WASHINGTON — One of three college students arrested Wednesday in the Boston Marathon bombings case was allowed to return to the United States from Kazakhstan in January despite not having a valid student visa, a federal law enforcement official told The Associated Press.(Snip)Federal authorities on Wednesday arrested three college friends of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a bombing suspect, including Azamat Tazhayakov, a friend and classmate of Tsarnaev´s at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Tazhayakov left the U.S. in December and returned Jan. 20. But in early January, his student-visa status was terminated because he was academically dismissed from the university,

U.S. Customs and Border Protection admits it was unaware he was no longer in school when he was let back in.

Surprised?

I fear that rather than a failure to connect the dots, we have a refusal to connect the dots because the connection doesn´t favor a political agenda.

My concern is: HOW many others are here?
Who is next?
I suggest a thorough search of every college and University in the USA with foreign students. Verify their passports and visa starting yesterday.

The government has all sorts of laws and regulations regarding foreign students, but they are not worth a hill of beans when you have a liberal administration running Homeland Security that simply allows aliens by the millions to walk right into the USA, because there is no indication that the aliens pose a national security of public safety threat.

That´s not the way the immigration laws are supposed to be administered and enforced. Aliens who come here as foreign students are non-immigrants who are only supposed to be allowed to stay in the USA if they are abiding by all the foreign student regulations, and primary to all that is that the aliens are full time students attending the school that they were admitted to the country to attend.

This liberal administration does not enforce the immigration laws and regulations and simply allows non compliant aliens to stay here and do what they wish, until they commit some serious crime, and only then do they become eligible to be considered for removal from the USA as an exception to the essentially de-facto amnesty that the administration has decided to put in place for just about any alien who makes it into the USA.

The bottom line is Obama acts when congress fails to act, thereby enforcing his own law while ignoring and making a dead letter of duly passed and signed laws such as DOMA and the immigration laws which he refuses to enforce. If other branches of government do not soon assert their power the shredding of the constitution will be complete. All the power of government is directed to controlling not protecting the citizens. Millionaires and Billionaires means anyone who is not yet dependent on the government.

TSA is a friggin joke. Its an employment program for wannabe cops. Who have they ever saved from anything? But they enjoy using all the stuff they take from you. If your shampoo bottle is too big they´re happy to take it home and use it. Baggage handlers will steal from your suitcases. And customs officials are not much better. I came through customs 2 days ago and my line took about 30 minutes longer than other lines because the idiot in charge of that line was an idiot. but he was a minority. so all is well.

This is Chicago business as usual....

I mean by that -- the politicians in Chicago hire political cronies -- called patronage workers to fill prominent positions in the goooooberment. They are usually not qualified -- but -- they are valuable to the politicians -- so WE the people of Chicago -- in most cases Illinois -- have to deal with incompetence. If WE complain -- suddenly the "inspectors" are at our door to check for violations.

I believe most of obama´s appointees fall in that category which explains the failures coming at US from all sides. That includes obamacare, Benghazi, Boston Bombing and I suspect the southern border....

The "real" politicians in DC have to be on their guard and protect US from obama as much as they can till WE can get rid of him and his ilk....

We must not look to this administration to keep America safe. Their only goal is furthering their agenda. They have proved this by their ongoing failure to secure our borders and enforce present immigration laws. Obama and his administration will accept more collateral damage as a price they are willing to pay in order to fundamentally change this country.

When fundamental Christians are tagged as extremists and Muslims are a protected class, bad things are going to happen. Anyone with a brain knows there is only one major religion that encourages murder and that is Islam. Obama said he will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. The ugly direction I believe to which he is referring is any scrutiny of Muslims by the government. DHS understands this and acts accordingly.

Our country needs to 1) Halt all immigration from Muslim nations. 2) Round up all 15000 people here on a student visa who are not in school. 3) Make all students here on a visa put up $5000 in escrow to pay for their ticket back home the minute they stop going to school. 4) Fine all colleges one million dollars for each violation of not informing Immigration when a student here on visa goes missing. 5) No welfare entitlements for any immigrant until they have been in this country without a criminal record for at least 10 years.

A young couple (married) that I know went to work in the Middle East. They had to prove that they were married -- papers from the officiant at the ceremony, the town, the county, the state, and the US Department of State (no less)...all grommeted together as only the Middle Eastern paperpushers require.

Until this paper was in hand, the husband had to leave the country or face a $500/day fine.

Why can´t we have rules too?

I am utterly disgusted with INS.

We have a horrid organization called the TSA; they are ignorant and arrogant handlers of our security; they have no common sense, and they do nothing to make Americans safer. Rather they create long suffering lines for the travelers, and they are paid way too much. Now we learn that we give welfare to terrorists, we let them freely leave and enter our country, and we give them more rights than our US citizens, and when they are part of a plot to kill us, we hire them expensive lawyers. Golly, when are we going to put grown ups in charge again? Janet, do you have a handle on any of this?

FTA: The disclosure was another instance of possible lapses by the federal government in the months before the Boston bombings.

The Obama years will forever be known for their lapses. I just hope we actually see an end to the Obama years, and I just hope we are still the America in which I was born.

