In entire court term,
justices see 1 black lawyer

Associated Press, by Mark Sherman

WASHINGTON — In roughly 75 hours of arguments at the Supreme Court since October, only one African-American lawyer appeared before the justices, and for just over 11 minutes. The numbers were marginally better for Hispanic lawyers. Four of them argued for a total of 1 hour, 45 minutes. Women were better represented, accounting for just over 17 percent of the arguments before the justices. In an era when three women, a Hispanic and an African-American sit on the court and white men constitute a bare majority of the nine justices, the court is more diverse

How about of we just declare that if you are white, all laws no longer apply.

Why does any of this matter? Maybe it is the Supreme Court Justices are racist, and only take cases that have white lawyers. /s off

Well then, let´s rustle up some of the unemployed millions Obama has created, give them a few online courses, et VOILA - lawyers! Some of them are bound to be black.

Just waive the BAR exam like you waived ObamaCare for liberla unions and other liberal groups and the problem will be fixed.

The solution to this terrible injustice is clear to me.
The U.S. Supreme Court should grant review only to cases that meet the quotas for blacks, hispanics, and women as counsel.
Forget the content of the cases. Color of skin and plumbing are more important.

Perhaps the only value to an Obama Presidency is that the need for quotas, set-asides, and other affirmative action dogma can now be questioned.

The great pro-pigment social experiment has failed, and Obama is the poster boy for that failure.

By the time a plaintiff gets to the Supreme Court they want a lawyer who is not an Affirmative Action graduate.

Affirmative Action taints blacks who have earned their credentials as there is no foolproof way of distinguishing who is or is not a slacker pushed through on the basis of skin color.

National Jurist reports that blacks have a failure rate on state bar exams approaching 35 percent - the worst of any ethnic/racial group. (Five percent failure for whites.) If you get a pass your entire life simply because of your skin color, at some point you hit an objective measure of competence and you fail miserably. That is the story of blacks. Until such time as all objective measures of competence are eliminated, unqualified individuals will eventually be discovered to be unqualified individuals. Every white shoe firm (no pun intended) in the country is scrambling to hire licensed black attorneys. They are hard to find. A white friend of mine has a distinctly black last name and could only get into a majority black law school in the south. He was flown to major cities up and down the eastern seaboard and interviewed at all the big name firms -- until they discovered he was white.

Natural gas prices, up more than 45% year-to-date on cold weather demand and slumping supplies, surged 11% Wednesday, hitting their highest levels since 2009. The price on contracts for March delivery jumped to $6.22 per million British thermal units in early trading before settling at $6.15 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was the highest price since late 2009. Behind the run-up: expectations that the cold weather that´s plagued the Midwest and Northeast and parts of other regions since December will linger, keeping demand high. Alexandria, Virginia - Ruthanne Lodato´s killer announced himself with a knock at the door. He waited on the porch, standing beside the American flag that hangs outside the house, and when the 59-year-old music teacher answered he shot her to death in her own hallway. The man then turned the gun on her elderly mother´s caretaker, wounding her before walking down the garden path and back onto the street. Mrs Lodato´s murder, committed seemingly at random and in broad daylight at 11.30am, would on its own be enough to unsettle the city of Alexandria, a wealthy suburb of Washington DC.

Workers at VW´s factory in Chattanooga, Tennessee, last Friday voted against representation by the United Auto Workers union (UAW), rejecting efforts by VW representatives to set up a German-style works council at the plant.
