Stockholm riots leave Sweden´s
dreams of perfect society up in smoke

Telegraph (UK), by Colin Freeman

Original Article

Like the millions of other ordinary Swedes whom he now sees himself as one of, Mohammed Abbas fears his dream society is now under threat. When he first arrived in Stockholm as refugee from Iran in 1994, the vast Husby council estate where he settled was a mixture of locals and foreigners, a melting pot for what was supposed to be a harmonious, multi-racial paradise. Two decades on, though, "white flight" has left only one in five of Husby´s flats occupied by ethnic Swedes, ...

Comments:
The promises of the humanist god, Diversity, once again proven to be a lie. The time is running out for Western Civilization. Mass immigration in Europe and the U.S. have almost reached a point of no return (if they haven´t already). The light that was the western world will fade into Islamic, multi-ethnic horror.

And "white flight" has spoiled the neighborhood. No mention of why whites fled.

Further proof that liberalism/socialism always promises utopia, but always delivers chaos. Russia. Cuba. East Germany. Cambodia. North Korea. Detroit. And even now the mind-numbed politically correct Swedes are afraid to say who is behind the chaos and why it is happening. Maybe if they offered even more benefits to the squatters? Yeah, that´s the answer.

The article is distilled in this comment:" it´s just that multi-culturalism doesn´t recognize how humans actually function." Util it is universally recognized that humans function with incentives, and capitalism offers the best incentives, our civilization is lost.

If you kept spitting up bile, if you couldn´t keep down a meal or even a glass of water, if pain in your belly awakened you at night and made you double over, would you ignore your physician when he orders an MRI?

And when he says you´ve got a malignant tumor which must be excised, would you pretend that nothing´s wrong? That the doctor is the problem?

Only insane or stupid or naive people would take into their embrace those who intend not to become part of their culture, but to destroy it.

Not to worry. The European MSM, which makes MSNBC look like the voice of reason, has placed the blame squarely on Swedish racism and the "inequality" that results in refusing to go fully communist, while refusing to use the word "Islam" in connection with the rioting.

Somehow Western governments and the cultures that elect them have totally forgotten (or purposely ignored) the genius of the original American concept of "the melting pot." Namely, immigration can be viable if the immigrants accept assimilation to the culture of the host country.

Countries and cultures are NOT equal. That´s the core reason for immigration...people leave violent or unsuccessful cultures to find a better life in stable, successful countries. Diversity is NOT worthy of being celebrated if it means bringing the violent and unsuccessful practices with you to ultimately destroy your new home.

I remember when the immigrants became so numerous that the Swedes felt some day they woulde be outnumbered. An official told the Swedes "we must be kind to the Muslims so that some day when they are in control they will be kind to us". (I may paraphrase a bit)

Now I read that the Swedish government is not interfering with the car burning hoping if they ignore it it will stop. Where did all the fearsome Norsemen go? Did they immigrate to America?

I used to read the Swedish writer Henning Mankell. He wrote the ´Kurt Wallender´ murder mysteries set in Sweden, which often included references to the immigration problem there.

So I was surprised to learn he´s a proud supporter of Islamic terrorism, was part of the HAMAS Gaza flotilla, and is vehemently anti-Israel and anti-Semitic. I further learned that most of the famous Scandinavian crime writers are far left and openly anti-Semitic. Needless to say, I´ve stopped reading their books.

WOW!!! That is some relevant insight into the immigration debate for you!

So much for pacifism. Eventually it was bound to catch up with Sweden. There is no place left on earth, except perhaps a few remote islands, where people can be safe from those who want power over others. Evil appears to triumph over good. But Sweden´s policy was doomed from the beginning because it´s simply not human nature to be good.

Many Swedes were left asking why a country that prides itself on a generous welfare state, liberal social attitudes and a welcoming attitude towards immigrants should ever have race riots in the first place.

...continued

The quote above answers its own unasked question: Liberals simply don´t understand why their "generous welfare state, liberal social attitudes and a welcoming attitude towards immigrants" can´t work. It can´t work because it is forced, mandated and so unfathomably misguided that one is left to wonder how reasonable people can truly believe such a la-la-land Utopia is possible.

When you believe the lie that people are born good, you easily lapse into liberalism and expect man´s better angels will prevail in such a false Uptopia. But man has no better angels at the core. The Bible is pretty clear about this and once again, you can see its truth.

Once you understand man´s warlike tendencies, the rest becomes clear. You may have peace for a while, but eventually, the ugliness of pacifism prevails and you get Chicago, Benghazi and Sweden.

Keep in mind through all this bashing, though, that Sweden recently elected, and then reelected, a reasonably honest centre-right government that is considerably to the right of the subversive Obama administration. So, Swedes have in fact learned lessons that Americans haven´t, yet. It´s really the Leftist media there that is the problem, and it´s a doozy.

This hits me deeper than I can comprehend...

I was born in Sweden. My Mother gathered us up and fled to America after WWII because she was sure Hitler was alive somewhere and going to come back at some point. His brown shirts would once again "rule" the streets....

Well -- they´ve come back. This time it´s the islamists who "rule" the streets. History has a way of repeating itself.....

My poor Crown Princess Victoria must have a broken heart watching the treatment of her people.

I´m so glad my Mother had the courage to bring US here. The land of the free and the home of the brave.

God Bless America!!

Americans have done the hard work in creating this great nation. A moral people worked together to build a nation in which people had an opportunity to better their lives. It was built at great personal risk and determination by people who longed for freedom from tyranny and wanted to govern themselves. It was the American experiment and it succeeded beyond their imaginations.

