George Zimmerman judge: No trial
delay in Trayvon Martin shooting

Orlando Sentinel, by Rene Stutzman and Jeff Weiner

Original Article

Posted By:kennedylaw, 5/28/2013 1:02:16 PM

The George Zimmerman second-degree murder case will proceed to trial June 10, after his judge today denied his defense team´s latest request for a delay. The ruling was among several important decisions by Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson during a two-hour hearing this morning at the Seminole County Courthouse. The judge ruled for the state on several key issues: The defense may not bring up Trayvon Martin´s past marijuana use at trial, or his school suspensions or alleged participation in fights, without clearing several legal hurdles and another ruling granting permission.

So they can´t portray Trayvon as the scum he was, for fear of showing bias, unlike what the news media has done to Zimmerman for the past year or so!

Kangaroo court, Zimmerman is going to prison and he will die in prison. He is being set up to be murdered. The MSM did a thorough job of setting up this entire fiasco of a trial. I see they are once again using a picture of the 12 year old Martin.

This is why Zimmerman´s attorney made the rounds of talk shows explaining the text messages, school suspensions, etc. ahead of the trial.

Compare and contrast the "undated family photo" of Martin that the media uses in every article:

I didn´t realize how bad the rulings were until I heard some of it on the radio a while ago. It´s not just the fact that Trayvon was a Drug Thug that the judge isnt allowing in.

The deck is stacked against Zimmerman, but for some reason, I don´t think he´s going to be convicted.

I think that fat, ugly black thug government prosecuting attorney will over-play his hand if he acts in the courtroom like he does when the television cameras are turned on him.

The most important witness for the prosecution is the girlfriend of Saint Trayvon, and when they put her on the stand, the defense can ask her about the nature of those texts and photos from Saint Trayvon. The also can ask her about the Martin family attorney who questioned her before the police could get to her.
She will be shredded on cross examination.

The judge gave the defense several gifts today - even the lawyers on HLN knew that.

The prosecution overreached with a murder charge and now the judge wants to restrict evidence as though the guy is charged with some sort of non violent crime in which facts about the other party in a very violent tw0-way altercation are all declared irrelevant. There is no way the rulings will stand up if this ever goes to appeal - I doubt that step will be needed given the rest of the buffoonish wrangling of the judge and prosecution.

Ann Coulter´s research findings from her book ´´Mugged´´ are so apropos to this racially trumped up nothing burger of a prosecution. Over and over again, these incidents predictably go through optional phases of outrage, slander, denial of facts, stubborn prosecution, double jeopardy and finally,... ´´Ah, well, never mind.´´ afterthought on page 23 of the lib newspapers, if mentioned at all. The whole game worked a whole lot better before OJ, didn´t it, Libs???

A strange, yet compelling group is huddled in the lifeboat after they were illegally and underhandedly torpedoed in the dark of night by the SS Chicago: Car Dealers, Tea Party groups, selected media, and Zimmerman...and the media has sent a party boat with a large band continuously playing "Hail to the Chief" to circle them and drown out their cries for help.

I have followed the case since day one. Mr Zimmermans biggest crime is his last name. They thought he was the white guy they were looking for and although he turned out to be half hispanic, they ran with it anyway

The case is stacked against Zimmerman and unless they get a conviction, Sanford will be burnt down
There is hope though, as an appeal will be granted at some point and Zimmerman will eventually walk and then I hope he sues the state of Florida big-time. All this for a thug who would have ended up dead by his own people somewhere down the road

They can´t use the drug use, school records, and his texting in their opening argument.

If the prosecution opens the door by verbally canonizing St. Trayvon to the jury, or by allowing any witness to do so, the door will swing wide.

At that point the judge would have serious trouble keeping out evidence on whatever topics have been opened.

Patience.

Re #6, theconservativetreehouse.com has come up with what appear to be two girlfriends - one is Witness 8, the minor "Deedee", and the other an 18-year-old "Francine". They may have shared a prepaid cell phone. And one wrote the handwritten letter, but it was not "Deedee".

You´ll have to find it there. When they get into the "girlfriend" it is going to get very messy for the prosecution.

Missed this on the first read:

In court Tuesday, O´Mara mentioned for the first time new pieces of evidence damaging to Trayvon´s reputation: that the teenager had shot video of his buddies beating up a homeless man; that Trayvon had served as referee in another fight; and that he had won one fight after punching his opponent in the nose.

Over at theconservativetreehouse.com they have this to say:

The revelation that Trayvon Martin’s phone holds a video he made of a homeless man being beaten by Trayvon and his team of co-horts is, well, a big deal. A VERY big deal.

This means the State of Florida has known since, well, lets be generous, June/July of last year, that they possessed evidence of a crime. Obviously, it appears they did nothing about it – most likely because it would have presented itself as a diminishment to their case and the narrative of innocent, skittle carrying, teenage Trayvon.(Snip)

The second significant issue is the naked pictures of a girl on the phone of Trayvon Martin. Described as “15 or 17? by Mark O’Mara

And The Treehouse mentions that both Trayvon and Kit Durant/Darrant, who brutally killed his mother a week or so ago, were friends.

The Federal minimum wage has been frozen at $3.35 an hour for six years. In some states, it now compares unfavorably even with welfare benefits available without working. It´s no wonder then that Edward Kennedy, the new chairman of the Senate Labor Committee, is being pressed by organized labor to battle for an increase. No wonder, but still a mistake. Anyone working in America surely deserves a better living standard than can be managed on $3.35 an hour. But there´s a virtual consensus among economists that the minimum wage is an idea whose time has passed.
