Is media bias to blame for lack

Or something far more banal?

Washington Post, by Paul Farhi

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

Comments:
WaPo found some column space in the Style section for a piece that basically points a finger at conservative news outlets for lack of coverage. Remember the days when newspapers were looking for scoops?

They were killing beautiful, innocent, black babies and have the nerve to use their mantra "It´s for the Children" when they enact their filthy ordinances and bogus laws to control our lives.

The stench has reached heaven and the GOD they so desperately been trying to kill will not be mocked. It´s coming, wait for it.

The libtard drive-by media won´t print any stories on Gosnell because it definitely goes against their crusade of infanticide. When Barry´s Death Panels kick in for senior citizens, they´ll ignore those stories too because it goes against their crusade of eugenics.

There is no doubt whatsoever that the media are 97% liberal, enthusiastically support abortion, and are totally ideologocally driven. Conservatives have known this for a very long time. What is really banal here is their phony shock at the accusations.

It´s even worse for the WaPo and the NYC papers as "news" that happens in Philadelphia is generally considered "regional news" since the cities are so close together and easily reached via train.

Hitler would be astonished at how willingly our "free press" tows the leftist line...I mean it´s not even propaganda by "nationalizing" the media...they have literally "nationalized" themselves...there´s not even a use for PBS. It´s completely irrelevant.

Gosnell is obviously black and, by his practice of killing babies (both unborn and unborn, is obviously politically a far left liberal. MSM views him as "one of theirs" and would never participate in exposing him. So they cover for him by ignoring the trial. To do otherwise might hurt their "womens´ choice" agenda.

I was watching MSNBC´s Morning Joe this morning looking for any coverage on this trial. Joe did three segments on the Gosnell trail and encouraging people to read the grand jury report!!!!!!!
He interviewed a local reporter and a pro choice ex-governor who served during that time period, and said the laws in place were adequate but there was not enough oversight.
He gave details. He compared it to New Town. Joe compared this 30 week baby that was killed, to his own son who was a premature child born in an earlier week of development.
It was a beautiful sight to see. A friend had alerted Joe Scarborough to the case.

FTA: Moreover, some commentators have pointed out, greater media attention to the trial might help, rather than hurt, abortion rights advocates. They say the graphic testimony about illegal late-term abortions, unlicensed staff and shockingly unsanitary procedures and conditions at Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society clinic strengthens the case for keeping abortion safe, legal and affordable

Its not safe, women are dying and/or being rushed to ERs. It isn´t legal to kill a baby born alive. And it certainly isn´t affordable to undergo an abortion that delivers a baby that was poisoned in-utero.

"Bias" is a soft, useless word. Saying the media suffers bias misses the point entirely. Protecting Gosnell is just one of thousands of protectorate mafia media events. Most media is controlled by new world order dominating forces. Elegant Diane Sawyer isn´t free to say whatever good thoughts may remain in her pre-brainwashed mind. There are rules in this unionized mafia, rules you do not break. Never discuss the birth certificate issue, never discuss the beautifully established American culture of private gun ownership, never discuss the arming of schools, never discuss fast & furious, our government giving guns to Mexican drug cartels, never discuss Holder supported vote fraud, never discuss tossing UN out of New York, never discuss chaos in gun controlled cities versus relative safety of gun carry cities, of all mind altering products, never discuss no withdrawal goodness of the natural plant, cannabis, never show 24/7 fiat dollar printing, never show disaster that is forced medicine obamaskare. There are endless, prohibited topics on brainwash media/press. Our saving grace is this right here, internet, New Media (and new world order/UN is trying to close this down, too). Not covering Gosnell´s accused crimes is just one of many censorings by statist powers. It ain’t bias. What remains, of all of TV´s lovely and charming Diane Sawyers, is robot power controlled, just like Mr Soetero.

I suspect this clinic and the one in Delaware are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to unsanitary conditions. Why? Because abortionist tend to be at the bottom of the barrel in terms of medical prestige and there are darn few negative consequences for sloppiness. The inspectors are afraid to complain too loudly and the customers who are injured or who get infected are not likely to sue.

