For several months, the Benghazi scandal lay dormant, apparently forgiven and forgotten. Then, inexplicably, it reared its ugly head when Congressmen Ron Johnson and Jason Chaffetz smelled Obama´s blood in the water. After feigning affliction with the flu, and then ostensibly tumbling down a carpeted stairwell resulting in an unconfirmed concussion, then-Secretary of State Clinton was finally forced to testify before Congress. Clinton´s desperate attempt to put the Benghazi scandal to rest with her now-infamous impassioned declaration -- "What difference, at this point, does it make?"
Add to the list National Security Directive #20 where he gives himself and various agencies the right to conduct cyber warfare here and abroad when deemed in the vital interests of the U.S. Article and link in The Guardian are still on line. However, the story was removed from Drudge shortly after it appeared.
Yes, and consider the AP scandal was totally safe for the president, the press might complain but they´re still in the tank. The IRS scandal was deliberately leaked, admittedly so by the leaker, a top IRS official. The government spying scandal was leaked to a British Newspaper, try calling them before a congressional committee. The diversions are painful to the president but not deadly. Benghazi, if true, is and should be. The congress must not give up on Benghazi.
Maybe. Maybe not. It´s all conjecture. Another possibility is that all of the subsequent scandal revelations are the result of a breech in the "mainstream" media dam that has been protecting the regime. More and more whistleblowers are coming forward and, for a change, their claims are being reported.
Benghazi has always in my mind been the scandal of all scandals. This was pure murder, not neglegance or dereliction of duty, it was murder. hussein and his minions including Bite Me, Holder, and PIAPS and all their cohorts need to be in prison.
... and don´t forget both the alleged perp in Boston and his friend in Florida were both killed dead by our law enforcement people ... more in the fabled "Dead Men Tell no Tales" series brought to you those we elected to serve us and their collaborators in the media.
Hillary´s flu and fall down stairs was a little too ´convenient ´ at the time. If she fell it was probably due to drinking too much. Everytime we see pictures of her, she is drinking and partying. Didn´t have time to do her real job. Didn´t have time for those underlings who were trying to tell her something. Yes, it makes a difference especially if she wants to run for President again. She missed her 3 AM call big time.
Hillary´s appearance was al optics....as we´re the fake glasses we never saw again...Itvwas to Femind the world "poor Hillary was sick..and those big bad republicans were beating up a sick woman"....hence the glasses
More Kabuki...Believe nothing they say...Nothing they want you to see....and when they distract and guide your attention...Get worried and look around. They want us paying attention to the scandals....as they release info the EPa´s political bias in who was required to pay fees rises to the top...
So what are they doing to collapse our dollar, turn off our energy and get us into a war to destroy everything ...... The government pimps who allow this to continue are just as treasonous.
Interesting theory, but I do agree with #4 and #8. That said, Benghazi is a huge story because NO information from ANY source is forthcoming. One must conclude that this is the single issue the Admin. wants off the radar.
It´s what we don´t see behind this Admin´s curtain that really bothers me. I believe voter fraud on a massive scale got Obama elected the first and second time and will get Democrats the House unless it´s stopped.
Republicans have got to get some precautions in place yesterday so that another fraudulent election won´t get us all behind bars or dead when the entire gov´t is run by Democrats, their death panels, their crushing of the Constitution and their utter disregard for the Rule of Law.
We are almost there. This midterm will tell the tale. Meanwhile, if you´re productive and younger than 50 and can afford it, plan a move to New Zealand.
Interesting article. I´m relying on memory here, but I believe the two Navy Seals were not supposed to go to the consulate when the attack began. In addition, there were 30 CIA operatives in the area, which seems high to me, but I don´t know exactly what they were doing in Libya. Stevens had secretly entered Libya during the NATO attacks, and was made ambassador after we bombed the snot out of that country. It could be that there was a spy deal going on, having to do with arms supplies. In the end, all that we know is that Hillary was incompetent, disengaged from her job, spent all of her time touring the world, with visits to lots of countries, lots of attention from various heads of state, no master plan on foreign policy, unlike every previous administration. Barack was also disengaged, but that is the way he rolls. I would like to know who told the special forces team in Tripoli not to go to Benghazi. I also would like to know why the general in charge of the Africa command was kicked out of the Army, not long after the Benghazi attacks.
