand over 250 Chicago schools housing mostly black kids are closing because the Ayers system is a total failure? 850 teachers received pink slips in Chi last week.
If you kids were there they would be out of luck just like all the other kids lot in the Annenberg theory of education.

#46, you´re correct about Obama--he is a gift to the world. /s He is well-known to have said that he knows more than anyone on his staff, that he´s good at being president, and that he´s the smartest person in the room. I hope he never meets the Pope, because he´s sure to try to instruct him on Catholicism, and I don´t know if there are enough lightning rods on St. Peter´s to handle it.

For more than 30 years, Hustler’s flamboyant publisher Larry Flynt has continued to send the monthly magazine to every member of Congress. Since 1983, Hustler has sent the porno mags in plain manila envelopes to every Congressional office as Mr. Flynt’s unique way of petitioning the government, National Journal reported. He then openly criticized GOP lawmakers for trying to repeal his law. “They still can’t bring themselves to admit that the Affordable Care Act is working,” he said. Holder said his agency is “exploring” technology to make guns “more safe.” “By making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or

An army of NYPD cops on Thursday evicted a homeless man from his Manhattan Bridge “home” — which was complete with a gas heater, hot sauce and beer. A dozen officers from both the 5th and 84th Precincts plus four Emergency Service Unit cops launched the raid about 9:50 a.m. A DOT worker on a ladder first used bolt cutters to remove a red bicycle lock on the wooden structure — which turned out to be fully insulated with Styrofoam and a large tarp. “Police department! When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Book: White House scrambled

Vice President Joe Biden really did get ahead of President Barack Obama on accepting gay marriage in 2012 — and the White House really wasn’t happy about it, despite the two leaders’ many attempts to claim otherwise. That’s the story laid out in Jo Becker’s new book, “Forcing the Spring,” which documents the past few years of successful efforts to expand the legalization of gay marriage, according to an advance copy obtained by POLITICO. Speculation that Biden’s comments on “Meet the Press” in May 2012 were meant as a trial balloon, Becker writes, came from people “not privy to the

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

President Obama said Wednesday that Russia realizes the U.S. military is “significantly superior” to its own and does not want war with the United States. Asked in an interview with CBS News about a Russian fighter buzzing a U.S. Navy ship in the Black Sea on Saturday, Obama said, “They’re not interested in any kind of military confrontation with us, understanding that our conventional forces are significantly superior to the Russians.” Obama accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being behind uprisings in Ukraine in which government buildings have been taken over. Ukraine’s government has launched an operation against the separatists

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said. Davis, of Fort Worth, will undergo the outpatient surgery at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. Dr. Thomas Ellis will perform the
