U.S. debt to hit a gnarly

The ongoing Slowest Recovery Ever has had our economy growing at only meager rates, and yet the federal government is about to collect record revenues — but President Obama’s budget is chock full of new ideas for still more taxes and still more government spending. The Office of Management and Budget reports that, under the president’s budget proposal, he’ll become the first-ever president to break the $4 trillion spending mark for a single year. Peachy, right? From the WSJ: The real news is that his budget ratifies much of the spending increase of the first term

It´s gotten to the point that I cannot even read the WSJ articles. Their morning radio presence borders on satire as they conjure up phrases to make one think that the economy is just fine and , hey!, the Dow made history again today!. This morning they said that although the second quarter is starting out weak , it will get stronger as consumers get used to the the loss of their payroll tax vacation.
Yeah, a lot of things do get better when you get used to them. If it wasn´t all such a big lie, it would be comical.

78% isn´t good enough for Barry and his libtards. He wants that number up to 130%. That way he can succeed in Biden´s words that their ultimate goal is a new world order.

Late last year, when President Obama reviewed the draft of a speech he was scheduled to give on economic inequality, he sent it back with a request: He wanted his speechwriter to add a quote from Pope Francis’s recent letter to the Catholic church. “Across the developed world, inequality has increased,” Obama said in the Dec. 4 speech. “Some of you may have seen just last week, the pope himself spoke about this at eloquent length. ‘How could it be,’ he wrote, ‘that it’s not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it is news

Jeb Bush‘s been touted by a number of people as a potential contender for 2016, but his own mother doesn’t like the idea of going to the same political families every election cycle, saying that there are more people to look to than the “Kennedys, Clintons, [and] Bushes” to turn to when there are plenty more qualified people who would make good presidents. Bush said, “If we can’t find more than two or three families to run for high office, that’s silly, because there are great governors and great eligible people to run.” She admitted that while she believes her son Jeb

Months and months ago, when Barack Obama could be bothered to say anything at all about the attacks in Ben-ghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, the president promised to bring the perpetrators to justice. That was before White House spokesman Jay Carney dismissed the attacks as something that “happened a long time ago.” It’s been 16 months. The U.S. government has neither captured nor killed a single participant in those attacks, which left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead. Why? Obamacare is no longer a theoretical proposition. It is now being implemented, if with some notable exceptions for the portions of the law the Obama administration finds particularly inconvenient. Millions of Americans are experiencing its consequences directly, and millions more are forming their opinions of it based on what they are hearing of its effects. Those opinions are generally not positive. The fact that many of the law’s congressional supporters are now running scared for fear of voter backlash is a good indication of how poorly the rollout is going. Obamacare’s travails seem likely to play into the hands of

An obscure academic organization called the American Studies Association not long ago voted to endorse a resolution calling for a boycott of Israeli universities. The self-appointed moralists were purportedly outraged over the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians. Given academia’s past obsessions with the Jewish state, the targeting of Israel is not new. Yet why do the professors focus on Israel and not Saudi Arabia, which denies women the right to drive and only recently granted them the right to vote? Why not Russia, which has been accused of suppressing free speech, or India, which has passed retrograde anti-homosexual legislation? The hip poet Amiri

Canada bluntly told the United States on Thursday to settle the fate of TransCanada Corp´s proposed Keystone XL pipeline, saying the drawn-out process on whether to approve the northern leg of the project was taking too long. The hard-line comments by Foreign Minister John Baird were the clearest sign yet that Canada´s Conservative government has lost patience over what it sees as U.S. foot-dragging. Baird also conceded that Washington might veto the project, the first admission of its kind by a Canadian government minister. Two pictures show a Marine pouring what looks like gasoline on the remains of enemy soldiers and another two images appear to show the remains go up in flames.