The phone scandal DWARFS Benghazi. Even if the State Dept got down on their knees and begged for forgiveness for selling STINGER MISSILES to the Al Queda forces in Libya (which is what Benghazi is really all about) - it would STILL NOT APPROACH wholesale phone surviellence of American citizens.
"Desperate to change the subject, the nefarious regime serially released a spate of "gates" intended to inundate the news media outlets in order to provide a smokescreen obscuring the lethal Benghazi questions."
Yes! Thank you. It is all a pure "Look! Squirrel!" operation.
"Why was the order to "stand down" given to ready and able military rescue forces?"
The only thing I would add would be the next step: AND... BY...WHOM?
I submit that tracing that order up the chain of command to its point of origin is one of the things they desperately do NOT want anyone to do, especially a Republican led congressional investigating committee with subpoena power over career military types who are just itching to be required to tell the truth under oath. An honorable man forced to do a dishonorable thing is a ticking truth bomb.
I am not clear on the exact series of events, but didn´t Obama have special meetings with some of the media heads? And a "secret" meeting with editors of Wash.Post, NYT,Time´s Joe Klein,...just after the AP scandal? The "outrage" from the big guns of the liberal press (and a few democrat politicians) occurred afterwards, and just seems a bit too coordinated or canned or rehearsed, or something, to pass the smell test.
Reading the links in the article is just unbelievable. It´s stunning that Americans who try to find out the past educational records of our standing President are immediately assaulted by the FBI and instantly prosecuted for criminal intent. No previous President has been so severely protected for his secret past. Why? This should be front page news. But, . . . .
Benghazi was gun running to Al Queta, by the president, to overthrow the Syrian regime in favor of the muslim jihad.
America is no longer the prize; it is the resource to exploit in the elevation of the elite over the world.
Obama, Clinton, Soros, all want the WORLD. As the rich nobodies here are niggerized, their money is given away to the temporarily useful, stupid, and dependent voters to secure all power for the elite.
When you open the door between a dark room and a room with light, which floods into the other? The tide really is turning if you shine that light in those little nooks and crannies. The NWO monster is cranking up the fear porn to keep us all off balance because they know their days are numbered. We’re truly unstoppable if we’re immune to their fear machine.
Look past the corporate logo and take heed of this message.
so much scandal and so few answers. I am still waiting for someone to tell the family of Brian Terry and all the innocents in Mexico killed with guns from Fast and Furious that they matter . No answers for them or for any of these other scandals. Our constitution and freedoms are more threatened now than at any time in history and it´s not from without it from within.
No, it´s just that this sham government had too many balls in the air and the next one they threw up caused them all to drop. There are more, bet on it. I would suspect that obama has not been sleeping well lately.
Supposedly Bubba agreed to endorse Obama if in turn Obama would agree to endorse the PIAPS in 2016. But then, eegads, Benghazi happened. Could it be that after the alleged concussion-causing tumble down a carpeted stairway and 2 months of curious rehab the polling data and focus groups still are looking pretty grim for Hillary? What to do, what to do. Bill promised that THIS time his promises are for real. Benghazi is definitely where they´re ALL vulnerable as far as 2016. But Snowden could be primo when it comes to the mid terms.
I´ve always thought it too convient that Lois Lerner came forward with her bombshell.
Why would she do that at that moment? Made no sense. And as each scandal has come out, Bengazi mentioned less. Obama is taking the hits to protect Hillary now. Doesn´t make sense why he would do that, we know there is no love lost in those two camps.
