From Dehumanizing Word
Games to Gosnell

National Review Online, by Andrew C. McCarthy

Original Article

In Philadelphia, at a human abattoir on Lancaster Avenue, is where it ends, not where it starts. It starts with the perversion of language. It starts when the icons of a dissipated culture reduce a baby to a “fetus.” From there, Yeats’s blood-dimmed tide rolls rapidly in. Before long, a baby is not a person but a punishment, as President Barack Obama framed the matter in his familiar off-the-cuff iciness. Of course, to describe newborn children in their boundless possibilities and wonder would be to acknowledge, foremost, their humanity. That is why, instead, abortion enthusiasts must grope for words

Yes, an absolute Must Read. McCarthy coins a new phrase, the best one yet: "Abortion Enthusiasts".

Mengele would have been fascinated. Dispatching 40 million babies would have been a study for him focusing on cost and efficiency.

Over the past generation, the horrors of abortion have been masked by the culture, and largely ignored by most of us as we live our lives. Articles like this bring me back to the reality of why God´s wrath will be poured out on wicked humanity in the end. By electing "leaders" who enable wickedness of this sort (if the shoe fits), we are complicit, and deserving of judgement. This is why I fear the soon fall of America.

Please read to the end, because the last two paragraphs describe a very sobering fact. All I can think is... we allowed this anti-American animal to be elected and RE-ELECTED!

When I see how many babies have been killed by abortion over the years I find it hard to even ask God for his blessing on our country. We are not deserving.
On the other hand, hearts and minds are changing as more people are now pro-life than abortion enthusiasts IF polls are correct. I feel God is at work changing hearts, and opening eyes to see the reality of abortion.

Funny how the same politicians who deign to pass judgment on every morsel we eat, what and how much we drive, how much water it takes to flush our toilets and what light bulbs we can buy give a complete pass to regulating these clinics. This is despite ample evidence of both substandard medical practices and racketeering activity.

An all cash business that government regulators aren´t interested in is an open invitation to the criminal class.

I had to force myself to finish that article. It is one of the most disturbing and appalling articles I have ever read. I completely agree with #5. That article should be read and/or handed out to everyone in an abortion waiting room. It would also be appropriate for it to be read on the floor of the Senate so all could hear the barbarism that is allowed in this country. I would further suggest it should he published on every editorial page in this country. It also perfectly depicts the cold, heartless man 0bama is. It truly shows how far our society has been degraded when innocent little babies can be murdered so easily. It is terribly, terribly depressing. It is going to take a very long time before I forget those horrific descriptions I read in that article.

The MSM won´t cover it because they are "pro-abortion" and the defendant is black. To cover it would be to expose the big lie and would hurt The Won because he has gone on record supporting it. If the same thing were being done to bald eagles or any animal other than human, there would be a non-stopping outcry across the planet. Even as we speak, one who destroys a bald eagle egg can get up to 7 years in prison.

I am an obstetrician. I have said for years that the only reason for "partial birth abortion" in late term abortion is that otherwise the baby would be born alive. Then what do you do with it?

There is no advantage to the mother´s health in a vaginal delivery whether you deliver a dead or live infant. It´s simply that you can´t kill a baby after it is born. Or can you?

I urge everyone to read the Gosnell Grand Jury report. He did things that are unimaginable to right thinking people. And his staff went along with his evil. When he was reported, it was not investigated.

If Gosnell is not convicted and sentenced to death, our country has lost its´ very soul.

McCarthy points out the devastating effect of the Left´s changing the language ... in this case, from "baby" to "fetus." I remember when this was done, with the help of an enthusiastically pro-abortion media, back in the late ´60s - early ´70s.

It is a typical, Alinskyite tactic. The Left succeeded again with another change to our language by insinuating wide acceptance of the oxymoronic phrase, "gay marriage." True marriage had already been under assault from the Left for decades; now so-called "gay marriage" will be the death blow to the meaning of marriage.

Pro-regressive statists want a utopian world where only they can live free and well. Everyone else is fair game. Start with the youngest and most innocent and helpless, move to the elderly (and helpless), then on to feeble-minded and weak-bodied (and thus, helpless). Take away our means to defend ourselves, and ... well, everyone is fair game. Thin the herd so only ´the best´ preside over it.

Pro-regressives don´t believe in God. Therefore, they feel free to BE God and make those life-and-death decisions - who, when, where, how - and rest comfortably at night believing they are ´saving the planet´.

I still feel nauseous from reading McCarthy´s article, but it must be read by all. I like the idea of having it read on the Senate floor.... if Harry Reid can disparage a presidential candidate, with absolutely no back-up proof, and his words are in the Senate record forever, THIS ALSO SHOULD BE.

