The Obama administration has insisted from the start that there was no help available for the Americans under assault in Benghazi on September 11. The first in three exclusive reports alleging that that claim is false aired on tonight’s Special Report. Because the special operator in the video above is fearful of reprisal, his identity was concealed. The man, who watched the events unfold and has debriefed those who were part of the response, told Fox News’ Adam Housley that the C110 special forces group “was doing a training exercise not in the region of Northern
Comments: I´m so glad to see Fox is not letting this story die. Those families and all American people deserve answers to what really happened. I´m also glad there are brave people who refuse to be muzzled by this dangerous, corrupt regime.
If our special ops soldiers are afraid of speaking out about Obama´s abandonment of Americans in Benghazi, then we no longer have a special operations force. Reason: If our elite forces know that Obama will abandon them during a mission, then they will not go on that mission. Would anyone be willing to risk his life and his family´s future knowing that our president, his cabinet officers and his military commanders will refuse to send help if the mission is in jeopardy?
Amen to #´s 2&3. Unfortunately, even our own criminals have learned to play like the old KGB. Any informant risks not only their life, but those of their loved ones. It´s going to take some very brave patriots to help us get out of this mess. We have got to get back to the values that made the country the envy of the world.
It is past time for this administration to finally take responsibility for their complete failure in this matter. American lives were lost due to their incompetency and utter disregard for the safety of those under their command. This is not something to be lightly brushed away. Men died because of their indifference to the danger their fellow Americans were facing. This is not who we are as a people.
The Gosnell trial has shown the left is willing to butcher babies to get rid of the "inconveniences of life". We, therefore, should not be surprised with their utter disregard for these men´s lives because it would negatively impact the President´s political campaign. When you have this kind of mindset, you have lost all humanity.
The media isn´t tasked with either indictment or prosecution or judgement for this obvious set of inter-woven crimes. The people, for whom these traitors work, must insist their duly elected representatives, who are tasked with these actions, perform them. Or find new representatives.
So where is the loyal opposition? Other than throwing some softballs at then SoS Hillary during their Senate hearings - the Republican leadership has been strangely quiet.
And slightly OT but I really think that the George W Bush Administration knew where Osama was hiding and threw that bone to Obama so he could really be a successful first black president. A pox on all their houses.
Couple of minor points.. but important. There is a difference between having enough time to respond to the first attack and the second. As Rep Gowdy just mentioned on FNC.. how did they know at the time how long the fight would go on?? A decision was made to stand down and then to try to cover it up. It took a lot of kitty litter to cover this mess, too.
Obama went to bed because he could really care less about anyone but himself. Hillary has proven over and over again, she is just as incompetent. Dangerous though, because the libs still hold her in high regard because she´s married to their all time hero. They have both proven to be liars and users. I wouldn´t be surprised to see the WH start to place most of the blame on Hillary. There is no love lost in those 2 camps, and we know where the power lies right now. If he goes down, bet he will take her with him. Now that would be a good day!
IMHO everyone is missing the point. It never was a question of if the US could muster assets, of course we could (and the administration knew we could)! The question is; what was going on there the administration decided was more important to keep secret then the lives lost?
So many here and on other websites are now speaking of Impeachment. There are now several polls that show up asking the Question: Should Obama be Impeached? People are beginning to take notice as history hurls us down a path to destruction.
I can´t help but hear the famous song from my favorite Broadway play Les Miserables and it´s signature song,"Do you hear the people sing?"
Ironically, when I was in grade school, my English-teacher mother bought the Classic Commic BookLes Miserables and other classics for me to read when I was very ill. Since I could hardly hold my head up, my mother would read these "classics" to me while I followed the pictures. Les Miserables was my favorite story for some reason.
Each day I have a sense the "drums" of American patriotism are beating, and yes, we are angry and Obama should not be too smug.
Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men? It is the music of the people Who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes!
The most disgusting thing about this is that Hillary Clinton WILL be elected our next President because of low-info voters, fraud, and a corrupt media. I will bet my right on on it. Makes me sick. WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS...we have Ted Cruz, Troy Gowdy, Daryll Issa...Boehner needs to go retire somewhere and smoke himself to death. seriously. I used to respect him. I know you have to play games in DC, but come on.
Rupert Murdoch has helped save the world from ignorance of the truth. Fox News is one of our few bulwarks against the lies, distortions and conscious omissions of the LSM and the left which they support.
