House votes to repeal ObamaCare
Hill [Washington,DC], by Pete Kasperowicz

Original Article

The House voted to repeal ObamaCare on Thursday for the third time since Republicans took over the chamber in 2011. Only two Democrats sided with Republicans in the party-line 229-195 vote — Jim Matheson (Utah) and Mike McIntyre (N.C.). All Republicans voted in favor of repeal. This is the 37th time the House GOP has voted to repeal or defund at least part of the bill, but this latest bill will also not become law given Democrats´ control of the Senate. Still, many House Republicans had clamored for the bill from Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) to be considered,

They also voted to raise taxes.
They also voted to not cut spending.
They vote and hold hearings, but get nothing done.
They are likely going to vote to legalize illegal aliens.

Having the Senate wouldn´t help. It´d just be another source of excuses.

Taking a stand is never a waste of time! Once Obamacare becomes the law and the IRS is deciding who gets surgery and who does not, the Senate will take the blame and hopefully many of these dinosaurs will be ousted for their role in all of this.

Stupid NH voters re-elected Shea-Porter, the dim-witted dolt, who had been and is again a reliable Dem/Leftie vote. She is joined now by Leftist Ms. Kuster.

We need the Senate in order to repeal ...unless some Dems get a conscience (not likely). It´s possible that a weakened, effete regime, with all the corruption exposed, could compel some Dems to put their own survival above BO´s political survival. After all, BO cares only about BO... not the Constitution, not the Republic, not justice, not truth...

I agree that it is important to just keep voting, again and again, to repeal Obamacare, because when the full force of impact starts to hit, come this October, the 2014 election ads will say: The Republican controlled House of Representatives tried 34 (and up) times to repeal this nightmare. The Democrat controlled Senate never voted to repeal it. I think the LoFos can deal with that much info at one time.

I´m all for repealing Obamacare, but defund it, since it´s a tax according to the SCOTUS. People on this forum always give the definition of insanity, and isn´t this what the house is doing, since the outcome never changes?

From the article: "Doyle and Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) estimated that the cost of these votes is $53 million and said that money would be better used in other ways." Huh? They´re saying that it costs $53 million for the House to take a vote on a bill? What? How? Why?

It would have been better to put together and pass an actual replacement bill, with a single paragraph to repeal Obamacare. Borrow heavily from the "good" parts of Obamacare, and add in things like tort limits, etc. With today´s symbolic action, the Dems will continue to argue Obamacare vs status quo. That´s not what most people want.
