Boston Marathon bombings
present new test for Obama

Washington Examiner, by Brian Hughes

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 4/17/2013 6:01:37 AM

Authorities on Tuesday revealed little new information about the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon, the most high-profile bombing on U.S. soil in more than a decade and a tragedy that presents a new test for President Obama. Obama, like all Americans, is standing by, waiting for answers as to who planted two bombs improvised from pressure cookers at the finish line of the storied race, and why. Three Americans were killed in Monday´s attack and more than 170 others were injured. "Anytime bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror," Obama said,

Comments:
Yeah, the test being how to convince us that he´s won the war on terror around the world.

I don´t see this as much of a test for Obama unless they find out who the culprit(s) are.

We know the left would rather exploit this politically rather than get to the bottom of it. It wouldn´t surprise me at all if some leftists were sitting around a table brainstorming on how it can be laid at the feet of right wingers. They´ll come up with an accusation, eventually.

Agreed #3, the people who hold the reins of power today will protect the enemy and use any excuse to persecute patriotic Americans. It is sick and sad, but that´s where we are.

A man who was mentored and taught by an unrepentant domestic terrorist is going to solve this? Seems like a non-starter.

Hat tip to Sagman.

Boston bombing debriefing at the White House

MCDONOUGH (chief of staff): Mr. President, some IEDs exploded at the Boston Marathon today.

OBAMA: Exploding IEDs? Say, is that one of my new contraceptive devices?

MCDONOUGH: No Mr. President, bombs placed in trash barrels, most likely terrorism...

CARNEY: ... an act of terror ...

NAPOLITANO: ... a man-made disaster ...

OBAMA: A conservative plot, I see. Did I catch who did it?

MCDONOUGH: No sir, the sequester prevented you.

BIDEN: I´ve heard that Boston has some very swank hotels.

NAPOLITANO: We´re going to station TSA agents at every garbage can.

OBAMA: Any casualties? I could use a few deaths, especially children.

MCDONOUGH: Three deaths, one an 8 year old boy.

OBAMA: Not great, but good enough. Tell Reggie to pack his bags, we´re going to Boston.

CARNEY: I´ll be sure to tell the press that it´s the fault of Bush, the sequester, the GOP, Montana militia groups, the Japanese tsunami, the Tea Party, and the constitution.

MCDONOUGH: The memorial is scheduled for Wednesday, sir.

OBAMA: Wednesday? I´ve got golf on Wednesday. Have them move it to Thursday.

#3 says it all. Obama will tell the lo-fo voters that he will bring those to justice who committed such a terrible act bla, bla, bla then he will just forget about it. HE will go off campaigning for gun control and amnesty and continue playing golf and basketball with Reggie Love. As his buddy Bill Ayers said at the University of Oregon American is over the left has won.

Well, well, well, the Mullatto Marxist is now willing to let it be known that President Bush was right about something - that´s a big step for Barry. When there´s a tax revolt, I wonder what he´ll say or will he just put us all in Joe Biden´s chains?

Obama: New York; Ft Hood; Benghazi; Boston. Get your Obama Terrorism Appeasement World tour tickets today! Bullet proof vest, tourniquets, ear plugs not included.

There´s something very suspicious about no one taking claim for the bombing? Since when? It gives Obama the chance to eat his cake and eat it too: He doesn´t have to take any action because culprit is supposedly unknown and could be a sampler of what is to come to justify declaring Martial Law or some other bizarre objective.

Is it possible for someone to take credit for a bombing and have it suppressed in media/information circles? Probably, especially with this administration.

Right to all above, same outcome as Benghazi. Yawn.

I agree obama´s buddies Aires and his bomb/throwing wife have a shared interest with our prez. They don´t care who gets hurt. It´s all a political agenda driven message.

Watch as he "runs" to the crisis and plays the victims ----- again and again and again....

As long as 0bama keeps our borders open, we will have people entering our country whenever they want. Terrorists can walk across our border along with thousands of illegals just wanting the free stuff he so freely offers. It is time to close America´s borders and make the US secure.