Perhaps it´s time to re-read the 45 Goals for Communism in America...

I heard a lady who was a child from Hitler´s Germany speak at a Ladies´ Day once and she compared our attitude to abortion to the German´s attitude toward the death camps. She said the Germans knew what was going on, but they hid their faces from it. We do that, today, when we just speak about the women involved and don´t talk about the child being killed. We do it when we use language that dehumanizes the child, like this article says.

Amen # 6 & 10. The nation is being destroyed because these things are tolerated. Most of the population will not understand this because of spiritual blindness. We would be called "bible thumpers" and advised to find new arguments that make the case to people who tolerate this. There are no arguments that can bridge this gap, only conversion can bridge this gap!

We like to think of ourselves as an enlightened and sophisticated culture, yet how can we reconcile that with a culture that has condoned the murder of 60 million babies, just since 1973? And we have a national media that refuses to report on the largest mass murder in our nation´s history. Why is that....is it because Gosnell is black, is it because it is too horrific, or is it because it doesn´t fit the media´s agenda?

With this ghastly situation beginning to see daylight, the memories of the "not quite so ghastly" situation in Kansas a few years back, should be refreshed.

Dr. George Tiller was running a late term abortion (for cash) mill in Wichita, Kansas. His chief protectionist was none other than Kathleen Sebelius, then Governor of Kansas, and now Secretary of Health and Human Services. She is the daughter of "Jack" Gilligan, former Governor of Ohio, and undoubtedly was weaned on political patronage.

Jack Cashill, a thorough investigative journalist, chronicled this as Tiller was tried and acquitted, aided by Sebelius and her bought and paid for AG. This affair will taint Kansas history forever.

One of Cashill´s articles can be read at: http://www.wnd.com/2009/04/93586/

Does anyone seriously believe that Gosnell is the only doctor in the country who has done something like this? This is the logical end-result of the "pro-choice" movement. By the way, de-humanization is the way every atrocity on a mass scale starts, from Hitler to Stalin to Pol Pot, etc.

When conversing with Nazis, Oskar Schindler demonstrated his street creds by referring to his 1,200 workers as "units." For the same reason, it was more comfortable for slave owners to consider the Negro as property rather than human. Like units and chattel, fetuses are dispensable. Query, however: Are those who dispense with them human?

#38, they won´t be alone rotting in hell. Effective as McCarthy is here, few of us would shove this in a pro-choice acquaintance´s face -- we are too polite for that, and too reluctant to cause offense. But I´m (reluctantly) re-examining my own conscience in this. If I fail to condemn murder because I don´t want to personally alienate the murderers, what does that make of me?

We end up in a world where *we* feel *we* are causing offense by condemning murder and racial discrimination. And even though we accept the bowdlerizing terms "abortion procedure" and "affirmative action", that´s what they are, and that´s what we´re silent on. Yep, *we* are afraid to offend the murderers and racists. We want them to like us and say nice things about us. I´m not sure but that doesn´t make us worse than them.

Prayers of thanksgiving and supplication for God´s blessings for Andrew C. McCarthy, and others who are doing the work true journalists are supposed to do regarding the Gosnell case and abortion.

That misnomer, physician, reminded me of a beautiful hymn we sing in worship services sometimes - The Great Physician, Jesus blessed Jesus. He has the power to heal us from even this evil, if we seek his forgiveness, repent and obey his holy will. God is where he always has been. We are the ones who turned away from Him. There is joy in heaven over the repentance of sinners.

Act 17:24-28

24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25 Neither is worshipped with men´s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

As we survey the wreckage of our culture, adjectives lose their meaning as qualifiers of our language. I believe we have reached a point where we can simply describe the Democratic Party as the repository of evil in the world, and view it as the Satanic Party. It is truly Satan´s home away from home.

After WWII journalists took pictures of emaciated, decaying bodies stacked like firewood waiting for the ovens. Would that just one person could photograph one basin of tiny leftover body parts and turn it loose in the social media. The msm will never do it. Many of those undergoing abortion are coaxed into the act by school counselors, embarrassed parents and other "advisors". I do not know a single woman who is not now haunted by what she did.

