Immigration Bill Contains ´MarcoPhones´
Breitbart´s Big Government, by Matthew Boyle

Original Article

The 844-page immigration reform bill the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” dropped in the dead of night contains a lucrative handout that would give taxpayer-funded free cell phones to some people who live or work near the U.S. border with Mexico. Pages 43 and 44 of the bill detail what one conservative blogger, Javier Manjarres of Shark Tank, has already described as the “ObamaPhone” from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). That section reads: SEC. 1107. ACCESS TO EMERGENCY PERSONNEL. (a) SOUTHWEST BORDER REGION EMERGENCY COM- MUNICATIONS GRANTS.— (1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary, in consultation with the governors of the

It breaks my heart to see Sen. Rubio behave like just another Washington politician. I thought he was going to be different.

Stop with these long, expensive bills that give away our hard earned money. Close the borders tightly and then we can discuss a program for the illegals already here.

I´ve had my doubts about Rubio all along but he´s miles ahead of Charlie "Turncoat Tuna" Crist. His strategy is to walk a fine line between the RINOs and conservatives.

As another poster said recently, when it became clear Rubio was in close with Jeb Bush, we could have predicted much of what he is now doing. Romney did everything the Republican power brokers told him to do and we all ended up losing. This ambitious Senator is going down the same path. What other $$$$ surprises await us in this bill, Senator Rubio?

I must disagree with an earlier poster about this being the end of the Republican party. No but it is the end of Rubio´s bid for the W.H.

As I saw somewhere earlier today, does anybody think Harry Reid is going to pass through a senate he controls an Immigration Bill that HELPs Republicans. The House will talk this Bill to death if it even makes it out of the senate. Then we get to see Obama Really Really Mad. Make my day.

I heard Rubio on Mark Levin´s program tonight, and although I love Mark, he clearly has a soft spot for his friend and allowed Rubio to fast-talk and basically filibuster his way through the twenty or so minutes of that segment. Levin despises the whole attempt at immigration reform and would have cut down anyone else who consorts with the hated Schumer and Durbin. Rubio sounded like a naive fool and could have been taken to task by any number of hard questions, but Mark proffered only a couple of the easier ones. Oh well, eventually it will hit the fan and Rubio will lose his fair haired status.

This so-called immigration reform bill is in reality a loaded up liberal Democrat wish list that is bound to hand the Democrats 20 million or so new voters in the years ahead. If the Republicans don´t kill it, they will be committing long-term political suicide.

That does not mean that the Republicans can´t come up with their own bill that is limited to granting long time illegal aliens a conditional status that allows them to live and work in the USA indefinitely, with the ability for them to travel back and forth to their home country, as long as they obey US law, but with no ability to bring foreign family members here, or to access the social welfare programs. If those aliens then wish to become permanent residents (green card holders) in the future, they should first have to qualify for an immigrant visa under the regular immigration laws just as all legal immigrants must now do, that is only fair.

The most important enforcement aspect that should be up and running before any legalization program starts is an enhanced mandatory employee verification system to keep future illegal aliens using bogus ID out of US jobs. That system must be underpinned by a modern social security card bearing a photo, other biometric identifiers, and instant electronic verification capability. That along with effective enforcement would stop most future illegal immigration by taking away the US job magnet.

When an expectant mother visits her doctor for an ultrasound, the doctor invariably asks: Do you want to know the sex of your child? The Obama administration, however, does not believe an unborn child has a sex — even when a doctor sees indisputable physical evidence. Obama´s Office of Personnel Management has published what it calls "Guidance Regarding the Employment of Transgender Individuals in the Workplace." This document speaks of "sex" as something a person has "assigned" to them only after they make it through the birth canal. At issue is what´s known as a "constitutional convention," a scenario tucked into Article V of the U.S. Constitution. At its core, Article V provides two ways for amendments to be proposed. The first – which has been used for all 27 amendment to date – requires two-thirds of both the House and Senate to approve a resolution, before sending it to the states for ratification. A RAND study pours buckets of cold water on the Obama administration’s claims that it has nearly reached 7 million sign-ups for Obamacare. The whole point of Obamacare, supposedly, was to insure the uninsured and bend the cost curve down. Those who had insurance were supposed to be able to keep it. Families were supposed to start saving about $2500 a year. If you believed the Obama administration. Reality, according to RAND‘s study, is that the Obama administration’s 7 million figure is deceptive. Supposing 7 million have actually signed up and paid their first premium — which is not a given,
