To no one’s surprise, it is already evident that the Obama administration has been lying about the scope of the IRS’s harassment of conservative-leaning non-profits. The Washington Post has obtained documents that show the anti-conservative effort was directed from Washington, D.C., and was not a rogue operation out of the agency’s Cincinnati office, as the administration has claimed: Internal Revenue Service officials in Washington and at least two other offices were involved in the targeting of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, making clear the effort reached well beyond the
How the worm turns. Those of us who frequent this Salon have seen this coming for YEARS. Chicago on the Potomac; Jug Ears, Plugs, ValJar, Moochelle Antoinette and Twinkle Toes set the tone and gears in motion back in January 2009...
Will Constitutional Patriots step up and throw this rogue regime out?
We are turning into a banana republic. And the folks who could have stopped it, didn´t. That would be the MSM, who aided and abetted this centralization and abuse of power, all to further their ideology.
It has become the ´Alinsky dream´, and ´1984´ America IS being transformed into a Socialist/Communist society right be for our eyes...and, the vast majority of Americans don´t know or care...bye, bye freedom.
1. Who seriously believes Obama didn´t know about this? 2. Who seriously believes the "progressive" response to the IRS targeting conservatives isn´t "cool, man"? 3. Who seriously believes Obama and the "progressives" are going to stop targeting conservative groups? 4. Who seriously believes the GOP has the stones to do anything about it?
Three, count ´em, three huge scandals all boiling over for obama in the same week - and it´s only monday. He has no power or credibility left and this country will not be molded into his idea of a kingdom. It´s over for the regime and he knows it. Any day now, I predict the facts of Fast and Furious will begin to surface. His own people are tired of covering his butt. That´s why you see the desperation, arrogance and the bitterness in every public appearance. He and michelle were handed the opportunity of a lifetime and they BLEW IT.

People, focus. IF obomba is ready to throw the IRS under the bus...his obombacare police....WHAT DOES THIS TELL YOU ABOUT BENGHAZI? That it must be even a larger fish to catch? Think about it. Benghazi is the prize winner here. This IRS Scandal is nothing more than small fries, just as his talking points were. It´s all about Benghazi and how the truth there must be hidden from WTP at all costs. At the moment he is throwing us stink smoke bombs. Benghazi is the place to look for nuclear hype.
President Obama found out about this the same way most of us did - from Newspaper accounts, I think probably this past Friday - he thinks it´s outrageous and when he finds out who´s responsible, he´s going to hold those people accountable - now that his Monday Fundraisers are finished, he´ll probably find out Tuesday about the Tapping of AP Reporters´ phones o - when he finds out who´s responsible for that, he´ll hold them accountable as well
Progressives don´t need specific orders from the top. They know the drill and are willing to do whatever it takes to advance the agenda. Obama has set the tone and his administration knows what he expects them to do even if it means breaking the law. There would be trouble for them with Obama if they didn´t take every advantage legal or illegal. Obama has never had to deal with the consequences of his actions. He has skated for so long that he believes he is untouchable. He wanted the job. Let´s see if he takes responsibility. If he threw his grandmother under the buss, no one is safe. Obama is confident none of these scandals will touch him. It remains to be seen if his confidence is overrated or not.
The usual question: What if the Bush administration had done something like this, what would the response be? The left would be swinging from chandeliers throwing hand grenades screaming not for impeachment but prison.

Actually No. 7, we need both. The IRS issue is palatable to the low info voters. Foreign policy is hard but ´Look out Ma, the Revenuer´s is after us´ is something that the low info voters can understand. Frankly we need ao keep pushing on both fronts especially in Congress. Lord knows there are some low info voters there
Since this entire operation was aimed at rigging the election for zippy and the dims, shouldn´t the election be declared null and void? Doesn´t this prove, without a doubt that the election was stolen?
Poster #15 you are right, so right. I have always wonder how much the lower level Alinskyites operate without direct guidance from above. I feel they don´t operate out of fear of retribution from the regime, but rather are looking for "atta boys" and governmental promotions for more perks, pay, and power for corruption they initiate. However, having said that, I believe this scandle involves very high ups in the regime.
In response to above, there no constitutional way to void the 2012 election and make Romney President. The constitutional remedy is impeachment and lying to the American people is not a crime. The IRS and APA mess are potentially impeachable, but the GOP would be dumb to try. Our base is fired up for 2014 anyhow, why try to stir up the Obama base? I remind you that Clinton´s popularity ROSE during impreachment. Obama´s would rise higher. he starts froma baseline of 45% approval that is rock solid. He will never be driven to the low 30´s like Bush.