People of all nations came here to BE Americans to live the American dream. They bought into the idea of what it meant to be an American and they prospered.

Fast forward to today and you don´t see that. You see many people coming here illegally not to be an American. They do not assimilate. They reject our values. Freedom comes easy to them and they do not understand or respect it.

We could handle hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants coming here sincerely eager to be part of the American dream but what we can´t survive is our own vile politicians who have sold this nation´s sovereignty for political power. It is the very thing our ancestors fought against except it doesn´t come at us dressed in a red jacket and carrying a musket. It comes dressed in an expensive suit and promising social justice. It is tyranny nonetheless and it is the end result of open borders.

FTA: But amid the soul searching last week, perhaps the most telling comment was the one from Kjell Lindgren, the spokesman for Stockholm Police. "We don´t know why they are doing this," he said, when asked for a cause for the riots. "There is no answer to it."

Are Swedes that stupid, or is it just that they can´t see the forest because of the trees?

Many excellent comments concerning the Swedish problem! Different races, different cultures, different "hives", different groups, different herds, all have the protective, survival propensity, not to be able to exist in "alien" societies or cultures. This propensity resides in the most basic survival genes which have developed over the millions of year during which life has existed on Earth. There are parts of the survival mechanism which seems to allow for "thoughtful" adaptation between cultures, races. but seems to be a rather weak force when compared to the most basic survival emotion which is dead set against any "thoughtful", read, "do gooder´, SOCIALIST, "multiculturalism" type adaptation.

Dummies take note.

If you are nice to bastards who hate you, they will hate you even more. It´s not a head scratcher.

Losers who accept charity are thereby reminded that they are losers and will hate the benefactor. If they need to manufacture a reason for the hatred, they will say that the benefactor got his material wealth by screwing those lower on the totem pole.

Thus the genius of the Framers. They designed a "perfect" system to deal with imperfect people. Unfortunately, the deconstruction of their work began with Marbury v Madison and has continued since. The Emperor and his party have brought the wrecking ball.

Even Christianity, whose principles underlie our founding documents, was designed to deal with "sinners". Thus the fatal flaw in the religion of Humanism: we ain´t perfect.

A snowstorm in the South is about as rare as a glass of unsweetened tea at a church supper. Folks around Birmingham, Ala. weren’t all that worried though. The storm was only supposed to dust the city – not even enough powder for a Southern snowman. But a good number of those stranded motorists were able to find shelter in the storm thanks to the kindness and generosity of Chick-fil-A restaurant employees and the restaurant´s owner, Mark Meadows.

Record High in U.S. Say
Big Government Greatest Threat
Gallup Politics, by Jeffrey M. Jones    Original Article

Seventy-two percent of Americans say big government is a greater threat to the U.S. in the future than is big business or big labor, a record high in the nearly 50-year history of this question. The prior high for big government was 65% in 1999 and 2000. Big government has always topped big business and big labor, including in the initial asking in 1965, but just 35% named it at that time. The latest update comes from a Dec. 5-8 poll. Gallup has documented a steady increase in concern about big government since 2009, rising from 55% in March 2009 to 64% in November 2011 and 72% today.

Russia’s foreign ministry has released a statement saying that it is “perplexed” by the EU’s failure to renew an arms embargo on the Syrian opposition, writes Alex Winning. Russian officials said they were similarly bewildered by European foreign ministers’ move to extend economic sanctions on Bashar al-Assad’s regime, saying that such sanctions are “suffocating the Syrian people”.

Stockholm riots leave Sweden´s

Like the millions of other ordinary Swedes whom he now sees himself as one of, Mohammed Abbas fears his dream society is now under threat. When he first arrived in Stockholm as refugee from Iran in 1994, the vast Husby council estate where he settled was a mixture of locals and foreigners, a melting pot for what was supposed to be a harmonious, multi-racial paradise. Two decades on, though, "white flight" has left only one in five of Husby´s flats occupied by ethnic Swedes, ...

Pope Francis urges global leaders
to end ´tyranny´ of money

Pope Francis has attacked the “dictatorship” of the global financial system and warned that the “cult of money” was making life a misery for millions. He said free-market capitalism had created a “tyranny” and that human beings were being judged purely by their ability to consume goods. Money should be made to “serve” people, not to “rule” them, he said, calling for a more ethical financial system and curbs on financial speculation. Countries should impose more control over their economies and not allow “absolute autonomy”, in order to provide “for the common good”.

Independent study raises the bar for

The yardstick used in the immigration bill to determine border control may produce too rosy a picture of how well the Border Patrol is doing in cracking down on illegal crossings, according to an independent study released Monday that threatens to upend the immigration debate. In their 76-page report, three researchers at the Council on Foreign Relations also said the drop in illegal immigration is only partly a result of tougher border security and about two-thirds because of economic changes in Mexico and the U.S. that have made it less attractive for Mexicans to migrate north.

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jonathan Papelbon says that the president is out to take your guns. The pitcher, who came to prominence during his run with the Boston Red Sox (including as the team’s closer during their victorious 2007 World Series run), spoke with CSN Philadelphia and said, “Today’s day and age has gotten so crazy. Shoot man, Obama wants to take our guns from us and everything. You got all this stuff going on; it’s just a little bit insane for me, man. I’m not sure how to take it.”

As we now move into the official Political Aftermath period of the Boston bombing — the period that will determine the long-term legislative fallout of the atrocity — the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. Their answer: The immaculately conceived Clinton child could mean everything. Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations
