IRS manager: White House
not involved in reviews

Associated Press, by Philip Elliott

Washington - A self-described conservative Republican who is a manager in the Internal Revenue Service office that targeted tea party groups told investigators that he, not the White House, set the review in motion, the top Democrat on the House watchdog committee said Sunday. Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., released a partial transcript of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform interview with the unnamed manager in the IRS' Cincinnati office. In it, the employee said the extra scrutiny for tea party groups' tax exempt status was an effort to be consistent

This is earth-shattering news. Whoda thunk that a "conservative Republican" could get a job with the IRS?

Please post properly as shown. LCom Staff.

Useful stooges, all of them.

Amazing how Obama and the WH know nothing, hear nothing, see nothing and DO nothing according to their perception of truth?
We have a rogue government and it is out of control.
Wait until the IRS denies medical care to the families registered as Republican, Libertarian or Independent. Oh, they´ll find a way..look what they did to groups just trying to do normal applications for tax exempt organizations that were conservative. The BRAZEN, intrusive, insulting questions asked prove that the IRS thinks this is a big joke. Anyone who sent a letter and questionnaire to one of those groups needs jailtime.

This regime is CORRUPT. Period. As such, none of their party members, appointees, czars, judges, IRS, EPA, can be assumed to be untainted from this poisoned tree. And, as such, considering the previous history of veracity from the Oval Office occupant, no statement issued by the regime can simply be assumed to be true, no matter how artfully delivered.
The IRS needs to be disconnected from any healthcare involvement now that they have definitively shown that they can NEVER be trusted. And a flat/fair tax will reduce their pernicious influence on America. If Americans continue with this horrendous status quo, we will lose our freedom. Only if your representatives are TOLD what we want will they have the cojones to even try to excise the cancer growing ever-larger by the day in WASHINGTON.

First of all, Cummings is in too big a hurry to say "this is it" and shut down the investigations. That is a red flag.

Secondly, even if this person referred one case on to DC, the BOLO that ensued and the list of questions to be asked, all of the obstructive tactics, had to have been engineered much higher up.

He could be right. He sent on one case. But the rest is still out there, and it has not been solved.

What about the offices in the other cities, like Austin,Tx ? Washington, DC., and so forth. Do they also have professed Conservative Republicans who just wanted to do things the right way so they contacted the WH for directions. No matter what, these profiled groups had their exemptions delayed for months to years, and that has nothing to do with "batching" applications, and everything to do with voter suppression.

All these "community organizers" hired into the government are making up the 1984 red army embedded into the economic and governmental structure of our country. If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives

Global sea levels have risen by 8 inches (20cm) since 1880 and scientists predict they could rise up to 3ft (98cm) by 2100. But despite the UN’s recent threats of war, famine and extreme weather, such a dramatically different world caused by sea level rise can be hard to imagine. To help picture the future, Martin Vargic, an amateur graphic designer from Slovakia, has created a map depicting the planet with sea levels around 260ft (79m) higher than they are today. He imagines what Earth would look like if the ice sheets surrounding the North and South poles melted, releasing

It may not be tomorrow, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says "something will happen" to force a Nevada rancher to obey a court order to stop grazing his cattle on federal land and pay his grazing fees. "It´s obvious that you can´t just walk away from this," Reid said in an April 18 interview with a Nevada´s KSNV-TV News 3 program “What’s Your Point?” "You can´t have a law that is -- we´re a nation of laws, not of men and women," he said. Thirty-eight Republican lawmakers, including such unlikely bedfellows as John McCain of Arizona and Ted Cruz of Texas, have joined to support a lawsuit challenging the legality of the Affordable Care Act and accusing the president of repeatedly ignoring the law he signed for political reasons. The lawmakers have signed onto a legal brief in support of a lawsuit filed by Sen. Ron Johnson, the Wisconsin Republican who is asking a federal court to overturn Obamacare’s special treatment for members of Congress and their staffs. “The unlawful executive action at issue in this case is not an isolated incident,” the brief

Today is Earth Day. Fox News’ The Five opened its show with a nearly 15 minute segment titled “Earth Day Hysteria.” The goal appeared to be to prove that scientists’ warnings about climate change are overblown and should be ignored if not outright mocked and co-host Eric Bolling was the ringleader of the effort. But he found an adversary in Bob Beckel, who challenged the status quo by presenting actual data on the rise of CO2 levels from NASA, of all places. But before Beckel got to his chart, Bolling took some time to “praise” President Barack Obama for what
