The Obama Avalanche
American Thinker, by Cindy Simpson

Original Article

Like the grains of sand in the "creepy" sculpture of Obama at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that were blown away by bad weather, it is only a matter of time until the stones constituting the protective wall around the Obama narrative begin to tumble. After all, a single pebble can start an avalanche. The foundation of the Obama image, already weakened by broken promises and a floundering economy, has been seriously rocked by some explosive revelations in the Benghazi and IRS investigations. Completing a trifecta of "serial shocks," real tremors began when

Fox News and the rest of the pro-American media better start referring to the Obama administration as a Dictatorship. And give comparative examples from Nazi Germany, Red China and the USSR.

Even LoFos may catch on.

"Obama is a radical communist, and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it´s true"......."He is going to destroy this country, and we are either going to stop him or The United States of America is going to cease to exist."

#3 The beginning of the end??? for America.....not Barak. Why do you think these snooping scandals broke??? The eyes and ears are off the real scandals like Benghazi and fast and furious and IRS. These are where the true crimes lay under the surface and now all media is transfixed with the Patriot Act under George Bush. This is going EXACTLY as planned for the demonic one in the whitehouse. God is our only hope. America should really turn back to Him through better morals, marriage, family life, etc.

O & Co. are waiting for the low information citizens to forget about all of this -- if they even know about it.

Now that a growing windstorm begins to blow the Obama-sculpture sand into the public eye, Obama peers down his nose and out of his royal box, on the lookout for a fall guy or two, as he reads innocently, à la Sgt. Schultz, from the teleprompter: "I know nothing."

To believe that the President of the United States "read about it in the newspaper, like the rest of you" is to engage in deliberate blindness. He knows what he wants done and is relying on others to do it. He wants, and so far has gotten, culpable deniability. It won´t last. This article puts me in mind of this poem by Shelley:

OZYMANDIUS

I met a traveler from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal these words appear:
“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Before the latest round of implosions, if things ever did start to get a little shaky on the dais, Obama would often animate a straw man or offer a false choice

Here is the "false choice" O presents ignorant citizens with. He said that you can´t have 100% security and still have 100 privacy." No one ever suggested that either choice was feasible, yet he speaks those words as though we unsophisticated bitter clingers actually demanded either choice.

Everyone knows that 100% security isn´t possible. We also know that 100% privacy isn´t possible, so O gives America a false choice. That´s knowingly dishonest.

The choice is between strong security and reasonable expectation of privacy. 100% anything doesn´t exist. I deeply resent the disdain he harbors for the intelligence of most Americans. Hell, even some Leftists are now coming around -- they´re not totally stupid.

Clearly for Amerika, belief in the Creator has been replaced by belief and obeyance to the State. Indeed, history does repeat itself. Call it for what it is now - fascism, Amerikan style. My Austrian relatives in Vienna are just shaking their heads how Amerikans are being led like sheep to the slaughter same as the Austrians were back in the 1930s when Nazi Germany reared its ugly head. While I don´t expect 6 million of us to be exterminated by our own government as was the case 80 years ago (but, why is our government now hoarding ammunition??just asking), tyranny can take on many forms. Somebody quick figure out a way to wake up the sheep and the msm. The Obama avalanche is a spectacle to be sure, but don´t be so sure this avalanche of scandals will slow down Obie´s team one inch.

As Rush said yesterday there is not one document showing Hitler ordering the Holocaust, Obama´s fingerprints won´t be found on the IRS and NSA scandals, but Obama knew if he appointed like minded henchmen the job would get done. Now with Presidential pardons hanging over their heads the question is who will say "I was just following orders."

Time to build a prison annex at GITMO for Obama Henchmen.

How much of a correlation is there between the NSA scandal and the IRS scandal? It´s the first thing that came to mind upon hearing of them both basically within the same time frame.

Is there a symbiotic relationship between the two agencies? If Obama and his thugs can use the IRS to intimidate and thwart the activities of those who do not agree with him or his policies and goals, then it seems logical they would appreciate the NSA´s data and even exchange and share information they have gathered.

It´s a scary thought, but knowing the ruthlessness of liberals and Obama worshippers, it would not surprise. It is unthinkable that such a thing could happen in America - or it used to be before Obama ´dug in" and, with a lot of help from his ´friends´, declared himself "America´s King."

Right now I see what looks like a bunch of people who got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Hardly any opposition. Time will tell I guess.

It remains to be seen whether the nation will continue to allow Obama or his ideology to remain at the helm.