Or maybe they let Benghazi bubble up, and then all the rest, to take our eyes off amnesty -- because once the Democrats get 12-20 million new voters, to be joined shortly by their extended families, absolutely NOTHING else matters. Scandals and corruption will abound and no one will be able to do a thing about it.
Last week, the media went apoplectic after a 60 Minutes report on the terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, turned out to be mistaken. Much of the report was based on the testimony of one Dylan Davies, a security contractor who said that he had climbed over the wall of the consulate in Benghazi and seen the body of Ambassador Chris Stevens. It turned out that Davies was lying, and 60 Minutes was fooled. Media Matters, which uncovered the lie, promptly declared victory in its war on behalf of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with founder David
Jeff Fager, the CBS News chairman and executive producer of “60 Minutes,” has said that his team spent “more than a year” reporting the story about the attack on Benghazi that aired on Oct. 27.Yet it wasn’t until Thursday night that they learned first-hand what their principal source, a security contractor named Dylan Davies, had told the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the attack. In conversations with POLITICO, sources familiar with “60 Minutes” reporting said that it was only on Thursday night that “60 Minutes” obtained the official account of events that Davies had given to FBI officials after the
McAllen, Tex. — They were already running late for a doctor’s appointment, but first the Salas family hurried into their kitchen for another breakfast paid for by the federal government. The 4-year-old grabbed a bag of cheddar-flavored potato chips and a granola bar. The 9-year-old filled a bowl with sugary cereal and then gulped down chocolate milk. Their mother, Blanca, arrived at the refrigerator and reached into the drawer where she stored the insulin needed to treat her diabetes. She filled a needle with fluid and injected it into her stomach with a practiced jab. “Let’s go,” she told the children,
The man who originally tried to broker the sale of the Rob Ford crack tape finally revealed his identity Friday evening in a pair of explosive interviews that offered more details in the never-ending, increasingly ludicrous Canadian scandal. Mohamed Farah, a 33-year-old community organizer in the Toronto neighbourhood where police arrested multiple gang members and seized guns, drugs, money and hard drives that led to the crack tape´s retrieval, spoke publicly for the first time about his experience trying to sell the crack video to Gawker and the Toronto Star in interviews with City News and the CBC. Farah said he was
NBC´s Chuck Todd scored a huge interview with President Obama Thursday and opened things by immediately drilling down on the president´s relentlessly repeated lie that under ObamaCare you can keep your current insurance plan if you like it. The full interview is even more impressive than the clips that have been going around. Even after he elicits a "sorry" out of Obama, Todd keeps after the point for almost ten minutes. Ultimately, though, Todd came away with the impression that Obama doesn´t believe he lied. And Todd is probably right, which is a little unnerving. During his own interview on the Hugh
For all the tough talk on the international front the United States has quietly been easing some of the financial restrictions on Iran, a new investigation reveals. But, as one source suggested, the talks may have backfired — and now the White House is feeling vulnerable. The White House actually softened sanctions right after the new president took office, The Daily Beast reported. That’s quite a shift from what’s been making the rounds of global media in recent months — that the United States has been talking tough about the need for Iran to give up its nuclear weapons development dreams
Something tells me the president is not a regular reader of the New Criterion. But perhaps, in between his regular servings of Jonathan Chait, Ezra Klein, and Josh Barro, he snuck a peek at the October issue of the conservative arts magazine. He might have scanned an essay by Harvey Mansfield, “Machiavelli’s Enterprise,” on the legacy of the first modern philosopher. It’s a legacy that very much includes the president. In the essay, Mansfield discusses the Machiavellian discovery of “effectual truth.” What is effectual truth? In his 2007 Jefferson lecture, Mansfield put it this way: For Machiavelli, the effectual truth is
