Woods story, predictably,
dominates CBS broadcast

Associated Press, by Tim Reynolds

CBS announcer Jim Nantz led off the network´s Masters coverage Saturday by describing what Tiger Woods did the day before on the 15th hole as an "innocent" and "absent-minded" mistake. CBS devoted the first 12 minutes of its broadcast from the Masters entirely to Woods, who was given a two-stroke penalty earlier in the day for a bad drop that led to his signing an incorrect scorecard after his second round. (Snip)Woods was tied for 17th when the third-round broadcast started at 3 p.m. EDT, five shots off the lead. His story dominated the early coverage, and CBS

Comments:
CBS didn´t even mention another player or show the leaderboard for the first twelve minutes of the broadcast.

CBS says and does whatever they are told to say and do by Billy Payne if they want to keep their tv contract. Of course Jim Nantz said it was an innocent mistake.

This is not the first time this happened to Tiger. He knew exactly what he was doing. The powers that be did not think it was PC to disqualify him.

The serial cheater cheated and were he ANYONE else in golf, he would have been disqualified. However, a Masters without Tiger would not get the ratings. Even if he wins, this one.(like Tiger) is tainted!

I don´t know how the players and officials know all the rules of golf anyway. It is my understanding the rule book has hundreds of rules for golf down to the most miniscule. Gee, all that is required is hit a little white ball into a hole with a club. Good grief, it is just a game, not brain surgery! If they kick Tiger Woods out then viewership will plummet, and the bottom line is advertising to make money and that means viewers.

Woods looks like one of 0bama´s sons. That´s why he was minimally penalized and only after a non-official pointed out the infraction.

The PGA and Masters are going to have a huge problem on their hands if Tiger wins this tourney.

Tiger knows the rules. Tiger broke the rules. Tiger signed an incorrect scorecard. Tiger should be DQ´d.

Rule 33-7: Disqualification Penalty; Committee Discretion

A penalty of disqualification may in exceptional individual cases be waived, modified or imposed if the Committee considers such action warranted.

The "committee" can hide behind rule 33-7 all they want but the fact is that if this was anyone but Tiger, there would have been a DQ. It´s all about the ratings.

WASHINGTON — Stepping into a heated debate within the nation’s intelligence agencies, President Obama has decided that when the National Security Agency discovers major flaws in Internet security, it should — in most circumstances — reveal them to assure that they will be fixed, rather than keep mum so that the flaws can be used in espionage or cyberattacks, senior administration officials said Saturday. But Mr. Obama carved a broad exception for “a clear national security or law enforcement need,” the officials said, a loophole that is likely to allow the N.S.A. to continue to exploit security flaws both to crack

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