"Allow" is an option that no longer exists for the nation. There is no more "allow" just like there is no more integrity, honesty, courage, nor moral standard whatsoever among 536 federally elected employees. In addition, there are no more personal consequences nor accountability for clear, open, live and in color crimes that twenty years ago, any one would result in slam duck impeachments. Mr. Obama has no opposition at all and will only afterburn his (READ-Valerie Jarrett´s) agenda even more than he already is. Soon, there will be a surprising surge in his popularity among most voters implemented by singling out and destroying whoever needs destroying, you know, his standard Alinsky rule tactic. It will work again to the surprise and shock of the Depends wearing (and filling) GOP. I´ve said it before, Obama could frog march any Benghazi whistle blower, IRS Tea Party victim, James Rosen, et al onto the White House lawn and on live video, shoot them all in the head, turn to the cameras and say, "I did it to save the children and show the need for stricter gun laws." Absolutely NOTHING would happen to Mr. Obama, nothing. And, the story would be Mitch McConnell and the GOP´s racist and extreme reaction to Obama´s "tough choices." It´s THAT ridiculous and most voters are THAT stupid. In fact, you ain´t seen nothin´ yet.

This is an excellent article summarizing many of the horrific facts (those that we know anyway) about the dictator 0bama. As has been stated many times before, those of us here were screeching at the top of our lungs about how bad he was even before the first election. The information she mentions was all "out there" and those like Charles Krauthammer could just as well investigated 0bama yet he continued to say he would "govern from the center." It is stunning to me that these brilliant elites chose to ignore the extreme warning signs about the evil, malicious 0bama. I truly hope there is an awakening in this country and he is finally seen for what he is. If there isn´t I truly don´t know what we will do. It is terrible to live in a constant state of upset wondering what horrific, criminal scandal will next erupt.

Bingo # 11.
Prism and the NSA domestic spying story has two prongs.
First-The overreach and waste of resources spent collecting metadata on innocent Americans ,
instead of profiling.
Secondly- Logic , common sense, past is prologue , Occam´s Razor et al. indicates that Obama and his allies accessed the collected
NSA data for political purposes.
How naive does one have to be after 5 years of this unscrupulous, deceitful and lawless administration to think they wouldn´t ?
How much evidence does one need to finally see and smell the corruption ?
Lindsey Graham has been on target on Benghazi and he threw that all away telling Holder
to his face that he trusted him to collect and use the data properly and legally.
Gullible Graham must hold the deeds to a lot of oceanfront property in Kansas.

One of hussein´s lackeys yesterday said that the billions of phone calls are absolutely necessary to follow patterns of calls to "known" terror cells overseas. Now they´re looking for "interns" to paw through them.

Hogwash to the max! The calls "from known" terror cells are monitored by the seconds and the recipients are also "known." The spin is like riding the spider at a carnival. You never know which direction they´re going to go.

A friend from Arkansas had a visit by three FBI agents at eleven the night of the OKC incident at the IRS building. After two hours of intense interogation, they explained that he had made a call to a known militia member in Michigan a minute and thirty seven seconds before the OKC event.

He had called about a part for a gun he saw advertised on Craigslist.

Don´t tell me our calls aren´t being listened to at will and whenever. It´s totally unconstitutional and a massive invasion of our right to privacy. Follow the decay of any dictator´s coup. Grab the communication, the media and then the military and the people are captives.

Keep your powder dry! Our liberties are at stake!

The main problem is that Americans have not yet been hit hard enough by the obama destruction. Most of us still have jobs, have plenty to eat, have adequate healthcare, still have retirement money and can travel from state to state without going through armed checkpoints (unless you fly). We have closets full of guns and ammo because we know what´s coming, we can buy what we like and can drive our cars around without them being stoned or burned and the government-backed race war so far doesn´t have enough steam to really get started.

Once some of that starts to change, obamacare kicks in, the economy crashes, people will finally get serious about getting rid of ValJar, Jugears, Holder, Axelrod, etc. and getting some reponsible adults in government. When it does start to change, EVERYTHING will depend upon the contents of those closets. If we hand over our guns, the last barrier to dictatorship is gone. Remember that when that decision faces you.

