Obama´s new Energy chief:
Climate change ‘not debatable’

The Hill, by Ben Geman

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 5/22/2013 6:40:36 PM

New Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz doesn’t want to spend his tenure battling over climate science. “Let me make it very clear that there is no ambiguity in terms of the scientific basis calling for a prudent response on climate change,” Moniz told Energy Department employees shortly after his swearing-in. “I am not interested in debating what is not debatable,” Moniz said in his remarks at the Tuesday ceremony. “There is plenty to debate as we try and move forward on our climate agenda.”

Comments:
Oh, go away.

Here´s Ernest: See him to believe him:

The sun revolves around the earth - this is an accepted consensus. Copernicus, keep your crazy ideas to yourself.

From Wikepedia:

The geocentric model held sway into the early modern age, but from the late 16th century onward was gradually superseded by the heliocentric model of Copernicus, Galileo and Kepler. However, the transition between these two theories met much resistance, not only from Christian theologians, who were reluctant to reject a theory that was in agreement with Bible passages (e.g. "Sun, stand you still upon Gibeon", Joshua 10:12 - King James 2000 Bible), but also from those who saw geocentrism as an accepted consensus that could not be subverted by a new, unknown theory. [emphasis added]

Skepticism is essential to science. Accepting without being open to contrary ideas is unscientific. Too bad the MSM lets the climate change/warming crowd get away with wrapping themselves in the mantle of science.

Look...... climate change ISNT debatable! That is a true statement. It is a FACT that the climate changes. We have glacial periods and inter glacial periods. The fact is that planet earth spends more time covered in ice than it doesnt. These warming cycles are very short in comparison. I´m far less concerned with warming than I am with the approaching ice age. And for the record.....................Unless we can regulate the sun´s output and control the earths orbit, the climate will change no matter how fuel efficient we are.

Under the federal Affordable Care Act, taxpayers will have to subsidize a bigger slice of the health insurance coverage promised individuals in some areas of the country than in others. Some of the biggest federal subsidies will be required in portions of Colorado, Georgia and Nevada, where premiums are highest, according to a Digital First Media analysis of premiums and tax credits across 50 states, plus the District of Columbia. Far fewer tax credits will be needed in places such as Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Tucson where insurance premiums already were among the lowest in the nation. Maryland could end up spending as much as $30.5 million as a result of a glitch in its ObamaCare website, as the Obama administration steps in to help states with problematic exchanges. Because of Maryland’s defective exchange, the state cannot determine whether customers remain eligible for Medicaid, according to a report by state budget analysts released Thursday. As a result, the state has agreed with the federal government to a six-month delay in determining eligibility, meaning that payments will continue to be made to customers who are not eligible until the system is fixed. The delay will cost the state $17.8 million

President Obama´s proclaimed strategy to "bypass Congress" — most conspicuously his broad rewriting of the Affordable Care Act — has given unusual prominence to a fairly arcane legal doctrine: standing. Standing is what is preventing a potential blizzard of litigation against the president´s unilateral decrees, and ironically, it´s a doctrine liberal jurists have long decried. To challenge the government in federal court, it isn´t enough to simply believe that the government´s conduct is illegal or even unconstitutional. Federal courts can hear only specific disputes about the law as applied to particular people. To be heard in court, a person must have