#24, I think you give Obama too much credit. Was the CIA operating out of there? Sure. But I don´t think it was any deep dark secret that caused Obama and Clinton to lower security levels in Libya prior to the terrorist assault, or to sit on their hands while it was going on. The gutting of security was an ideologically-driven decision to treat Libya as normalized; if they treated Benghazi as a war zone, that would mean Libya was not a normal country. The failure or refusal to respond on 9/11/12 was sheer deer-in-the-headlights incompetence of Clinton and Obama. The "YouTube" coverup was a despicable attempt to hide both failures. When that fell apart, the stonewall and the threats followed.
There is a piece of this that makes me pause. The witnesses that have not yet come forward. The usual reason given being threats from the administration. The men that gave their lives so that they may live didn´t ´worry´ about the threats they faced. They owe them no less in telling the truth.
If a wife goes missing and the husband fails to take prompt action, who is the first suspect in the subsequent murder investigation? After learning that his ambassador was under attack, Obama was as pro-active as the guilty husband. Al Qaeda? How about mercenaries?
I thought Glenn Doherty was on the ground in Benghazi when the attack took place. I did not know "seven men who were American reinforcements in Tripoli, along with Agent Glenn Doherty, commandeered a jet and flew to Benghazi." Where are the other 6 men? These men have a very interesting story to tell do they not?
We know very little about Benghazi because the Bamster and Hillary did not want us to know anything. After all it was the video´s fault. However, when those flag draped coffins were received at Dover, the look on Hillary´s face was very revealing. She knew she had been had. She looked physically sick. Not from grief or any emotion, but that she was in deep trouble. Obama didn´t look so hot either, but he managed to recover a lot sooner than she did. Once he won/stole the election Hillary just knew if she could hold off Congress a little she was home free. Then Petraeus resigned. Now no one believes anyone. Impeachement would solve the problem immediately.
Special Ops people are a special breed and willing to put their lives in danger in the most unbelievable ways. They will no longer do the job anymore if there is no country to support. I can´t say I blame them. They must have support at home in many ways. They are losing their military and governmental support. Why would they do this anymore? There is no country to save. No ideal......nothing.
The only person in prison for the Benghzai massacre is an Old Coptic Christian man in Los Angeles for making that silly anti-muslim video. I wonder in they are beating this poor man, and keeping him naked in a cold cell like the NKVD did in the Lubliana prison in Stalin´s Russia? Since Barry is a muslim I am sure that he would not mind if more Christians were looked up in Los Angeles prisons and more muslim Chechen refugees were allowed to settle in America.
#36 yes..exactly she looked positively ill.I mentioned this to several friends and they agreed that this was a look from someone who was afraid....I hope she is not sleeping very well these recent nights..
My understanding is that an AC-130 was gassed up and on the tarmac in Tripoli and permission to engage at Benghazi was never given. The AC could have been there in a half hour or less and lit up the night. That would have sent the right message. Instead, we sent the message that Mrs Clinton was more interested in getting to Hawaii and the President was more interested in golf. What ever muslims gare to do is ok in the current administration´s bok.
We have to see what comes out of all this. Impeachment talk is premature at this point.
Perhaps Hill-err-ee-ass Herself will be damaged. She should be. That doesn´t mean she will.
The Ministry of Propaganda may play a huge role in determining where this goes. If it gets really juicy and has legs... will the salivating wolves be able to resist a chance to wreck some careers?
The media are whores. If the Bammy Free Ride is over, or nearly so, the new fun thing to do may be to rip holes in Bammy and see what happens. Hill-err-ee-ass, the Wannabe First Lesbian, would merely be some collateral damage.
Remember that the Media Ho model is to write books, make movies, pin a POTUS pelt on the wall if you can run him out of town on a rail... or tar and feather.
Due to the Dog Whistle effect, it´s going to take a lot to put Bammy in Media Ho crosshairs. They don´t want to be seen as racists lynching the first half black POTUS.
On the other hand, if it all stinks too much... anything goes... and it´s every thug for himself. (Nation be damned, of course.)
According to most accounts, Chris Stevens and Sean Smith died in the first attack. Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods died when a mortar round struck their position on a rooftop during the second, prolonged attack on the annex. [Do you realize what damage a mortar round exploding close-by can do to the human body? Now you know why what was in the caskets was described as "human remains."]
Obama is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the deaths of Doherty and Woods.
Hillary Clinton is directly or indirectly responsible for all four deaths plus the loss of our activities in and around Benghazi.