Go to your files, look, meditate on the three buildings collapsing as though there were explosives pre planted on every floor It´s professionally known as "demolition". The idea was that two crashing planes caused them to collapse uniformly, disappearing in their own chemical dust. Remember, the third instantly crumbling building suffered no plane crash? W and his entire staff instantly knew who did it and he "war-threatened" all Americans with "You´re either with us or against us", followed by the ill named Patriot Act, and formation of Homeland Security. Loss of freedom paved the way for the next evil dictator. A person hateful of America, and supportive of Communist beliefs flavored with an Islamic supremicist ideology, bringing with him a stealth packed cell of Communist comrades from his nefarious, unproven, non documented past. No birth certificate! not even with a legit social security card already ! News actors Diane Sawyer, Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Steve Pelley, have put beer drinking Americans to sleep, slumbering through this Hitleran destruction. Thank the bad drug dealing Diane Sawyer news fraudsters for putting America to sleep. And watch the 9-11 buildings again. See how truly desperate forces dare to work out in the open.

#28 – Ditto the end of your post: “When it does start to change, EVERYTHING will depend upon the contents of those closets. If we hand over our guns, the last barrier to dictatorship is gone. Remember that when that decision faces you.”

Actually this is a decision that every law-abiding citizen gun owner should already be thinking over and if not, its time to start. When the fit hits the shan it will happen quickly and there will be no time for reflection. The veneer of civilization is very thin, and especially fragile when the tearing apart is being instigated by a government. The socialists/progressives require the consent of their victims. All their registration and confiscation schemes depend upon voluntary compliance. Will you volunteer to register your weapons just because they declare an edict? Will you take your weapons down to the local police station just because they declare them de facto illegal? Do you have a place to hide your weapons when they begin house-to-house searches/confiscation? What is your plan for your place and circumstances?

Blessedly, our current sheriff is a member of the Constitutional Sheriffs and has publicly declared he will not enforce any unconstitutional gun laws. And, this is in California. Find out if your county sheriff is a member of Constitutional Sheriffs, and if he intends to enforce illegal gun-control laws.

I almost lost my lunch.....I quickly lurched for the on/off button and turned that idiot off! What an ass! "I´m not going to criticize this President"??????? No wonder we dont have a prayer as Conservatives in this Left-Wing dominated culture we´re trapped in!!!!!

Romney, you asshat, thanks for nothing! And that goes for McPain and Rubio and Christie and Ryan and whoever else the left portrays as our leaders..the truth is------WE ARE LEADER-LESS!!!!!! Obama and Biden and Clinton and Pelosi are all so wonderful to the lap-dog rumpswabs and all of our so-called conservative leaders like Romney and Bachmann and Palin are mocked and ridiculed with glee...this truly sickens me and it feels so hopeless to ever again be represented as a white, conservative, Christian, veteran, man! I am truly sick and tired of being treated like sh** !!!!

I´d like to think articles like this bring hope, but to me, it´s just false hope, all I can do is pray to GOD to change us back to the proud nation we once were, not the one full of lies, deviance, homosexuality, abortion, and false portrayal of Africans(They only constitute one out of eight of us...7 out of 8 Americans are NOT black!)

It feels like a losing battle against the Left-Wing Marxist cultural dominance in our culture, and I dont like it one bit...I want to CHANGE IT BACK!!

Apropos #12 and #31: Hasn’t it occurred to anyone else that the reason the Tsarnaevs weren’t stopped before the Marathon is that no one in a position of power wanted them stopped? Or, afterwards, caught? Those meddling citizens who brought about the arrests were comparable to the former SEALs in Benghazi, in that they gummed up the works in a much bigger and uglier plan.

In business it used to be called “shake-the-box management”: a phrase borrowed from the research labs, where a handful of mice were kept in a high-walled tray that was jiggled and bounced, randomly and continuously, depriving the ‘subjects’ of any trust in the stability of their surroundings, until they went stark staring crazy. Today, we -- all of us, that is, who aren’t shaking the box -- are the mice.

I agree with #4. I think all of the scandals since Benghazi have been launched on purpose to divert attention from Benghazi. I don´t think the IRS scandal or the information mining operations can reach the president. I think that which actually happened at Benghazi, a plan to trade an ambassador for a terrorist prisoner gone bad because of navy Seals doing their job too well and the subsequent cover up represents the real danger to the president and the leading Democrat candidate to replace him. Consider it has already been admitted that the IRS scandal was deliberately leaked and the government spying scandal was leaked to a British newspaper (try calling them before a congressional committee). That said, these diversions from Benghazi might prove almost as damaging.

