Boston Marathon bombings
present new test for Obama

Washington Examiner, by Brian Hughes

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 4/17/2013 6:01:37 AM

Authorities on Tuesday revealed little new information about the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon, the most high-profile bombing on U.S. soil in more than a decade and a tragedy that presents a new test for President Obama. Obama, like all Americans, is standing by, waiting for answers as to who planted two bombs improvised from pressure cookers at the finish line of the storied race, and why. Three Americans were killed in Monday´s attack and more than 170 others were injured. "Anytime bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror," Obama said,

Comments:
Yeah, the test being how to convince us that he´s won the war on terror around the world.

I don´t see this as much of a test for Obama unless they find out who the culprit(s) are.

We know the left would rather exploit this politically rather than get to the bottom of it. It wouldn´t surprise me at all if some leftists were sitting around a table brainstorming on how it can be laid at the feet of right wingers. They´ll come up with an accusation, eventually.

Hat tip to Sagman.

Boston bombing debriefing at the White House

MCDONOUGH (chief of staff): Mr. President, some IEDs exploded at the Boston Marathon today.

OBAMA: Exploding IEDs? Say, is that one of my new contraceptive devices?

MCDONOUGH: No Mr. President, bombs placed in trash barrels, most likely terrorism...

CARNEY: ... an act of terror ...

NAPOLITANO: ... a man-made disaster ...

OBAMA: A conservative plot, I see. Did I catch who did it?

MCDONOUGH: No sir, the sequester prevented you.

BIDEN: I´ve heard that Boston has some very swank hotels.

NAPOLITANO: We´re going to station TSA agents at every garbage can.

OBAMA: Any casualties? I could use a few deaths, especially children.

MCDONOUGH: Three deaths, one an 8 year old boy.

OBAMA: Not great, but good enough. Tell Reggie to pack his bags, we´re going to Boston.

CARNEY: I´ll be sure to tell the press that it´s the fault of Bush, the sequester, the GOP, Montana militia groups, the Japanese tsunami, the Tea Party, and the constitution.

MCDONOUGH: The memorial is scheduled for Wednesday, sir.

OBAMA: Wednesday? I´ve got golf on Wednesday. Have them move it to Thursday.

#3 says it all. Obama will tell the lo-fo voters that he will bring those to justice who committed such a terrible act bla, bla, bla then he will just forget about it. HE will go off campaigning for gun control and amnesty and continue playing golf and basketball with Reggie Love. As his buddy Bill Ayers said at the University of Oregon American is over the left has won.

Well, well, well, the Mullatto Marxist is now willing to let it be known that President Bush was right about something - that´s a big step for Barry. When there´s a tax revolt, I wonder what he´ll say or will he just put us all in Joe Biden´s chains?

Obama: New York; Ft Hood; Benghazi; Boston. Get your Obama Terrorism Appeasement World tour tickets today! Bullet proof vest, tourniquets, ear plugs not included.

There´s something very suspicious about no one taking claim for the bombing? Since when? It gives Obama the chance to eat his cake and eat it too: He doesn´t have to take any action because culprit is supposedly unknown and could be a sampler of what is to come to justify declaring Martial Law or some other bizarre objective.

Is it possible for someone to take credit for a bombing and have it suppressed in media/information circles? Probably, especially with this administration.

Right to all above, same outcome as Benghazi. Yawn.

I agree obama´s buddies Aires and his bomb/throwing wife have a shared interest with our prez. They don´t care who gets hurt. It´s all a political agenda driven message.

Watch as he "runs" to the crisis and plays the victims ----- again and again and again....

As long as 0bama keeps our borders open, we will have people entering our country whenever they want. Terrorists can walk across our border along with thousands of illegals just wanting the free stuff he so freely offers. It is time to close America´s borders and make the US secure.

Obama has been in a full out assault on our way of life. Whoever it was knew the basics of improvisation and, from the video, it appeared the blast was somewhat shaped. Let´s pray that the person(s) have no connection to what will be called "right wing" groups. Congress´ legs will turn to jelly in the gun control issue.

