Obama on Memorial Day: ´We
must do more than remember´

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Original Article

Posted By:SurferLad, 5/25/2013 9:12:14 AM

Hi, everybody. This week, I’ve been speaking about America’s national security — our past, our present, and our future. On Thursday, I outlined the future of our fight against terrorism — the threats we face, and the way in which we will meet them. On Friday, I went to Annapolis to celebrate the extraordinary young men and women of the United States Naval Academy’s Class of 2013 — the sailors and Marines who will not only lead that fight, but who will lead our country for decades to come. And on Monday, we celebrate Memorial Day.

Most presidents begin talks to the people with the line "My fellow Americans." Zippy on the other hand, almost always says "Hi everybody."

Another one of those things that makes you go "hmmm"...

Yes, more than remember, "never" forget what Obama has done. We were once a God-loving country that respected everyone, but thanks to this administration, everyone is afraid of their neighbor.

Pray for America! We need God´s intervention, not Obama´s destructive control.

This country needs to come together for the betterment of all, not a select few that bow to the leader, expecting him to supply all their needs. I always thought that was God´s position. He alone is almighty God.

Pray - pray - pray for America.

Prey - prey - prey is Satan´s plan!

We need to repent for our sins and then wait/watch/see the goodness of God to prevail.

This Memorial Day needs to be important, defining who we are, respecting those who gave their lives so that we might prosper.

We must not let the political system control our lives. We are still the home of the brave and the land of the free!

We need to stand up for righteousness! God´s plan is still sovereign, not to be ignored, but to be appreciated and expected.

Obama has brought about more discontent than any other President of US!

Pray God´s blessings again as we, as a country, unite in repentance for all our sins and again return to the Faith of our Fathers! Amen

So, Mr. President, numerous military personnel today are not receiving desperately needed TRADITIONAL services and furthermore struggle to pay monthly bills; they are the surviving victims of Major Nidal Hassan. With a truly COLD HEART, you (laughably) classified their tragedy as "workplace violence." If you had been honest instead of so cold-heartedly political, those victims would not continue to suffer because of YOU, you who add insult to injury. Would it be time for YOU to step up to do YOUR part and reclassify Hassan´s surviving victims so THEY can have the benefits THEY deserve? The murdering Hassan becomes wealthier by the day, while his surviving victims struggle to regain a more normal life. Instead of lip service, Mr. President, take some of your own advice for a change.

No! Let us remember! Let us never forget our heritage.

Here, let me offer a quote from Abe Lincoln on this Memorial Day w.e.;

"At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

Let us Never Forget!

Hi, I’m Ann Wagner. It’s truly an honor to represent the heartland of our country in St. Louis, Missouri, as a member of the United States Congress. Growing up working in my parents’ carpet store, my daddy used to tell me that your word is your bond. That when your bond is broken; your trust is broken. (Scroll down for video of these full remarks.) Unfortunately, President Obama has broken that bond with the American people, and they no longer can trust his word. It seems like every week there is another broken promise from this administration about ObamaCare. As a candidate for president, then-Senator Barack Obama promised to sign

Hi everybody. In my State of the Union Address, I said that the best measure of opportunity is access to a good job. And after the worst recession of our lifetimes, our businesses have created eight and a half million new jobs in the last four years. But we need to do more to make America a magnet for good jobs for the future. And in this year of action, where Congress won’t do that, I will do whatever I can to expand opportunity for more Americans. This week, I took two actions to attract new jobs to America — jobs in American manufacturing, and jobs rebuilding America’s infrastructure.

Contrary to popular conception about porky Americans, there is some good news today for the country´s toddlers (and their parents) as they begin the journey as the next generation of teens, then adults: A new federal study finds a significant drop in obesity in children between the ages of two and five. A 43% decrease, to be exact. [Snip] The obesity decline among U.S. pre-schoolers is the first optimistic sign in such a major nationwide study. And Obama’s White House was quick to hail Mrs. Obama.

You may have seen news reports about Americans tiring of the war in Afghanistan, now our nation´s longest ever. Not surprising. What is surprising -- and hasn´t been widely noted -- is that it´s taken so long for a U.S. population famously addicted to instant gratification to tire of a deadly war that has so far claimed the lives of 2,313 countrymen and women. In previous wars since 1950 it´s been a mere matter of months before Americans were doubting the reasons for combat.

[Snip] Arkansans, like most Americans, have had their grit tested over the last several years through a financial collapse, recession, and a stagnant, jobless recovery. Barack Obama’s policies aren’t solving these problems — they’re causing the problem. Oh, geez. Here we go again. President Obama Wednesday stepped into the explosive political eruptions in Ukraine to gratuitously warn the embattled repressive government "there will be consequences if someone steps over the line." Seriously? After 1,856 days in office, this naive yokel, who promised he´d charm the world into loving America again, still cannot resist the temptation to utter empty threats to foreign leaders, threats that they know very well he has absolutely no intention of fulfilling, threats that diminish any surviving U.S. clout abroad.

Good morning. Few promises are more sacred than the ones we make to older Americans. Protecting the dignity and the security our seniors have earned is a commitment that spans generations and party lines. For example, during President Obama´s health care speech to Congress in the fall of 2009, he spoke directly to older Americans. “These steps,” he said, “will ensure that you — America’s seniors — get the benefits you´ve been promised.” Then, during a telephone town hall with seniors from around the country, he said he wanted to respond to what he called “hysterical claims” about his plan. “Here’s the truth..." he said,