Our Tea Party was put through this illegal witch hunt! I hope those responsible are tried, convicted and Hanged inside a week. There is NO EXCUSE for this illegal activity on the part of the Internal Rat Service!
...and don´t think for a second that Obie didn´t know and sponsor with the Mafia wink!
# 7 - Yes, the bigger picture, possibility of a WWIII is being played in the background without as much attention as it deserves ----- SYRIA and BENGHAZI connection. From Arab Spring, to Benghazi, to IRS to ´transformation´ of this country with projects like obamacare, the EPA rules and regs to massive icrease by Trillions annually to the national debt, all of this is to bring the U.S.A. to it´s knees, losing its sovereignty to install a One World Order. Look how often leadership by the UN has been the subject of conversation, i.e., gun control, etc. Read the following article by Doug Hagmann:
We´ve listen to the ruling elite in Washington DC tell US how intelligent the "won" is. What a "cool" guy he is....
He´s not "cool" -- he´s dangerous because he´s got a thug team in the White House. They decide how to "rule" and he plays golf and travels and makes campaign speeches....He didn´t give the "stand down" order for Bengahzi. The hildebeast and moochelle and valerie/iranian did. He´s an affirmative action president. He gets the credit while others do the work. Well -- looks like -- it´s coming round ---- finally...
I heard a radio commentator call this country -- and what it´s become under the regime -- the Regulation Nation.
That says it all....WAKE up demorats. Your "cool" dude is taking you down the river....
Very shrewd thinking, #25. We have a hat trick of scandals--Benghazi, the IRS, and the AP phonetapping. The best way forward is to use these overreaching blunders to create a 2014 supermajority in the House, and a majority in the Senate. At that point, anything is possible, including abolishing Obamacare. We the people can create a counterbalance to the Obama regime, and make him the lamest of lame ducks for the rest of his sorry a## second term. Obama knows this, too. No wonder he was crying yesterday!
Yes, the IRS and AP stories are scandals, but WHY are they all of the sudden being exposed NOW? The Regime is doing everything and anything to take attention off of Benghazi -- they know that´s the one thing that could truly take Zippy down. I hope it doesn´t go the way of Fast and Furious.
I read these things and "sorta" get my hopes up that Obama will be found out to be the worst, most dishonest president we have EVER had and then, nothing happens. I don´t think it will happen this time as there are so many people in this country would not believe it if they actually saw it happen. The only way they would believe is if Obama took away their food stamps, etc. and that will never happen.
RE#25 Lying to the American people specificcaly to affect the outcome of an election is more than just lying. I view it as a deliberate and succesful attempt to subvert the democratic process. I personally dont see any difference in what they did during the coverup than stuffing the ballot box. Least we forget that in lying, the administration also impugned a private citizen for exercising his 1st amendment rights and found a reason to arrest him.
The IRS abuse is also about affecting future elections. Fast and Furious was about pushing thru an anti-gun agenda and future elections. Every scandal is about gaining power, maintaining it or centralizing it. And personally, I´m not sure that Obama is smart enough to be orchestrating it himself. Does he know, yes. Did he ok these actions, yes. Did he sign a memo, probably not.
To believe anything that this administration states as fact "requires the suspension of disbelief".
Rush pointed out that the hassling began right about the same time Obamacare was signed into law. Around March of 2010. It was also a few months after the sweeping Tea Party victory in 2010. Nothing is coincidental with this bunch. Ask David Axelnut.
No one but a few will have the fortitude to do anything about this administration. Boehner will whine like a little kid and make idle threats of getting tot he bottom of it but do nothing. Wouldn´t it be nice to have someone like Ted Cruz as Speaker....
#25 is right that impeachment would be a wrong course ... for now.
You overestimate however Obama´s "rock-solid" base at 45%. I would peg that base at closer to 25%-30%.
If the drip-drip-drip of news of Obama´s disastrous incompetence and undenialbe mendacity keeps up --as it almost certainly will-- he will lose that 15% padding that is composed of "independents."
It could even happen that public fury at Obama will rise to such levels that there is an overwhelming demand for impeachment. No, I´m not holding my breath ... but I believe it´s now in the realm of possibility.
FTA: "My other friend, also a significant Republican donor, was the subject of an audit that seemed patently unreasonable. In the course of it, the IRS agent explained apologetically that he was just following orders from Washington."