Their "performance" must be viewed as at least CRIMINAL INCOMPETENCE. And it must be dealt with as such.
And this was promised but they couldn´t get permits to ....yatah yatah yatah, ect.
Welcome to Germany 1937. I never saw a thing, did you?
Nothing will happen until someone has the brass to stand up to this (fill in the blank) and tell it like it is. Yes, we´re in the worst trouble in our history. Yes, this SOB wants to pull our great nation down. What are we gonna do? Something has to be DONE!! I´ve only got one mag left for my Thompson (legal) so I´m no help.
Now, some one do something!! Platitudes don´t work any more. Don´t you understand?
Why don´t you just go ahead and arrest those who will testify about Benghazi, place them in chains and black hoods, line them up on the White House lawn, call everyone in the press all over the world to set up live video, and then simply shoot each one of the Benghazi testifiers in the head? Not one thing will happen to you if you did. In fact, 51 percent of Americans would love you no matter what. And, leg tingler Chris will scream with delight along with Jon, Ed, Wolf, at al that these Christian white hatemongers won´t be pushing their Juses agenda on us any more. The ONLY flack you would get is maybe Mitch McConnel who´ll say he´s "troubled" by your actions. Shoot Mitch might even throw in a Tom Daschle "concerned" to make himself even more pathetic. This whole Benghazi "thing" would then be over and your poll numbers would skyrocket. The country is thousands of miles past the point where you doing this could possibly be a negative, so what the heck? Just do what you and the rest of the Alinsky grads want to do anyway. Be as honest as Saul. Don´t just dedicate a book to Satan, dedicate your presidency to him. Go all the way, man.
Call me doubting sikup. Having been in the military, and having been on many deployments during that duty period, I understand the logistics that goes with any deployment - large and small. That said, this small contingent, given that their job is to be prepared to move fast and as well-oiled as they probably are, would still have had to have been ready to rock - every chip would have had to fall just the right way to board a fast plane in a flash and arrive at that firefight, coming out swinging in 4 to 6 hours as this source says. Maybe 12 hours but not 4 to 6. I just don´t believe it is possible. Just my $0.02
President Obama has recalled John Podesta to work at the White House as a “counselor.” Podesta is the Clinton hand who founded the far-left Center for American Progress (home of the clownish Think Progress blog). Podesta’s appointment, which needs no congressional approval, comes at a time when Obama is already making moves to do without Congress. He has used executive actions to re-write Obamacare, and to recalibrate immigration law, both in ways that just happen to favor either himself or the Democrats. The New York Times reports that Podesta will work on executive actions when he returns to the White
On CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday, new host Brian Stelter turned to President Obama the press critic. At the end of his cakewalk “Hardball” interview last week, Obama called out the media for being divisive. “The American people are good and they are decent. And yes, we get very divided partly because our politics and our media specifically tries to divide them and splinter them.” Stelter asked a decent question about whether that was an odd statement to make on divisive MSNBC. NPR television critic Eric Deggans shot that down, insisting MSNBC was a “great place” to attack cable news
Former CIA Director Leon Panetta revealed classified information at a 2011 awards ceremony attended by Zero Dark Thirty filmmaker Mark Boal, according to documents obtained by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch. The CIA allowed Boal, the screenwriter of Zero Dark Thirty, to attend a June 24, 2011 award ceremony celebrating the successful raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan that May. A transcript of Panetta’s speech that night obtained by Judicial Watch is labeled “top secret,” and significant portions of it are redacted. At the conclusion his speech, Panetta told the audience, “You have made me proud
UPDATE: Rep. Paul Ryan and Sen. Patty Murray unveiled a budget proposal Tuesday night. The proposal, which has yet to be voted on, busts through sequester caps, setting FY 2014 spending at $1.014 trillion — billions beyond the levels mandated by sequester. The proposal contains no mention of pension reform. Conservatives had better start paying attention to the budget battle raging in Washington: If things go south — and they are poised to do just that — the tea party’s single greatest policy victory, the sequester, could be destroyed. And worse yet, it could be destroyed in exchange for nothing. The sequester
Approval of ObamaCare in the United States has risen eight percentage points in the last month, according to a new poll. Thirty-nine percent of people now approve of the law, according to a CBS News/New York Times poll released Tuesday evening. Half of the public, by contrast, disapproves of ObamaCare, the poll found. Nearly 60 percent say they don’t think the sign-up process for ObamaCare is going well, but more than one-third say it’s improving. These figures come in just ten days after the administration touted the repaired federal portal for the insurance, HealthCare.gov. Obama’s general job approval rating has increased to 42 percent,
Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), in an appearance on MSNBC´s "PoliticsNation" on Friday, condemned former Sen. Rick Santorum´s comments comparing Nelson Mandela´s fight against apartheid to the fight against Obamacare as "shameful." "And actually if I was going to make a comparison, I would make the opposite comparison, because I think the struggle for justice, which Nelson Mandela led for so many years is similar as the struggle for the health care as a right for people in the richest country in the world, and so the idea that they would make that comparison in the opposite way is just tragic,"
According to a new Rasmussen Report, the majority of Americans do not believe the deportation of illegal immigrants living in the United States is aggressive enough. More than 20 House Democrats last week urged President Obama to halt the deportation of illegal immigrants until Congress passes a comprehensive immigration reform plan, but voters by a two-to-one margin oppose that idea. Most already think the federal government is not vigilant enough in deporting those who are in this country illegally. Only 29% of Likely U.S. Voters think the government should stop deporting illegal immigrants until Congress passes an immigration reform plan.
