CNG cylinders don´t just explode, then catch fire. Maybe just not enough information and bad translation in this quick article but this sounds suspicious. Who knows how the bus was put together though. It may have just been a matter of time.

It´s a routine unfamiliar to many kids across the country. "Every morning when I was in school I´d put on my vest, coat and go to school," 19-year-old James Adams said. It wasn´t a fancy, fashionable vest. It was bullet proof, and he said it was a part of his daily morning routine. "It´s hard. Sometimes I might take a different route home depending on time of day when I know gang-bangers are outside" he said. It is the rough-and-tumble existence for many young black men like Adams all over the country where the street life of crime, violence and

The conventional wisdom being bandied about in the press is that Republican office holders, reflecting the views of their constituents, are obstinate, uncompromising, and backward-thinking. A recent CBS News/New York Times poll found, however, that precisely the opposite is the case. On a range of issues, that survey found that partisan Republican voters are more willing to compromise a range of issues than their Democratic counterparts. CBS/NYT pollsters asked Republican, Democratic, and independent voters if it was “possible” for them to consider voting for a candidate that did not share their view on a variety of issues. On subjects ranging

With five years having passed since the first tea party rally in 2009, MSNBC host Ronan Farrow invited two liberal guests on his program to discuss the impact the tea party has had on American politics and its potential to continue to shape events. Tara Dowdell, a political strategist and self-described progressive, warned her fellow liberals that it would be a mistake to write off the tea party because they are likely to have an outsize impact on the coming midterm elections. Farrow began by briefly recapping the history of the tea party. Afterword, he asked University of Lehigh professor

If you´re in Russia, and you´re a medalist at the Sochi Games, life is pretty good for you right now, with cash and a new car waiting for you. Russia gave all of its gold medalists in the Sochi Games $120,000, plus a brand-new Mercedes GL SUV. This led to a bit of logistical leapfrogging with athletes like Julia Lipnitskaya, who is only 15 and not yet of legal driving age in Russia. (She got a personal driver to go along with the car.) Silver medalists got $76,000 and a Mercedes ML, and bronze medalists got $52,000 and a Mercedes

Food labels would have larger-font calorie counts and more realistic portion sizes under an Obama administration proposal to significantly revise nutrition labels for the first time in two decades. The proposal, to be unveiled by first lady Michelle Obama at the White House on Thursday, aims to make it easier for consumers to decipher unhealthy ingredients in packaged foods. The new label would include a line for "added sugars" to distinguish from sugars that appear naturally in food. It would list nutritional values for vitamin D and potassium, which benefit bone health and blood-pressure control. A consumer should be able

On the fifth anniversary of the first Tea Party rallies, the movement´s record appears mixed. It swept the GOP to a majority in the U.S. House, where it has blocked President Barack Obama´s most radical ambitions. It helped the GOP win several governorships, launching reforms that broke the unions´ political stranglehold. At the same time, weak Tea Party candidates cost the GOP the Senate, and aggressive legislative tactics cost it support. The debate for and against the Tea Party obscures the movement´s larger achievement, which is that it reinvigorated a sense of opposition in American politics. Opposition is a natural

He went to jail for overbilling clients. But Hubbell never talked after his conviction and while serving 21 months in a federal prison. He didn´t talk after two further indictments, one that was thrown out and another that was plea-bargained.Like the

The move resulted from orders by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel last year that all the services review the qualifications of people holding those jobs as part of an effort to stem a rising number of sexual assaults in the military. The Army said it reviewed the qualifications and records of 20,000 soldiers and found 588 unsuitable for their jobs as recruiters, drill sergeants, training school instructors