So the "orders" came from Washington. I wonder what would qualify one to be a "significant" donor. Would one actually have to be wealthy as well? When I was working (I´m retired now, but was back on contract for a couple of years, and making a six-figure income), I was actually prepared to plunk down $5000.00 for the Republican Presidential candidate, and was also prepared to donate a "significant" sum to conservative, TEA Party candidates around the country (I did that, anyway, but not as much as I would have liked). I wonder if I might have been the target of an IRS audit had I given that $5000.00.
#37 - I´m reasonably confident that Barry the Fraud is not smart enough to be orchestrating this ´transformation´ by himself. He has no track record of ever having done a thing in his life. Barry is nothing more than the pocket watch being held by that group of hypnotists - Valerie Jarrett and the Czars. Does he stumble in his speech due to the lack of a teleprompter or is he having the 2-3 second delay processing what he is hearing in the speaker implanted inside him. You do recall that large scar on the side of his head, right? Cue Twilight Zone music.
Point being there is no proof that he has more than a modest IQ and he talks like he has no first-hand knowledge of what he is saying.
Everywhere that I have scanned in recent news, there is no mention of Fast &Furious. This disheartens me because the reporters (and therefore public) no longer connect the dots to Holder. Meanwhile Boehner and the other jackboot RINOs are planning on amnesty to give more votes to the Dems. What a very sick country. Oh and my friends son in Afghanistan reports that since the sequester their Base is only fed once a day. The other two meals or his MREs. There is no transport either. Military leadership appointed by this Admin is very weak. I fear for our future.
Be patient. We are one week into the media actually reporting that bad things happened in Obama´s White House. It took months for Watergate to play out and in the beginning most lo-info voters were wondering what the big deal was. People are just coming forward.
Today you can add Christina pro-life groups to those being hassled by the IRS and that began almost as soon as Obama was in office! Back in 2009 the IRS tried to make approval of 501 status dependent upon all the board members of Coalition for Life of Iowa signing a statement, under penalty of perjury, that they will not picket or protest or organize others to picket or protest outside of Planned Parenthood!
Obama is always up to date on things like Trayvon Martin , the Cambridge cop imbroglio , college and NBA basketball ,Michael Jackson , Jay Z and Beyonce. He is apparently spending time following a squirrel on Twitter. What´s actually happening in the administration he heads- not so much. I wonder how many in his inner circle will fall on their swords , to the point of going to jail , to protect him ?
The Internal Revenge Service expose´ is a last minute "WAG THE DOG" distract from the first 3 State whistleblowers, and more! Those actually AT Benghazi, not permitted to speak of the horrors. Nasty IRS press. a beautiful distraction. Remember, even good Congress guys, back IRS crimes 100%, never talk about eliminating it. Benghazi has been such a wake up call to all media traitors, that something HAD to break to distract all beer drinking citizens. Currently the Puglosi/Feinstein devils in government are attempting to (1) use violence crises to confiscate your gun privacy (2) counter many state laws to not sell cannabis (3)attempting to budget a SIX TRILLION DOLLAR amnesty to bribe illegal aliens votes (leaving millions of qualified foreign applicants back of the bus) (4) introducing Stalinist, communist style medicine with forceful KGB backing of (once again) the IRS (5) Congress tricks to keep the Mexican border wide open forever (6) Holder smuggling thousands of guns to Mexican drug running gangsters (7) Hussein threatening to give our sovereignty away to Islamic controlled NY based UN (8) uncounted Islamic supremicists infiltrating Washington (8) IRS taxing the tax-free internet. Imagine, the IRS to control & punish all these potential criminals: doctors, patients, gun owners, internet purchasers, tea party conservative or libertarian, pot smokers, on and on. Where is Breitbart when we need him ! IRS wins.
If the MSM and Press had done their jobs none of these special investigating committees would have been necessary for all the scandals, corruption and cover-ups. The facts and truth would be out there and the firings, indictments and prosecutions could under way.
Make no mistake - the loathsome MSM gleefully endorses the harassment of conservatives by the IRS. Behind their fake "concern" they are popping the champagne and hoping Obama takes the next steps beyond mere harassment.
I think that there was a confluence of events that convinced the media that it was time for them to start doing their job again; the testimony of the Benghazi whistleblowers, the NYT’s publication of their Pigford investigation on page 1 above the fold, and rumors about the IRS scandal, the DOJ subpoena of the AP’s phone records and possibly other (still secret) scandals.