Twitchy, the conservative Twitter aggregation site, has been sold for an undisclosed amount to Salem Communications, the Christian radio conglomerate and owners of Hotair.com and Townhall.com. Jonathan Garthwaite, general manager and editor-in-chief of Townhall.com, confirmed the news to BuzzFeed Tuesday, saying he was “excited” to be folding Twitchy into existing Salem news properties. “Media Matters types would like to paint conservatives as boring, old white guys,” Garthwaite said. “Twitchy adds more fun and humor to our platform, which will appeal to totally different generation and break that stereotype.” Launched in March 2012, Twitchy was the brainchild of conservative author and
In a visit to NR’s New York office, Senator Ron Johnson said the fight against Obamacare is entering a new phase: “We’ve got to start talking about transitioning.” Johnson won his Senate seat in 2010 based in large part on his fierce opposition to Obamacare, which he still adamantly opposes as an assault on Americans’ liberty and criticizes in the harshest terms (look no further than his recent weekly radio address). But simple repeal is no longer enough, he believes. He says that Republicans have to acknowledge that the law now exists. “How do you repeal?” he asks. “Yeah, you
President Obama´s appointment of Democratic adviser John Podesta, an opponent of the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline, to the White House could foretell a rejection of the controversial Canada-to-Texas pipeline, environmental groups said Tuesday. Podesta, former President Bill Clinton´s chief of staff and the man who headed Obama´s transition team, is leaving the top post of the Center for American Progress, a left-leaning think tank, for a new White House role focusing on climate change. Obama has vowed to lead an active White House on the issue — the president said in June he would rely on his executive authority to
President Obama is still holding back on firing anyone for the disastrous first two months of the Obamacare roll-out and instead is adding key staff to help steer a smoother course next year. While critics are still calling for heads to roll, some Republicans say Obama´s decision to bring in two well-known Washington players to help right the ship shows he´s serious about shaking up his second-term strategy and execution. Senators on both sides of the aisle are praising the prospect of Obama tapping veteran Democratic strategist John Podesta, a former chief of staff for President Bill Clinton. This week,
MSNBC anchor and NBC News political director and chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd lashed out at Fox News for what he described as "pandering to an audience" over their coverage of President Obama´s enthusiastic handshake with Cuban dictator Raul Castro at Tuesday´s memorial service for Nelson Mandela. Chuck Todd ? @chucktodd Follow Really? An entire segment on a handshake? Good grief; pandering to an audience 10:37 AM - 10 Dec 2013 The irony of an MSNBC anchor accusing another network of pandering to their audience requires no explanation. Todd joins CNN, Politico´s Dylan Byers, and a number of other
On his way to the podium at the memorial ceremony for former South African president Nelson Mandela, President Obama walked down the line of dignitaries, greeting other leaders there to pay their respects. Among the hands shaken: that of Cuban leader Raul Castro. Obama neither made a special effort to shake Castro’s hand nor to avoid him. A snub might have been awkward: In his speech, Obama praised Mandela’s “greatest gift” as “his recognition that we are all bound together in ways that can be invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity; that we achieve ourselves by
The Obama State Department has finally released a second round of photos revealing the harrowing devastation wrought by a terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012. The new photographs depict rampant damage to the consulate. They show charred walls, smoldering fires, Arabic graffiti defacing exterior walls, and scattered debris throughout. The extent of the damage would lead any reasonably serious person to conclude that this was a cold, calculated attack, carefully coordinated to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately for the American people, the Obama-Clinton-Rice cabal that led to the Benghazi cover-up was
A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned. Taj Patterson, 22, was headed home to Fort Greene around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he says more than a dozen ultra-Orthodox Jewish men began assaulting him on Flushing Ave. and yelling, “Stay down, f----t!”
