How the Rest of the World Is
Watching the Wake of Boston

Atlantic, by Esther Zuckerman

Original Article

In the Muslim world there were concerns about who might be blamed; in Britain thoughts turned to their own marathon set to take place Sunday. In its aftermath, the Boston Marathon bombings became a global news story, appearing on front pages in places ranging from Argentina to Turkey. Max Fisher of the Washington Post reported Monday afternoon on the fear that spread throughout the Muslim world that a potential bomber might turn out to be someone who practiced the same faith. He pointed attention to Jenan Moussa, a reporter for Al Aan TV based in Dubai.

Don´t worry, the rest of the world is hoping it was "rightwing extremists" behind the attack, anyone who doesn´t worship Dear Leader and His socialist goals. That would give Dear Leader reason to start banning, maybe even arresting, the American "rightwing", as the rest of the world (most of it) has longed for for so very long.

Odds are the group/religion that did it has done it a lot of times overseas to our soldiers and here in Ft Hood and Twin Towers. everyone is just too PC to say it.And the White Hovel along with the booze-pickled Chris Matthews is just hoping let it be oh God some right wing nut.

These murders don´t just "happen to be individuals who practice the same faith". Thats pure Libtrash. It is precisely because of the commandments of their blood thirsty, intolerant cult that they commit these acts. When the non Muslim world begins to accept this and act accordingly the violence will vanish like magic.

The rest of the world saw how Americans helped Americans and how united WE are....

No single man -- even the king/obama -- can break our spirit. It is OUR freedom and no man can take it from US...

Here is what the world should see when the murderer is caught:
1. Public execution within one week.
2. Public execution of the murder´s entire family within two weeks.
3. No more bombings.

My worry is that, if it was Al-Qaeda, they don´t have to claim responsibility to do more damage. The MSM and WH will pin the blame on right-wing extremists and sway public opinion towards gun control, etc. Mission accomplished via MSM hysterics.

That it was a terrorist attack, there is no doubt. As for me, I’ll wait for the FBI and the other law enforcement agencies to sort out the evidence as to whom the perpetrators are. All else is pure speculation.

Here’s What the CIA Director
Was Really Doing in Kiev

The head of the CIA just made a secretive journey to Ukraine—to do what, he won’t say. But the answer could change the power equation in the hottest of geopolitical hotspots. The Obama administration is now considering a new policy to share more real-time intelligence with the interim government in Kiev after pressure from some in the U.S. military, Congress and U.S. allies in Ukraine. Over the weekend, CIA director John Brennan met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and First Deputy Prime Minister Vitaliy Yarema to discuss the formation of new, more secure channels for sharing U.S. intelligence with the country

Ever since ObamaCare supposedly hit the arbitrary target of 7 million sign-ups by March 31, its supporters have been taking the most premature victory lap since conservative proponents of the Iraq War (like me) crowed about the results of the three elections inside Iraq in 2005 and how they demonstrated the country was on the verge of a historic peace. “It’s all over but the shouting: ObamaCare is working,” said Eugene Robinson in Tuesday’s Washington Post. “All the naysaying in the world can’t drown out mounting evidence that the Affordable Care Act, President Obama’s signature domestic achievement, is a real success.” Those

South Korean officials said Wednesday that nearly 300 people were still missing several hours after a passenger ferry sank off that country´s southern coast, leaving at least two dead and seven injured. A government official had said earlier Wednesday that around 100 people were unaccounted for, but the number was later revised upward due to a tallying error. The ferry was carrying 477 people, most of them high school students, and was bound for the island of Jeju when it sent a distress call at around 9 a.m. local time Wednesday as it began leaning to one side, according to

BOSTON - It was a shocking slaying in a Boston suburb that sometimes goes years without one homicide, let alone three at once. The victims´ throats had been sliced in a home on a tree-lined street, marijuana and cash strewn over their bodies. The investigation languished for more than 18 months until just a few days after the Boston Marathon explosions, when the FBI identified the suspected bombers as Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, and his brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, ethnic Chechens who emigrated from Russia to the U.S. about a decade ago.

WASHINGTON -- Democratic worries about this November´s elections, a lack of Senate votes and House opposition are forcing congressional gun-control supporters to significantly winnow their 2014 agenda, a year after lawmakers scuttled President Barack Obama´s effort to pass new curbs on firearms. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., recently said he needs additional votes before revisiting a proposed expansion of gun sale background checks that the Senate derailed last April. That has left advocates of tighter gun curbs hoping Reid will allow votes on more modest proposals, such as one by Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., to add convicted stalkers to

The fairest explainer I’ve found on the Bundy saga is Becket Adams’s post at TheBlaze. If, like me (and Ace), you came to this story after it had already been hyper-polarized and weren’t sure whose facts to trust, try Adams’s Q&A. He plays it straight. In one sense this is complicated — land ownership, grazing rights dating back decades, a court battle, the feds tasing a Bundy family member, even a Harry Reid cameo — but after listening to this Glenn Beck interview with Bundy, it seems surprisingly simple. Bundy stopped paying the BLM in 1993 for grazing rights on

Antiquated law adds billions to fuel costs

An obscure 1920 law is costing Americans billions of dollars a year in higher fuel costs. The Jones Act requires that cargo shipped from one US port to another be carried on a US-registered vessel, built, owned and crewed by Americans. This protectionist law was designed to support a shipbuilding industry that no longer exists — but inertia and labor-union muscle keep it on the books. The law mainly makes the news in time of crisis. It delayed shipment of road salt to New Jersey during a shortage last winter — happily, without incident, as the weather moderated before the Garden State

Ukraine and the Obama doctrine: Our president´s
puzzling "go to war or ignore" philosophy
Fox News, by Richard Grenell    Original Article

The continuation of Putin’s push into Ukraine makes it official. The Obama Doctrine is to ignore an international crisis or go to war. There is no in between. And President Obama’s been clear that he isn’t going to start any new wars. The recent bipartisan push by Congress to help Ukraine, however, was the latest signal that the president´s foreign policy is unraveling and his doctrine of ‘war or ignore’ is making America less safe. The bill had a huge majority in Congress (378-84 in the House, 98-2 in the Senate) pushing back against a slow and disinterested White House.

WASHINGTON -- People with old Social Security debts are getting a reprieve - for now. The Social Security Administration had been participating in a program in which thousands of people were having their tax refunds seized to recoup overpayments that happened more than a decade ago. On Monday, Acting Social Security Commissioner Carolyn W. Colvin said she was suspending the program while the agency conducts a review. Social Security recipients and members of Congress complained that people were being forced to repay overpayments that were sometimes paid to their parents or guardians when they were children.

To secede or not to secede. That will be the question for Wisconsin Republicans at next month´s convention. Earlier this month, the party´s Resolutions Committee voted in favor of a proposal that says the state party "supports legislation that upholds Wisconsin´s right, under extreme circumstances, to secede." A version of the so-called "state sovereignty" resolution was first OK´d last month by one of the state GOP´s eight regional caucuses as an assertion of the state´s 10th Amendment rights. The measure also calls for ending all mandates that go "beyond the scope of the constitutionally delegated powers of the federal government."

Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