This is ironic because when abortion was illegal those physicians who would preform one sub rosa had to be gosh darn careful to get everything perfect. If they didn´t they could lose their license and go to jail.

Why you use the word "bias" describing today´s American mainstream media? Use the right words - it is leftist propaganda machine who works hand in hand with leftist anti-capitalist, anti-freedom government! And think where it gets its financing from: all the newspapers (they give them practically for free to us), local TV, Google, Facebook...
Of course from the leftist government who, by the way owns the banking in the country!

Gosnell was cutting off the hands and feet of babies and keeping them as souvenirs. The Washington Post doesn´t care.

Gosnell was delivering babies alive, then holding them aloft and cutting their necks. The Washington Post doesn´t care.

Gosnell was offering superior treatment and facilities to white women while black women were shunted off to filthy, bloody, unsterile rooms with cat feces on the floor. The Washington Post doesn´t care.

Why doesn´t the Washington Post care?

Because reporting on this would harm the Left´s political narrative.

Similarly, the Washington Post refuses to report on Barack Obama´s arming of Mexican drug cartels because stories about "Operation Fast & Furious" harm the Left´s political narrative. So what, if three hundred Mexican citizens have been murdered thanks to Barack Obama and Eric Holder? The Washington Post doesn´t care.

This is the same newspaper which wrote an editorial explaining why they WEREN´T going to cover the New Black Panther voter intimidation scandal, "despite thousands of phone calls and e-mails expressing intense reader interest."

These people aren´t journalists. They´re cheerleaders for the CommieCrat Party, and telling the TRUTH is the LEAST of their concerns.

This was allowed to happen all these 30 years because of Affirmative Action. AA´s are allowed to do much outside the norm because no one has the bells to report on it as they could be called ´raaaaacist´ and also because this was done mostly on poor black women. I scanned the Grand Jury Report and I´ll tell you, this whole this makes me sick to my stomach. Those poor ladies who had to go through this. The black community needs to do something about the young men (or just men) who plant the seed and leave somone else to take care of the problem. And then to top it off, we see the picture of the EMPTY benches in the courtroom where reporters should be sitting to get information to report on this atrocity. Dear Lord, where are we?

But this radical result is what some want to happen in California. In endorsing a bill in the California legislature that would require “affirmative consent” before sex can occur on campus, the editorial boards of the Sacramento and Fresno Bee and the Daily Californian advocated that sex be treated as “sexual assault” unless the participants discuss it “out loud” before sex, and “demonstrate they obtained verbal ‘affirmative consent’ before engaging in sexual activity.” Never

Police are investigating the possibility that the pilot of missing Flight MH370 hijacked his own aircraft in a bizarre political protest. The Mail on Sunday has learned that Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was an ‘obsessive’ supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim. And hours before the doomed flight left Kuala Lumpur it is understood 53-year-old Shah attended a controversial trial in which Ibrahim was jailed for five years. Campaigners say the politician, the key challenger to Malaysia’s ruling party, was the victim of a long-running smear campaign and had faced trumped-up charges. Police sources have confirmed that Shah was a vocal political activist

The day before the Iowa caucuses in 2008, I wrote about the massive crowds of young people at Barack Obama rallies, noting that his candidacy would collapse “if they don’t show up.” The next night, after Obama’s victory celebration in Des Moines, Obama strategist Steve Hildebrand spotted me in a crowd. “The kids showed up!” he said fiercely. They did. But where are they now? An army of 15 million voters under 30 swept Obama past Hillary Clinton and John McCain and to the presidency in 2008. More than 12 million helped him return in 2012. But now his presidency is on the line — and the Obama youth are abandoning him in

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) may be popular among hard-line conservatives nationally, but back home he’s in some hot water. According to an Emerson College poll, his favorability is underwater, by a margin of 43 to 48 percent. Moreover, his favorable/unfavorable rating with women is 39 to 50 percent. I asked the poll director for further detail and found: Republicans: 74 percent favorable, 18 percent unfavorable ~Democrats: 8 percent favorable, 82 percent unfavorable ~Independents: 38 percent favorable, 50 percent unfavorable