Hopefully this gets resolved soon. I hope it´s a Jihadi but knowing the amount of domestic anger brewing out here I won´t be surprised at whatever they find. Obama has been in a full out assault on our way of life. Whoever it was knew the basics of improvisation and, from the video, it appeared the blast was somewhat shaped. Let´s pray that the person(s) have no connection to what will be called "right wing" groups. Congress´ legs will turn to jelly in the gun control issue.

I just heard Rudy Giuliani say on FOX that a pressure cooker device was used by the Times Square bomber. If that´s the case, why weren´t security people on the lookout for similar types of bombs at the Boston Marathon? Why haven´t they been warning us to keep an eye out for objects like that? Pressure cookers are heavy. When they are filled with shrapnel, they are even heavier. Even if they were hidden inside backpacks, the weight would be evident--something no average person would be carrying around with them on the street.

When I go to the airport, I have to take minute quantities of liquids onboard because liquids can be used to make a bomb. I have to take off my shoes because my shoes could contain a bomb. Why in the world did Homeland Security believe that making a bomb from a pressure cooker would happen once and only once?

Big Sis warned us all that terror attacks on the US would increase if the Sequester budget cuts (that Zero signed into law) went through. After these horrific bombings, now she says the bombings in Boston aren´t part of a larger plot. The Wookie from the White House has warned us all that obese people are unhealthy, and I have to agree with her this one time. Big Sis has an addled brain and she needs to shed pounds to think clearly.

If this isn´t part of a larger plot, then why all the yellow tape and guards around the White House. Until some investigative agency who knows what they are doing gets on this case, I´m thinking this looks like a typical leftist action. It isn´t conservative people with families, who have respect for country and Constitution and their neighbors, who do these things, it´s leftist types who are always demonstrating, throwing rocks, and blowing up buildings who are always suspect. Just look at the demonstrations going on in the UK right now. Leftists through and through. These are typical Marxist and Muslim actions.

He or her will turn out to be some weird wired leftist that is mad at the entire country for reasons known only to him/her self. And feels that Obozo isn´t moving fast enough to turn the U.S. into a "workers paradise". And wants to strike out at any and all things that are American.

This has all the hallmarks of Islamic Terrorism, from the type of bomb, to where it was set up (they are indiscriminate, killing mass chaos)the fact there was two bombs, the fact they were filled with further nails, etc. to further maim, and that no one took responsibility for it.

Hallmark of disgruntled citizens typically don´t happen at places like marathon finish lines... they happen at government buildings or tax centers, etc.

This was an islamic terror attack. But I absolutely, 100% expect the Obama WH and DHS to lie, cover that fact up, and blatantly lie and tell us it was a white conservative tea partier who did it. What we need to all do is keep getting the facts out via social media (create a twitter and FB account just to get the word out) and pray to God to not just reveal what Obama and his cabinet, progressives in general DON´T want us to know, but to also open up all eyes and ears to see and hear what they do not want us to. We also have to pray that they (Obama et. al.) and all terrorists, but in particular these, be brought to justice, and any efforts of Obama et. al. to suppress any info about it be brought to light to be seen/heard by all. AMEN!

As the media have informed us for five years, the bombing culprits most likely are white, evangelical Christians who bitterly cling to their religion and guns and who probably support the Constitution, including all amendments, and who are financed by funds from
Dubya Bush. Oh, by the way, since the Boston bombings took place in an area with businesses nearby, the bombings are clearly nothing more than workplace violence. Now just move along, there is nothing to see here.

Nine of 10 doctors discourage others from joining the profession, and 300 physicians commit suicide every year. When did it get this bad? By the end of this year, it’s estimated that 300 physicians will commit suicide. Simply put, being a doctor has become a miserable and humiliating undertaking. Indeed, many doctors feel that America has declared war on physicians—and both physicians and patients are the losers. Because you can find anything on the Web, you can easily search and pull up a running clock that tells you just how long, to the second, Barack Obama has been president. It moves in real time. It only feels like it´s speeding up. Constrained by crises over which he has little power to impact events, hemmed in by a divided Congress more interested in scoring points with voters than in legislating, and watching as his potential successor assumes more and more of the political spotlight, Obama may be receding into history more quickly than either he or his aides ever anticipated. It was impossible to listen to the president's speech Thursday