President Barack Obama heard an earful at the White House Wednesday from Senate Democrats running for re-election next year who are fuming about the Affordable Care Act’s rocky rollout.During a two-hour meeting that was not on the president’s public schedule, the president met with 15 Senate Democrats facing the voters next year, as well as Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Michael Bennet, D-Colo. Sen. Mark Begich of Alaska issued a release after the meeting torching the administration. “It is simply unacceptable for Alaskans to bear the brunt of the Administration’s mismanagement of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and
More than a dozen Democratic senators up for re-election in 2014 met with President Barack Obama on Wednesday to complain about the rollout of the new federal health law, the newest sign that Democrats are worried that problems with the law will be an issue in next year’s races. The list of attendees was a who’s who of Democrats facing elections next year. Of the 15 Senate Democrats who will run for re-election in 2014, 14 were at the White House, including Sens. Mark Pryor of Arkansas and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. Also joining was Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado, the
Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Florida congresswoman and chair of the Democratic National Committee, told viewers of MSNBC Tuesday that Americans were not "myzled" by President Obama when it came to being able to keep their health plans under Obamacare. "At the end of the day, Americans were not only not myzled [sic] by the president, the overwhelming majority of Americans are already insured," Wasserman Schultz said, apparently mispronouncing the word "misled." Watch the video below:
How the heck did that happen? Most public polls leading up to Election Day had Democrat Terry McAuliffe coasting to victory, some by double digits, in the Virginia governor’s race. Instead he squeaked by, beating Republican Ken Cuccinelli by less than 3 percentage points. The much-closer-than-expected outcome blunts the narrative that this was a clean win for Democrats going into 2014 and guarantees an intense blame game among Republicans about what might have put Cuccinelli over the top.
Washington - President Obama continues to alter his signature promise in selling the Affordable Care Act back in 2009 and 2010. "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan," he said back then. But that simple pledge has had to change as the Affordable Care Act has been implemented and a small percentage of Americans, albeit millions of people, have received cancellation notices from their insurance companies. And for the second time in two weeks, he´s tweaked the line. Debunking 4 Obamacare myths: Both sides get it wrong. When President Obama spoke Monday night to a group of supporters, he
It’s sad that Maverick’s taking this idea just seriously enough that he’d think to mention it to another human being. He’s 77 years old, ran a famously chaotic campaign in 2008 before getting crushed on election day, and would face a much stronger, younger field in the primaries than he did last time. That he forced me just now to devote even half a second of thought to how he might stack up against the 2016 contenders is frankly embarrassing, and something for which I’ll never forgive him. It’s like watching a 60-year-old pitcher announce that he’s thinking of coming
Washington: A woman, who claims to have been a classmate of Barack Obama, said that the president was gay and used cocaine in school. In a bizarre interview, Mia Marie Pope told right-wing preacher James David Manning that she believes Obama was not only active within the gay community, but also a heavy cocaine user during his years in Hawaii. Pope said that Obama always portrayed himself as a foreign student, adding that girls were never anything that he ever was interested in, but he would get along with older white gay men. She added that Obama at that time was also
James O’Keefe, the guerrilla videographer who helped bring down ACORN (the “community organizing” group that Barack Obama worked for as a lawyer and trainer) and got NPR’s president fired, is back. This time, his undercover investigators focused on Obamacare’s “navigators,” the nearly 50,000 people who, in the words of the Department of Health and Human Services, “will serve as an in-person resource for Americans who want additional assistance in shopping for and enrolling in plans” on the Obamacare exchanges (at least when they’re finally working). The total value of grants doled out for nonprofits and community organizations to hire navigators
Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) will ask two oversight agencies for a full-blown investigation into the problems surrounding the ObamaCare launch. Hagan, who is up for reelection in 2014, is asking her Senate colleagues to co-sign a letter asking two agencies to conduct “a complete, thorough investigation to determine the causes of the design and implementation failures of HealthCare.Gov.” “These problems are simply unacceptable, and Americans deserve answers and swift solutions,” Hagan writes in a letter obtained by The Hill. “Taxpayers are owed a full and transparent accounting of how the vendors contracted to build the site failed to launch it