I don´t want to wish my life away, but I´m ready for January 21, 2017, and a new, very-conservative President who has won in a landslide. I hope he has a bunch of bills the new Republican Congress has passed since they were sworn in on January 2, 2017, which he can sign before the traditional lunch after the Inauguration, and that every one of them reverses everything Obama tried to do to destroy our country and its values.

Maybe, if we are lucky, Joe Biden will be the president between now and then because Obama was impeached. I know Biden is a fool and a clown, but I think he is a real American and does care about the country. I just don´t see how we are going to survive until 2016 if we don´t see some real testosterone in the Republican Party soon.

C´mon, give DHS a break. Due to the Sequester they had to allocate resources based on the Obama administration´s priorities, so most of DHS´s personnel were investigating Evangelical Christians, the NRA, anti-abortion activists, Benghazi conspiracy theorists and other right-wing groups who Obama, Holder, Napolitano and ValJar consider to be the REAL threat, rather than "protecting us from enemies, both foreign and domestic".

Besides, once they removed “jihadist”, “Islamism”, “terrorist”, “illegal alien” and other applicable – but politically incorrect – words and phrases from the DHS lexicon, what did you think would happen?

Obama is pushing a big time political agenda through his "immigration reform and "path to citizenship" initiatives.

Obama knows that the wimpy Republicans are spooked because only about 27% of the so-called Hispanic vote went their way. As a result, the liberal Democrats have introduced their "whole enchilada" amnesty in the Congress and hope that the Republicans will cave, believing that Hispanics will love them for giving the liberal Democrats political cover to pass a massive amnesty and "path to citizenship" for 11 to 20 million illegal aliens, the vast majority of who would eventually register as Democrat voters.

All that is fool´s gold for the Republicans, whose share of the Hispanic vote may go up a couple of percentage points, while at the same time the Democrats would eventually pick up tens of millions of new foreign born social oriented voters. The Republicans would be committing long-term political suicide if they facilitated that.

What a country...the president is suspected of being a foreigner and therefore illegally occupying the job he now holds...the senior members of the democratic party know he is illegal but it suits their agenda so they are also guilty of perpetrating the fraud, the head of the justice dept. violates the law at every turn and the president excuses him with executive privilege, the EPA´s entire structure is insisting on over regulating the country into impotence, the homeland security head could not find her ample butt with both hands and constantly lies almost as much as the president to cover up their stupidity and incompetence, the TSA are a bunch of useless dodo´s who couldn´t find a ´terrorist´ if he carried his picture with ´terrorist´ on his chest, the speaker of the democratic senate has more shady deals than a card dealer in a slut house, the former sec. of state lies with impunity but very badly and you can see her lips move, the new sec. of state (says he served in Vietnam) and is an accomplished liar and as anti Military as they come. Lied about his purple hearts, his medical records and his original discharge from the Navy for conferring with the North Vietnamese and Vietcong, the health secretary issues morning after pills to children 15 years old, our school system cranks out kids that can´t read, write or count beyond their fingers and toes,... everything else is rapidly roaring down hill...Do I sound disappointed and bitter? (Snip) They are investigating the case under Section 130C of the Penal Code, which deals with hijacking, terrorism and sabotage offences, as well as the Security Offences (Special Measures) and Aviation Offences Acts. WASHINGTON — Stepping into a heated debate within the nation’s intelligence agencies, President Obama has decided that when the National Security Agency discovers major flaws in Internet security, it should — in most circumstances — reveal them to assure that they will be fixed, rather than keep mum so that the flaws can be used in espionage or cyberattacks, senior administration officials said Saturday. But Mr. Obama carved a broad exception for “a clear national security or law enforcement need,” the officials said, a loophole that is likely to allow the N.S.A. to continue to exploit security flaws both to crack

LAS VEGAS -- The Bureau of Land Management has announced it will stop the roundup of cattle owned by rancher Cliven Bundy. The BLM says the animals have been illegally grazing on public lands for 20 years. The BLM made the announcement Saturday morning, a week after rangers started gathering the animals from land near Gold Butte. The agency says it is concerned about the safety of its employees and the public. Earlier this week, BLM officers and supporters of the Bundy family were involved in a scuffle. Cliven Bundy´s son, Ammon Bundy, was tased twice by federal agents. Another woman said

In a profile of Press Secretary Jay Carney appearing in the magazine Washingtonian Mom, this photo of the loving family appears:(Snip for photo)Cute, isn’t it? But, as savvy Twitter users noticed almost immediately, the picture is photoshopped, and not very well at that. The right side of the book case is a mirror image of the left, which poses a slight problem. A problem I like to call “disembodied finger of a child floating in air”! It’s a common photoshop mistake:

ORLAND, Calif. – A tractor-trailer already was on fire as it came across a median and crashed into a tour bus, killing 10 people, according to a couple whose car was sideswiped by the big rig. Joe and Bonnie Duran were driving a sedan northbound on the 5 Freeway on Thursday when they said a FedEx truck heading south careened toward them, struck their rental car and crashed into the oncoming bus carrying high school students from Southern California. (Snip)Bonnie Duran, who was driving, told KNBC-TV in Los Angeles that flames were coming from the lower rear of the truck cab.

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