I just heard Rudy Giuliani say on FOX that a pressure cooker device was used by the Times Square bomber. If that´s the case, why weren´t security people on the lookout for similar types of bombs at the Boston Marathon? Why haven´t they been warning us to keep an eye out for objects like that? Pressure cookers are heavy. When they are filled with shrapnel, they are even heavier. Even if they were hidden inside backpacks, the weight would be evident--something no average person would be carrying around with them on the street.

When I go to the airport, I have to take minute quantities of liquids onboard because liquids can be used to make a bomb. I have to take off my shoes because my shoes could contain a bomb. Why in the world did Homeland Security believe that making a bomb from a pressure cooker would happen once and only once?

Big Sis warned us all that terror attacks on the US would increase if the Sequester budget cuts (that Zero signed into law) went through. After these horrific bombings, now she says the bombings in Boston aren´t part of a larger plot. The Wookie from the White House has warned us all that obese people are unhealthy, and I have to agree with her this one time. Big Sis has an addled brain and she needs to shed pounds to think clearly.

If this isn´t part of a larger plot, then why all the yellow tape and guards around the White House. Until some investigative agency who knows what they are doing gets on this case, I´m thinking this looks like a typical leftist action. It isn´t conservative people with families, who have respect for country and Constitution and their neighbors, who do these things, it´s leftist types who are always demonstrating, throwing rocks, and blowing up buildings who are always suspect. Just look at the demonstrations going on in the UK right now. Leftists through and through. These are typical Marxist and Muslim actions.

He or her will turn out to be some weird wired leftist that is mad at the entire country for reasons known only to him/her self. And feels that Obozo isn´t moving fast enough to turn the U.S. into a "workers paradise". And wants to strike out at any and all things that are American.

This has all the hallmarks of Islamic Terrorism, from the type of bomb, to where it was set up (they are indiscriminate, killing mass chaos)the fact there was two bombs, the fact they were filled with further nails, etc. to further maim, and that no one took responsibility for it.

Hallmark of disgruntled citizens typically don´t happen at places like marathon finish lines... they happen at government buildings or tax centers, etc.

This was an islamic terror attack. But I absolutely, 100% expect the Obama WH and DHS to lie, cover that fact up, and blatantly lie and tell us it was a white conservative tea partier who did it. What we need to all do is keep getting the facts out via social media (create a twitter and FB account just to get the word out) and pray to God to not just reveal what Obama and his cabinet, progressives in general DON´T want us to know, but to also open up all eyes and ears to see and hear what they do not want us to. We also have to pray that they (Obama et. al.) and all terrorists, but in particular these, be brought to justice, and any efforts of Obama et. al. to suppress any info about it be brought to light to be seen/heard by all. AMEN!

As the media have informed us for five years, the bombing culprits most likely are white, evangelical Christians who bitterly cling to their religion and guns and who probably support the Constitution, including all amendments, and who are financed by funds from
Dubya Bush. Oh, by the way, since the Boston bombings took place in an area with businesses nearby, the bombings are clearly nothing more than workplace violence. Now just move along, there is nothing to see here.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A North Carolina prosecutor was the original target of an elaborate kidnapping plot, but the kidnappers looked up the wrong address on the Internet and abducted the prosecutor´s father by mistake, an indictment released Tuesday said. Nine people were charged in the kidnapping of 63-year-old Frank Janssen, the father of Wake Forest Assistant District Attorney Colleen Janssen. Frank Janssen was abducted April 5 from his Wake Forest home and held captive for five days in Atlanta before being rescued by the FBI. New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives

Sierra Club top officials promote fuel

Members of the Sierra Club’s board of directors are driving around in gas-guzzling vehicles, despite the group’s support for the Obama administration’s increased fuel efficiency standards. The Sierra Club strongly supported the Obama administration’s increase in minimum fuel economy standards to 54.4 miles per gallon (mpg) by 2025, but it seems the Club’s top officials don’t practice what they preach. The Sierra Club’s 15-member board of directors own a combined 32 vehicles, less than one-fifth of which are hybrids or electric vehicles. Seven of the 32 vehicles are sports utility vehicles while only six are hybrids and electric cars, according