WASHINGTON — When President Obama travels abroad, his staff packs briefing books, gifts for foreign leaders and something more closely associated with camping than diplomacy: a tent. Even when Mr. Obama travels to allied nations, aides quickly set up the security tent — which has opaque sides and noise-making devices inside — in a room near his hotel suite. When the president needs to read a classified document or have a sensitive conversation, he ducks into the tent to shield himself from secret video cameras and listening devices. American security officials demand that their bosses — not just the president, but
Fourteen years ago, I was asked to be a keynote speaker at the Richmond County Women´s Republican Club annual dinner. I had started my column at the Staten Island Advance the year before, and as an Hispanic who had grown up in Spanish Harlem, many Republicans were surprised that I was a conservative. It was my first speaking engagement and one I accepted reluctantly, but I felt that it was an opportunity to offer some advice to the Republican Party about winning over the voters in the barrios and the inner city.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) said he has no plans to run again for the White House. Speaking to the Arizona Republic, McCain said he had received "a spate of e-mails and letters and phone calls" urging him to run since the government shutdown. But he said he´s focused on whether to run for a sixth term in the Senate, not for president. “As you know, I’m seriously thinking about running for re-election to the Senate," he said. "But I think, in the words of the late Morris K. Udall, as far as my presidential ambitions are concerned, ‘The people have spoken —
Swampscott, Massachusetts Selectman Barry Greenfield is pushing a measure to give police the authority to conduct home searches to check proper storage of firearms. Greenfield said "state law requires Massachusetts gun owners to keep their firearms locked away or rendered inoperable." There are "600 registered gun owners in [Swampscott]," and the selectman wants police to be able to drop in unannounced, enter the homes of each gun owner, and verify compliance. According to the Swampscott Patch, Greenfield has spoken with Swampscott Police Chief Ron Madigan about this issue, and has spoken with other selectmen. At least one of the selectmen-
Veterans, we think about you all the time. Sometimes we fail to tell you. Today, on Veteran’s Day, we put our admiration for you into words. World War II, Korean and Vietnam Veterans. We will start with you. You fought for our freedom. You watched your closest friends fall by your side and you were heartbroken, knowing it could have been you. You shoulder the burden of painful and haunting memories. Many of you have physical wounds; you sacrificed your warrior’s body for us, people you never met. You use a cane or a wheelchair now because of your choice
Perhaps the most entertaining facet of watching the scales fall from liberal´s eyes about Obamacare is the absolute shock they experience when their liberal friends chastise them for complaining. Lori Gottlieb, a contributing editor for The Atlantic and a psychotherapist, writes in the NY Times about her conversation with Blue Anthem insurance and the reaction by her "friends" on Facebook when she posted about it: THE Anthem Blue Cross representative who answered my call told me that there was a silver lining in the cancellation of my individual P.P.O. policy and the $5,400 annual increase that I would have to
Bernard Goldberg joined Bill O’Reilly Monday night to address what he believes is a “potentially fatal split” in the Republican party’s immediate future. He said that if the tea party keeps rejecting anyone who isn’t basically Ted Cruz for the 2016 presidential nomination, the party’s going to be in some big trouble and invite in a strong Democratic victory. O’Reilly framed the fight as a “classic moderate Republican versus hard-right Republican” feud, and Goldberg rejected the “ideological rigidity” of people who will sit on their hands and refuse to vote for a Republican presidential nominee if they aren’t sufficiently conservative
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Before Ted Cruz burst on the national political scene, there was Sarah Palin. After Ted Cruz, is there still much of a place for her? Sarah Palin, 49, is the original hero of the Tea Party, rallier of the right wing and basher of Barack Obama. But it has been five years since she gained a place in the history books as John McCain´s surprise choice of running mate on the Republican presidential ticket. Four years since she unexpectedly resigned as Alaska governor before her term was up. Two years since she bypassed the chance to jump into the