We are a nation of laws, not of men and women.” Reid called militias staying at Bundy’s Bunkerville ranch “domestic violent terrorist-wannabes.” Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev.,

Eric Holder: Obama’s ‘Clemency

Attorney General Eric Holder criticized drug sentences doled out under “the old regime” in a video Monday announcing the Obama administration’s “Clemency Project 2014.” “In 2010, President Obama signed the Fair Sentencing Act reducing unfair disparities in sentences imposed on people for offenses involving different forms of cocaine. But there’s still too many people in federal prison who were sentenced under the old regime and who, as a result, will have to spend far more time in prison than they would if sentenced today for exactly the same crime. This is simply not right,” Holder says in the video. President Obama could

Several weeks ago the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia sponsored a debate–more a discussion–between me and Thaddeus Mason Pope about end of life care under the Affordable Care Act. He supports medical futility. I oppose it. We went from there. I began my presentation with the quote in the headline above–asserting that Palin’s term “death panels” may have put a spear through the heart of Obamacare. I then said: People are afraid of centralized bureaucrats dictating whether Craig’s [the moderator’s terminally ill babies) children can have medical care, whether my 96-year-old mother can have medical care, whether people with disabilities can have medical

Corruption: The senator who once guarded funding for a cowboy poetry festival in his home state now thinks those who stand in the way of his family´s increasing fortunes for defending their land are domestic terrorists. Cliven Bundy now finds himself being called a "domestic terrorist" for disputing the payment of grazing fees to a federal government he believes does not or at least should not own the 84% of Nevada that his cattle graze upon. "Those people who hold themselves out to be patriots are not. They´re nothing more than domestic terrorists," said Sen. Harry Reid last Thursday. "I repeat: What

After Breitbart Texas reported on the U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) intent to seize 90,000 acres belonging to Texas landholders along the Texas/Oklahoma line, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott questioned the BLM’s authority to take such action. “I am about ready,” General Abbott told Breitbart Texas, “to go to go to the Red River and raise a ‘Come and Take It’ flag to tell the feds to stay out of Texas.” Gen. Abbott sent a strongly-worded letter to BLM Director Neil Kornze, asking for answers to a series of questions related to the potential land grab. “I am deeply concerned about the

Although this editorial was written more than 20 years ago, just replace "Clinton" with "Obama," and it all applies perfectly to ObamaCare, from the phony promises to the bogus financing scheme to the massive new bureaucracy. It was this editorial and as many as 100 more like it in IBD that helped spare the nation the tragedy that would have been HillaryCare. The 246-page first draft of President Clinton´s health care reform proposal tells us plenty about the type of people in the White House these days. The plan reads like a very slick con job, and that should cause every taxpaying

´Imperial presidency" perfectly describes what the Obama administration has become as it increasingly violates the limits on its power defined by the Constitution. Criticisms of how President Obama is overstepping his authority are now being heard from all sides of the political spectrum. A remarkable 33-page report posted on the Internet by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor proves how imperial the Obama administration has become. This easy-to-read report, which can be downloaded from majorityleader.gov, details dozens of examples where the current occupant of the White House is exercising powers that the Constitution doesn´t give him. After being criticized as racially insensitive for his comments on unemployment in "inner cities," House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., will meet with the Congressional Black Caucus next week to discuss the issue of poverty, an aide for the CBC says. The American middle class, long the most affluent in the world, has lost that distinction. While the wealthiest Americans are outpacing many of their global peers, a New York Times analysis shows that across the lower- and middle-income tiers, citizens of other advanced countries have received considerably larger raises over the last three decades. After-tax middle-class incomes in Canada — substantially behind in 2000 — now appear to be higher than in the United States. The poor in much of Europe earn more than poor Americans. The numbers, based on surveys conducted over the past 35 years, offer some of the most detailed

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

Global sea levels have risen by 8 inches (20cm) since 1880 and scientists predict they could rise up to 3ft (98cm) by 2100. But despite the UN’s recent threats of war, famine and extreme weather, such a dramatically different world caused by sea level rise can be hard to imagine. To help picture the future, Martin Vargic, an amateur graphic designer from Slovakia, has created a map depicting the planet with sea levels around 260ft (79m) higher than they are today. He imagines what Earth would look like if the ice sheets surrounding the North and South poles melted, releasing

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

Harry Reid isn’t backing down from his claim that rancher Cliven Bundy’s supporters are “domestic terrorists.” It’s astonishing rhetoric given the White House’s characterization of the mass shooting by a genuine terrorist, Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 Americans at the Fort Hood Army base after yelling “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great.) Rather than labeling Hasan’s actions “domestic terrorism,” the Obama administration is prosecuting him for having committed “workplace violence.” Democratic rhetoric is become ever more desperate and overheated as we approach the November midterm elections.