They must have concluded that if they were ever going to do any investigative reporting on the Won, now was the time; since they will, of course, go back to being the Democrat’s propaganda arm as the 2014 election gets closer. If they dump all the bad stuff now, they can ignore it (as “old news”) if any Republican dares to raise any of these issues in 2014 or 2016.
Morally speaking, Obama and his ilk should be gone from office. Right here. Right now. The powers that be (and Obama be dat powa!) cannot fool me into thinking they didn´t KNOW what was going on. The powers that be (and Obama be dat powa!) have put just enough distance between themselves and the acts committed to have plausible deniability. Obama be guilty as SIN!
Strategically speaking, however, I believe our focus should be on using Obama´s own dishonesty and corruption to knee-cap him politically. Turn him into a political eunich. Let him sing with the Leftist castrati, if you will. But use Obama´s sins to boost a Conservative majority in both houses of Congress. AND ...
Here´s the big AND ... Use Obama´s corruption (which includes Hillary Clinton´s participation) to keep Hillary Clinton from being a viable candidate for POTUS in 2016 and beyond.
Be innocent as doves, says the Bible, but as wise as serpents. In other words, for this case, think strategically. And do so ethically. And remember: Obama is not going away via impeachment. Accept it. But render him powerless.
As caught up in the emotion of the minute myself and most people here are, I agree with #25. You might get one, but unless you get the media whores, it´ll get spun from here to timbuktu that the Republicans are simply out for revenge. Let them think they are in control, then knock it out of the park in the voting booth.
This will all blow over in a few days because the state controlled media will never allow lord messiah o´bama´s people to be blamed for this little peccadillo, this minor "discretion". To quote Deep Purple from their song "Mary Long" "They made a fuss they made apologies everybody thought the show was funny"!! That is pretty much what is going on behind closed doors!!
THE FIRST step in dealing with a problem is to admit that you have one. By that standard, President Obama began Monday to resolve the embarrassing computer malfunctions that marred the opening phase of the Affordable Care Act. The administration has been tardy in dealing with a brewing crisis that could undermine confidence in the program. Mr. Obama declared that “nobody’s madder than me” about the glitches, slow loading and stalls with the Web site HealthCare.gov that angered people wanting to explore their options or sign up for the new health insurance plans. While properly extolling the virtues of extending
Days before the launch of President Obama’s online health insurance marketplace, government officials and contractors tested a key part of the Web site to see whether it could handle tens of thousands of consumers at the same time. It crashed after a simulation in which just a few hundred people tried to log on simultaneously. Despite the failed test, federal health officials plowed ahead. When the Web site went live Oct. 1, it locked up shortly after midnight as about 2,000 users attempted to complete the first step, according to two people familiar with the project. As new details emerged
Attorney General Eric Holder said today, in a speech to a convention of police chiefs, that mass shooting incidents have tripled in the last few years: Between 2000 and 2008, the U.S. experienced an average of five mass shootings every year. Since then the annual average has tripled, Holder said. So far in 2013, there have been at least 12, he said. According to Justice Department figures on mass shootings, 404 people were shot and 207 people were killed from 2009 to 2012. From 2000 to 2008, 324 people were shot and 145 were killed. So Holder is telling us
Sebelius told Congress this afternoon that she will indeed agree to testify about the O-Care rollout — just not this week, as she has a scheduling conflict. Here’s a question for her when she does via Byron York: How are they paying for this all-hands-on-deck salvage operation of Healthcare.gov, which even The One himself described as a “tech surge” in the Rose Garden today? I’m not asking that rhetorically, either. Appropriations can be very confusing; plenty of people watching the “defund” pageant play out assumed, I think, that a shutdown would mean choking off funding for ObamaCare until it was
"The Affordable Care Act is not just a website," President Obama said at the Rose Garden today. "It´s much more." It´s like a chamois, it´s like a towel, it´s like a sponge. Another way of putting it is that ObamaCare isn´t just a technical failure. And it isn´t just an economically unsustainable scheme. Now it´s a rhetorical disaster too. Even by the standards of Obama speeches it was terrible. It was so bad, it was the ObamaCare website of political oratory. Fine, blame us. After all, we called for an Obama speech. But remember that what we called for--it was right there in the subheadline--was an
The media are doing a good job covering the ObamaCare launch problems. But like their coverage of President Obama´s disastrous performance in his first presidential debate with Mitt Romney, there is a partisan motive at work here. The media want ObamaCare to succeed and believe that pounding away at the site problems will motivate the White House to get the site fixed. While the tech problems are real and worth covering, so are five other ObamaCare catastrophes. But the media won´t cover those because to do so might further undermine the program: 1. Millions are Losing Their Health Insurance