New poll confirms: Obamacare

National Journal published two stories late last week that immediately rocketed ’round the lefty blogosphere. The first argued that Obamacare was on a fabulous “winning streak;” the second followed up on the same theme, asserting that conservative critics of the law have sustained a credibility hit as a result of all this supposedly great news. (Our own Ed Morrissey was even cited as an example hyperbolic overreach — and everyone knows Ed’s reputation is a reckless hothead who’s prone to wild exaggeration). I responded to the latter piece yesterday at Townhall, addressing “correspondent” Lucia Graves’ arguments in some detail. In

ALBUQUERQUE – One of New Mexico’s candidates for Governor is downplaying his ties to a co-founder of the radical anti-government Weather Underground. Democrat Alan Webber has raised the most money out of the five candidates vying for the party’s nomination and the right to take on Governor Susana Martinez in the November election. It turns out Webber got some fundraising help from a controversial source. From the late 1960´s to the mid 1970´s, the anti-war group the Weather Underground planted and detonated bombs at targets across the country. The group’s manifesto called for the violent overthrow of the United States government. One of its

In the final weeks of the Kentucky Republican primary election, U.S. Senate candidate Matt Bevin´s chief spokeswoman has left the campaign for an unknown reason.Rachel Semmel joined Bevin´s bid to unseat GOP leader Mitch McConnell last September after leaving an Arizona GOP lawmaker’s office. But in recent weeks Semmel had missed several campaign events and failed to respond to follow-up questions. In a text message Monday afternoon, Semmel confirmed with WFPL News she is no longer with Bevn´s campaign. "Yep. Left," she said. Semmel did not respond to questions about why she departed or under what circumstances, and neither did Bevin´s campaign in a

The Sunday morning shows once occupied a sacred space in American politics. Today, many influential Washington players can’t even remember the last time they watched. The public affairs shows — “Meet the Press,” “Face the Nation” and “This Week” — used to set the agenda for the nation’s capital with their news-making interviews and immensely influential audience. Now the buzz around the shows is more likely to center on gossipy criticism about the hosts, notably “Meet the Press’s” David Gregory, whose fate has become an incessant subject of conversation, most recently in a Washington Post story on Monday. Meanwhile, fans complain about

A New York jury heard accused terrorist Abu Hamza al-Masri gloat Monday over the 9/11 attacks and the 1998 bombing of a U.S. Navy ship. "Everybody was happy when the planes hit the World Trade Center," the hook-handed preacher told a television reporter in a videotaped interview that prosecutors played in Manhattan Federal Court. When asked whether he approved of the suicide attack on the U.S.S. Cole, Abu Hamza responded, "Of course. I agree with it." Prosecutors screened the clips while questioning witness George Corey, a federal investigator and former NYPD detective. Abu Hamza, 56, is charged with supporting Al Qaeda and the

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

It’s all there for Speaker of the House, and yet John Boehner manages to miss

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. Global sea levels have risen by 8 inches (20cm) since 1880 and scientists predict they could rise up to 3ft (98cm) by 2100. But despite the UN’s recent threats of war, famine and extreme weather, such a dramatically different world caused by sea level rise can be hard to imagine. To help picture the future, Martin Vargic, an amateur graphic designer from Slovakia, has created a map depicting the planet with sea levels around 260ft (79m) higher than they are today. He imagines what Earth would look like if the ice sheets surrounding the North and South poles melted, releasing

Harry Reid isn’t backing down from his claim that rancher Cliven Bundy’s supporters are “domestic terrorists.” It’s astonishing rhetoric given the White House’s characterization of the mass shooting by a genuine terrorist, Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 Americans at the Fort Hood Army base after yelling “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great.) Rather than labeling Hasan’s actions “domestic terrorism,” the Obama administration is prosecuting him for having committed “workplace violence.” Democratic rhetoric is become ever more desperate and overheated as we approach the November midterm elections. Last week, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that GOP positions on immigration were motivated by

Thirty-eight Republican lawmakers, including such unlikely bedfellows as John McCain of Arizona and Ted Cruz of Texas, have joined to support a lawsuit challenging the legality of the Affordable Care Act and accusing the president of repeatedly ignoring the law he signed for political reasons. The lawmakers have signed onto a legal brief in support of a lawsuit filed by Sen. Ron Johnson, the Wisconsin Republican who is asking a federal court to overturn Obamacare’s special treatment for members of Congress and their staffs. “The unlawful executive action at issue in this case is not an isolated incident,” the brief