Vatican’s secret, and deadly,

Inspired by Ancient Egypt, the Vatican embarked on a 40-year quest to preserve the remains of its holy adherents — including one of its latest saints, Pope John XXIII The spiritual making of a saint is rooted in law, bureaucracy and, of course, faith. The physical making of a saint is something else entirely. On April 27, popes John XXIII and John Paul II will be granted sainthood by Pope Francis. It will be a day to honor two of the Catholic Church’s most popular leaders, the “Good Pope” who served only five years, and the superstar who toured the

With many political debates, I try to give opponents the benefit of the doubt on intentions. Sure, raising taxes is a bad thing, but some politicians and pundits believe higher taxes will benefit society. Some people think we need to spend more, and others really fear climate change. When it comes to the HHS abortifacient/contraception/sterilization mandate, however, I’ve almost stopped being that generous with the left’s media and thought leaders. This New York Times Magazine editorial is a prime example as to why. Almost from start to finish, the piece misleads and misdirects readers about the mandate, its opponents, and

Why stop at Crimea? How Putin uses “political myth” to persuade his people they have every right to rebuild their former empire. After the Russian anschluss in Crimea last week, people around the world are asking themselves uneasily: How far will Moscow go?(Snip)Roman Kokorev, a senior researcher in the International Law Department of the Russian Federation government, goes still further. “The next step is Moldova and all Ukraine!!!” he writes on Facebook. He wants all the old territories of the Soviet Union back; he wants Russian military power, once again, to reign supreme. He wants the Baltics and Finland and

KIEV, Ukraine -- A Ukrainian air force commander is being held after his base in Crimea was stormed by pro-Russian forces, and the acting president called for his release Sunday. Col. Yuliy Mamchur is the commander of the Belbek Air Force base near Sevastopol, which was taken over Saturday by forces who sent armored personnel carriers smashing through the base´s walls and fired shots and stun grenades. One Ukrainian serviceman was reported wounded in the clash. It was unclear if the forces, who didn´t bear insignia, were Russian military or local pro-Russia militia. President Oleksandr Turchynov, in a statement, said Mamchur

Barack Obama famously declared, “I’ll tell you right now that I’m. . .a better political director than my political director.” He may be right, but you couldn’t tell from his recent analysis of the upcoming midterm election. Obama claimed that Americans agree with Democrats on every issue, but that Washington politics have “become so toxic” that they aren’t voting.(Snip)The president is either delusional or the most shameless phony ever to occupy the White House. WASHINGTON — Russia’s annexation of Crimea, made official on Friday, was either entirely predictable or a total surprise. Russian President Vladimir Putin is either a madman acting on impulse or a calculating architect rebuilding the Soviet Union. Ukraine’s new leaders might be democratic reformists or, as Putin prefers, “nationalists, neo-Nazis, Russophobes and anti-Semites.” And the United States either wields tough sanctions tools that’ll isolate Moscow -- or has so little influence over events that U.S. policy is outdated and irrelevant.(Snip)President Barack Obama hasn’t offered an explanatory speech to the American people about why the Ukraine-Russia crisis is or isn’t of

Chicago Teachers Union president Karen Lewis wants schools to teach social justice, not “consumerism,” she said in a video. Lewis spoke about ways to avoid “consumerist” messages while teaching subjects typically seen as apolitical, like math, at the annual conference of the Network for Public Education, a progressive advocacy group that backs public schools. “You want to talk about organizing? You want to talk about social justice?” the Chicago union leader asked. “People always talk about how that there’s no political and values in math, that you can teach math without a place for social justice.” “Johnny has five pencils and if he

CVS, the nation’s second-largest pharmacy chain, recently decided to stop selling tobacco products. That was all well and good: There’s nothing objectionable about a corporation making the decision to stop selling a product that is well-known to be harmful. (Though we could have done without the theatrics from President Obama, who felt the need to issue a statement “congratulating” the chain.) More troublingly, last week, the attorneys general of 28 states, led by New York’s Eric Schneiderman and Ohio’s Mike DeWine, sent a vaguely threatening letter to five other large chains—Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Safeway, and Kroger—“urging” them to do

When Washington, D.C., councilman and former Mayor Marion Barry this week said that whites need to be “more open-minded” about African-American politicians, claiming “blacks are more open-minded than” whites, he was suggesting that whites can´t do what blacks do -- embrace the other race. But a new study of 212 black college students made available to Secrets found little open-mindedness: Blacks don´t like it when other blacks associate with whites, to the point of refusing help to an African-American experiencing “a run of bad luck” -- just because they have white friends. Last week Al Sharpton embraced convicted vote fraudster Melowese Richardson at a “voting rights” rally in Cincinnati. The United States Department of Justice under Eric Holder has done nothing to Melowese Richardson 410 days after she admitted on camera that she committed multiple federal felonies by voting six times for President Obama’s reelection. Federal law makes it a felony to vote more than once for President. In fact, 42 U.S.C. Section 1973i(e) subjects Richardson to twenty-five years in federal prison for her six votes for Obama. The lack of DOJ action against an unrepentant federal vote fraudster combined with Richardson’s lionization by