A “presidential selfie” featuring President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service began making the rounds this morning, but it’s the person not included in the frame who caught everyone’s attention: As anyone with two eyes and a Twitter account has noticed, Michelle Obama does not appear amused. Of course, though a picture says a thousand words, not all of those words are necessarily true. FLOTUS might not have even known the photo was taking place. Or she could disapprove of funeral selfies. Either way.
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? In an interview with Playboy, Ben Affleck said, "When I watch a guy [on film] I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him": PLAYBOY: You developed a political profile campaigning for presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. How did that come about? AFFLECK: I grew up in a house with a mother who was a teacher and a Freedom Rider—very left-wing Democrats living in a heterogeneous working-class neighborhood. I picked up a lot of those values there, and I
MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry opened her program over the weekend with a commentary about the Affordable Care Act’s colloquial moniker: “Obamacare.” She said that the word was originally created as a “derogatory term,” designed by white men as a way to delegitimize President Barack Obama and his achievement. However, she said that the term will soon be synonymous with all of Obama’s accomplishments and she urged her audience to use the term with pride. “I want to talk today about a controversial word. It’s a word that has been with us for years, and like it or not, it’s indelibly
Barack Obama has arrived in South Africa to lead the American delegation at a memorial service for former South African President Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg. But his party is reportedly stuck in traffic and he is said to have arrived late at the stadium for the ceremony. [Snip] But Mr Clinton, Mr Carter and his wife Rosalynn have all traveled separately to the event. According to reports, Mr Obama and his delegation are stuck in a lines of traffic caused by tens of thousands of people making their way to the event. Mr Obama is among the foreign leaders who
President Obama, former president George W. Bush and their wives departed Washington Monday morning on Air Force One on their way to a memorial service in South Africa for Nelson Mandela. The president and first lady Michelle Obama are being accompanied by Mr. Bush, former first lady Laura Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on the flight to Johannesburg. A four-hour memorial service will be held on Tuesday for South Africa’s first black president. Mr. Mandela, the anti-apartheid revolutionary, died on Thursday at age 95. Former President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea are traveling separately to South Africa. Former President
President Obama will make remarks on Nelson Mandela´s legacy during a memorial service Tuesday for the late South African freedom fighter, officials said Monday. "We do expect President Obama to speak as part of the program," said Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser for strategic communications. The president and first lady Michelle Obama departed Monday for Johannesburg, where a Mandela memorial service will be held in a soccer stadium. Obama, who will also spend time with the Mandela family, is not scheduled to hold any bilateral meetings with foreign leaders while in South Africa, Rhodes said. Rhodes also said the
All three networks on Monday morning highlighted the appearance of the Obamas at the Kennedy Center Honors, but only ABC fawned over "fashion win" of First Lady. Lara Spencer enthused that " one of the stars of the show was Michelle Obama." An excited Spencer explained that Mrs. Obama looked "absolutely ravishing in a flowing teal gown as she accompanied President Obama." The co-host declared, "Another big fashion win for the First Lady. CBS This Morning offered a full report on the various performers who were honored, but co-anchor Charlie Rose avoided ABC´s superlatives.
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell believes the United States should have a socialized, single-payer healthcare system similar to those in Canada and Europe. “I think universal health care is one of the things we should really be focused on, and I hope that will happen,” Powell reportedly said last week. “Whether it’s Obamacare, or son of Obamacare, I don’t care. As long as we get it done.” The Puget Sound Business Journal reported Powell´s remarks at the Prostate Cancer Survivors Celebration Breakfast at the University of Washington´s Cancer Research Center. Powell, the Republican who supported Barack Obama during the last two presidential
President Barack Obama is bringing his family of aides and advisors down to South Africa for Nelson Mandela’s mass-media send-off. “For us it’s the President and the First Lady, the Attorney General [Eric Holder], Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett,” Ben Rhodes, the White House’ deputy national security advisor for strategic communications, told reporters during an impromptu press conference on Air Force One. Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry are staying behind, but former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was on board Air Force One as well. The memorial is expected to be attended by hundreds of world