Search teams will ´stop listening for pings´ from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370´s black box unless new signals are picked up, it has been revealed. Ten planes and 14 ships were scouring around 16,000 square miles of the Indian Ocean today in a bid to locate the device before its emergency beacons fade. But a U.S. Navy captain has said they could ´give up´ on the acoustic search following two days without a ping. ´When the time is right, we’ll say "Yes, the beacons have probably stopped transmitting" and it’s time to shift,´ Captain Mark Matthews told ABC News. He added that the

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s administration is tightening the reins on cash handling to eliminate an embarrassing lack of oversight that allegedly allowed a low-level clerk in the Chicago Department of Transportation to embezzle nearly $750,000 in permit fees over a six-year period. In a memo to department heads, City Comptroller Dan Widawsky argued that “recent events have highlighted the risks associated with cash management” and the importance of “robust controls to manage” those risks. “We are the custodians of our city’s resources and you and your finance staff are critical to ensuring that such resources are safeguarded,” Widawsky wrote. “Each department head is responsibl

A diplomatic standoff between China and the Philippines that flared up two years ago in a dispute over fishing rights at a tiny shoal in the South China Sea is coming to a head after Manila decided to ignore Chinese threats and sue Beijing in an international tribunal. The legal case marks the first time that an arbitration panel will examine China´s contentious, and oft-disputed, claims to most of the South China Sea, one of the world´s busiest byways for shipping and a potentially rich source of oil and natural gas. The suit itself, a gargantuan, 4,000 page "memorial" filed before the

WASHINGTON – Lawmakers with strong ties to the Tea Party movement have gained a toehold in the U.S. Senate but it appears they might have difficulty expanding their numbers this year. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) are among those associated with the conservative, grassroots drive that has proved influential within Republican Party politics in a relatively short period of time. But a review of upcoming Senate contests reveals that more establishmentarian Senate candidates maintain an edge – at least to this point – heading into the primary season. Conservative disaffection for the manner in which mainstream Republicans are

Really, really unfortunate to find the Free Beacon exploiting an insane derelict for easy page views. It’s one thing to giggle at the crazy man at the bus stop, it’s another to record him and put it on YouTube. Nor is this the first time they’ve had fun at the expense of someone with obvious brain damage. Just look what they did to poor Al Sharpton. You’ll be tempted to bail here after 10 seconds thinking you’ve got the point and thus there’s no need to watch it all. Wrong: The point is to watch it all, to absorb the extent

Who throws a shoe? Honestly! That would be 36-year-old Alison Ernst of Phoenix, Arizona, who was charged Thursday night with disorderly conduct by the Las Vegas Police Department after allegedly throwing a shoe at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to NBC News, who spoke with a Secret Service official, the U.S. Attorney’s office has declined federal prosecution. Ernst was wearing shoes on Thursday night when she attended a speech Clinton was giving in Las Vegas, but apparently brought an extra one specifically to throw at the former secretary of state. The official said the incident appeared to be “premeditated.”

Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is now accusing the Keystone pipeline of being a cancer risk. Her first point was that the pipeline “will bring 830,000 barrels of dirty tar sands oil into our nation every day.” She then segued to point #2 by asserting that the heavy tar sands oil will put people who live near refineries at risk for cancer: Significantly higher levels of dangerous air pollutants and carcinogens have been documented downwind from tar sands refineries, and in these areas people are suffering higher rates of the types of cancers linked to these toxic chemicals, including leukemia and

President Obama stood Friday with the Rev. Al Sharpton and accused Republicans of trying to keep millions of Americans from voting, in a fiery speech days after new revelations about Sharpton’s past as an FBI informant. “The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago,” Obama told the annual convention of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Manhattan. Obama’s appearance represented a presidential seal of approval of Sharpton’s role as a civil rights activist, amid the new revelations about how Sharpton used a wire to record

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. And let me add a bit of clarity: they had no choice! As the nation began to become familiar with the plight of the family of Cliven Bundy, many of us harkened back to another standoff in which the Federal government attempted to bully it´s outcome: Waco, Texas and the Branch Davidian massacre. It is telling that in the Nevada case the feds pulled out so

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