After a speech in which President Obama failed to discuss how he was going to fix Obamacare, save for providing a 1-800 number to call, which was not working during and immediately after his speech, White House press secretary Jay Carney went on to have a pretty rough press briefing. When ABC’s Jonathan Karl asked Carney, “If the website is not fixed, will people still need to pay the fine?” Carney refused to answer, saying that we were three weeks into a six-month long process and implying that we need not worry about this hypothetical. “You can’t really charge people
The White House communications team had three weeks to find 10-15 people who’ve actually enrolled in O-Care via Healthcare.gov to serve as human props for an Obama press conference on this subject. Three weeks. And yet, according to the WH’s own mini-biographies of the people invited to the Rose Garden today, just … three have successfully registered so far. Last week, Bob Laszewski estimated that no more than 20,000 people had managed to enroll in the site’s first 14 days or so online. If the White House had this much trouble finding a dozen or so for one of O’s
Ich kann gar nicht so viel fressen, wie ich kotzen moechte: I can’t eat enough to puke as much as I want to. The words of the great German-Jewish painter Max Liebermann as he watched the Nazis march through the Brandenburg Gate came to mind as I saw Ron Howard’s Showtime documentary about Jay Z’s 2012 “Made in America” festival. We’ve seen this all before: the emotive orator with a twisted face evoking surge of rage from a mass audience that responds with rhythmic arm gestures. I’m late to this discussion, to be sure: This is the face of American
One of the more irritating aspects of the recent government-shutdown unpleasantness has been the “I told you so” lamentations of the defund/delay plan’s critics — as if they had anything approaching a workable alternative. I highly recommend Andrew McCarthy’s weekend column. It’s a devastating takedown of the notion that Obamacare repeal is just a multi-election Republican winning spree away. Even if we were able to achieve a Republican perfect storm, sweeping the Senate in 2014 then taking the White House in 2016, does anyone foresee a filibuster-proof Republican senate majority? Isn’t the best-case outcome of that strategy a tweaking of
Over the weekend, the Department of Health and Human Services posted an apology/action plan on the Affordable Care Act. "Our team is bringing in some of the best and brightest from both inside and outside government to scrub in with the team and help improve HealthCare.gov," they promised. Right. So, two things on that. The first, as Matt Yglesias notes, is that "The Best and the Brightest is about how a bunch of smart guys blundered the country into the Vietnam War. This is not the reference you want to make when launching your ambitious initiative." Pedantry aside, the line
From a letter to the editor in the Watertown Daily Times: I am a business owner in Clayton. We have 17 full-time employees and have spent the last few months following the rollout of the Affordable Care Act. I am now prepared to go on record to report that we have been misled by the president and the Democrats in Congress. We were promised that under the ACA, we would be able to keep our present insurance plan if we liked it, and we could keep our own doctor, according to President Obama. This is absolutely not true. My current
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s campaign spokeswoman Allison Moore attacked the Senate Conservatives Fund for endorsing McConnell’s primary challenger Matt Bevin on Friday. “Matt Bevin now has the dubious honor of standing with a self-serving D.C. fundraising group that made its name by recruiting and promoting unelectable candidates that ensured Barack Obama a majority in the Senate,” Moore said in a statement to the Washington Post. “They clearly care less about Kentuckians than they do about their reputation for supporting laughably bad candidates. Now they can add a New England bailout recipient who claims he went to MIT to their
Members of Congress and their staffs are on red alert tonight for a CBS 60 Minutes investigation by veteran CBS reporter Steve Kroft and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President and Breitbart News editor Peter Schweizer exposing how lawmakers convert campaign donations into lavish lifestyle upgrades for themselves and their family members. Sources say top CBS executives thought the report was so explosive that they made it the show’s lead story and delayed airing it for another week in order to capture tonight’s much larger NFL-viewing audience. The report features selected revelations from Schweizer’s forthcoming book, Extortion: How Politicians Extract Your
WASHINGTON- President Barack Obama is expected to acknowledge that widespread problems with his health care law´s rollout are unacceptable, as the administration scrambles to fix the glitches. Obama was scheduled to speak Monday from the Rose Garden, his first health care-focused event since the cascade of computer problems became apparent. The troublesome rollout of the health care exchanges has been a glaring embarrassment for Obama´s signature legislative achievement. White House officials say the president will discuss steps the administration is taking to address the glitches, including ramping up staffing at call centers where people can apply for insurance by phone.