Here´s an astonishing poll: David Freddoso at Conservative Intelligence Briefing links to a report by the Washington Post´s Aaron Blake that West Virginia 3rd district incumbent Rep. Nick Rahall trails Republican challenger state Sen. Evan Jenkins by a 54-percent to 40-percent margin. The poll was conducted by the Tarrance Group, a Republican firm which, like several Democratic and other Republican firms, has had a good record for reliability over the years. This is astonishing for several reasons. Rahall, first elected in 1976, is now the seventh most senior member of the House, with three of the more senior members retiring

President Barack Obama hit back at critics calling him out for his "mom jeans. "I´ve been unfairly maligned about my jeans," Obama said Friday in an interview with radio host Ryan Seacrest. "The truth is, generally I look very sharp in jeans. There was one episode like four years ago in which I was wearing some loose jeans, mainly because I was out on the pitcher´s mound and I didn´t want to feel confined while I was pitching, and I think I´ve paid my penance for that. I got whacked pretty good. Since that time, my jeans fit very well."

By now it’s settled on most people, including Democrats, that the loss of Alex Sink to David Jolly in Florida’s 13th Congressional District was, in the words of the New York Times, “devastating” to Democrats. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats. In addition, Ms. Sink raised more money and ran a better campaign than Jolly. Even Bill Clinton lent his efforts to her campaign. And yet she lost. What should particularly alarm Democrats is

It’s been less than six months since Bret Stephens used a version of this headline, but four events in the last week have caused it to scream in my mind. Before I get into those four events, let me say that I understand the only way to stay remotely sane in Washington, D.C., is to ignore 85 percent of whatever is trending at any given moment. That said, there are times anyone less isolated than a Carthusian monk is unavoidably exposed to “news” that 25 years ago would be considered fit only for National Enquirer. The four events that have disturbed

Last week, the U.S. Tenth Circuit decided a case that should reverberate on Capitol Hill. In Kerr v. Hickenlooper, five Colorado legislators sought “standing” to challenge a state constitutional amendment. The three-judge panel — consisting of Carter and Clinton appointees — ruled in favor of the legislators’ standing. This decision should embolden members of Congress who correctly believe that President Obama has encroached upon Congress’ constitutional authority. Indeed, Congress should do no less in defending its authority than the five Colorado state legislators. Many members of Congress believe that numerous presidential actions — delaying various provisions of the Affordable Care

A top Republican campaigning for immigration reform is warning that America needs at least 1 million more immigrants every year just for basic farming and construction jobs, not ban like some in the party are advocating. Carlos Gutierrez, Commerce secretary under former President George W. Bush, said that without more immigrants, businesses won´t be able to grow because there aren´t enough workers available. And helping them could boost the Republican Party, added the former Kellogg Co. executive. Speaking at a Republican confab, he said that comprehensive immigration reform passed in the Senate and rejected by

Columbia, SC - Four of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham´s announced challengers in June´s Republican primary pledged support for each other Thursday if any of them end up in a runoff with the Seneca incumbent. But a news conference announcing their alliance on the State House steps took an unexpected turn when the most minor of the candidates, Dave Feliciano of Spartanburg, took the podium and called Graham "ambiguously gay." Feliciano said, "It´s about time that South Carolina (says) hey, We´re tired of the ambiguously gay senator from South Carolina. We´re ready for a new leader to merge the Republican Party.

An interview yesterday offers proof that Sarah Palin has really gotten under Obama’s skin. In the midst of a friendly on-the-air radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, President Obama offered us a rare glimpse inside the presidential mind, revealing how deeply he was stung by the gibes he has received ever since wearing mom jeans when throwing out the first pitch at the 2009 All Star Game. In the midst of a discussion of his recent shopping trip to The Gap, the President stated: “I’ve been unfairly maligned about my jeans,” (snip) It is quite obvious that the reason the 2009 mockery