A reader who says that he has done large software installations for one of the big accounting firms wrote the following in an email. It seems to validate the concerns discussed in my Washington Examiner column on the Obamacare IT mess.1. The integration aspect is most difficult. In this case, the integration of various Federal Systems to determine subsidies is proving a daunting task. You are dealing with legacy systems that don’t integrate very well. Also the integration with the insurers consisting of sending an insurance application to the insurance company, a much easier task, was also screwed up. 2. The
In an essay "Freedom of the Press" George Orwell wrote presciently about the dangers of a press too bound to prevailing orthodoxy to print anything else: "Unpopular ideas can be silenced, and inconvenient facts kept dark, without the need for any official ban. Anyone who has lived long in a foreign country will know of instances of sensational items of news -- things which on their own merits would get the big headlines -- being kept right out of the British press, not because the Government intervened but because of a general tacit agreement that "it wouldn´t do" to mention that
During an interview for “This Week,” former Republican Florida Gov. Jeb Bush encouraged Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz – who told ABC News that he would do “anything” to stop Obamacare – to come up with an alternative and show some restraint if his aim was to repeal the president’s signature healthcare law. “I think the best way to repeal Obamacare is to have an alternative; we never hear the alternative...we could do this in a much lower cost with improved quality based on our principles, free market principles...and two, show how Obamacare, flawed to its core, doesn’t work,” Bush
President Barack Obama will declare the glitches in a new healthcare website ´unacceptable´ on Monday as his team scrambles to fix problems that have tainted the roll-out of his signature healthcare law. Fresh from two weeks of budget battles that have consumed Washington, Obama will hold an event at 11:25am in the White House Rose Garden with consumers, small business owners, and pharmacists who have been affected by the new law. The move is the highest-profile step in a broad damage control effort that the administration has launched since technical problems with the website, healthcare.gov, have prevented Americans nationwide from signing up
The word “appropriate” is one of the better homonyms in the English language. As an adjective, it is defined as “suitable or proper in the circumstances,” while as a verb appropriate means “to take something for one’s own use, typically without the owner’s permission.” Which brings us to the Washington Redskins. Currently the Redskins are more than a disappointing NFC East franchise; they are a national litmus test. The franchise has in recent months taken a lot of heat – and not Miami Heat – because its name is a racial slur. Which - and we might as well deal with this
Tea Party groups and big-business interests will ratchet up the civil war for the heart and soul of the Republican Party during the 2014 elections. Fed up with conservatives who do not want comprehensive immigration reform and more government expansion, business groups like the Chamber of Commerce will seek to oust conservative lawmakers in Congress. “We are going to get engaged,” Scott Reed, a senior political strategist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, told Bloomberg News. “The need is now more than ever to elect people who understand the free market and not silliness.” The chamber reportedly "spent $35.7 million on federal elections
President Obama is "frustrated" by the disastrous launch of an online computer marketplace for Obamacare, the White House says. Here are five reasons why frustration isn´t enough. He should be frightened.1. It´s worse than his team has let on. The White House has tried to position the failed first days of Obamacare as mere "glitches" caused by the site´s popularity. An administration spokesman told the Washington Post on Sunday that the "main driver of the problem is volume." That is intentionally misleading. The White House has heard complaints from insurance companies, consumers, and health policy experts about issues embedded deeply
President Obama´s long-winded speech in defense of his health care reform nearly put one audience member to sleep, with a guest standing directly behind the President almost fainting as he continued to drone on for nearly 30 minutes. A young woman, who appeared to be pregnant, dressed in a bright red frock stood at attention behind the President during his Rose Garden remarks, smiling brightly during much of the address. But Obama´s verbosity got the best of her — and she nearly toppled over, seemingly a result of the bright D.C. sun. She began to appear lightheaded, blinking several times
New concerns are being raised about so-called ObamaCare "navigators" following a string of reports about the questionable backgrounds of those selected to guide Americans through what is shaping up to be a rocky roll-out of the health care law. The concerns come on top of the drama over the HealthCare.gov site itself, which is the main federal hub for would-be participants and has been riddled with technical problems. The "navigators" are outreach workers, funded by federal taxpayer dollars, who are supposed to help people sign up for coverage. The Daily Caller reported earlier this week that one "enrollment assister" in Lawrence, Kan.,
