Why They Won’t Talk
About Kermit Gosnell

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 4/11/2013 11:17:15 PM

In 2011, the journalist Mara Hvistendahl published Unnatural Selection: Choosing Boys Over Girls, and the Consequences of a World Full of Men, detailing the societal effects of sex-selective abortions that target women the world over and resulted in the absence of perhaps more than 100 million girls who by now should have been born. But Hvistendahl soon learned the downside to uncovering what many believe to be a shocking trend in human rights offenses: people will want to do something about it. And so she lashed out, declaring that “anti-abortion activists

I heard about it first from a relative who lives in the area, and local newspapers covered it. I expected the MSM to cover it nationwide, but not a peep.

Thank heavens for Lucianne and Drudge.

Abortions are supposed to be dirty little secrets that are done without details emerging about the brutal process.

This intern is showing a tremendous amount of courage testifying against this monster doctor and hopefully she´ll gain redemption for her role in assisting these murders.

The abortion industry isn´t about helping girls/women finding themselves in a no other way out jam. These people idolize the culture of being legalized murderers.

When you have a president who would want his own daughters to get an abortion as opposed to being "punished" with a baby.it really explains why Obama is so popular with the extreme left in this country.

The left´s war on morality takes on many different faces such as opposing the death penalty for heinous criminals while killing innocent babies willy nilly.Of course easy money is also a component if you´re a cold hearted bastid doctor, who´s supposed to be in the business of saving lives.

From what I´ve heard doctors are no longer required to take the Hippocratic oath.

On the other end of life, you have the left pushing euthanasia, while most people think it´s God´s job to determine when you die.

The Gosnell case reveals details of the unimaginably evil procedure of abortion. Because of liberal ideology and the fear that "people will want to do something about it," the MSM remains silent and, therefore, complicit in the horrific killing of the not-yet born.

Thank you, Lucianne and Drudge. Your tireless work to convey truth is very much appreciated.

Must read. The media´s refusal to even report one story on this disgusts me. The elites won´t inform the citizenry, because the rabble might connect the dots in regards to democrats and their obsession with abortion. The peasants can´t be allowed to know what late late term abortion really is.

Brian Williams had time to open his show with Todd Akin and how Sandra Fluke was "hurt" by Rush Limbaugh, didn´t he? Joe Scarborough has time to party with Chuck Schumer on a yacht this week, but if this subject comes up on his show, the right people won´t come on.

"The media should be ashamed beyond description for this behavior. The American left should come to terms with what it means to talk about a human life as if it were a parasite, or merely a clump of cells. And they should most certainly stop lecturing the rest of us on compassion, on pity, on social obligation, on morality."

This story comes too close to the truth of what the abortion business is all about. People imagine frail little pregnant victims terminating a pregnancy in a sterile environment with compassionate caretakers. In reality it is cold hearted murder. The media can´t afford to expose that to the public.

#8, Agree. That quote from the article is powerful. Truth has a tendancy to cut to the bone. I have read the Grand Jury transcript online and it is very very difficult to read. It is horrific and I don´t believe anyone could read it and not be moved. One description of just the facility was that it was dirtier than the filthiest of gas station bathrooms. What went on between the walls of that clinic will break your heart and give you a vivid picture of pure evil. Of course, the media won´t report on this story. It sheds the light of truth on the progressives´ holy grail of abortion rights. The only comfort I find is knowing that those blessed innocent children are now in the arms of a loving God.

The article mentions all-around nice gal Margaret Sanger; hero to millions of abortion aficionados. It´s not widely know, but Planned Parenthood was not the first choice of name for her organization. It was Killing Darkies is Good Clean Fun. Why do liberals ignore her racist/eugenicist fervor, both admired and emulated by Hitler?

FTA: "“Opponents of a woman’s right to choose could easily seize upon Margaret Sanger’s eugenic rhetoric to discredit the admirable work of Planned Parenthood today; I oppose such misuse."

And thus their need for the coverup. The abortion industry could not operate were it not for the lies and deception perpetrated by Planned Parenthood. And Black´s comments on his opposition to "such misuse" is just confirmation that the only way they can succeed is by covering up the truth.

Let´s not ignore the other elephant in the room ... Dr. Gosnell is black. Think that has nothing to do with what he has done, and this case? The vaunted Margaret Sanger´s goal was to rid America of negroes. This doctor has the same combo-skintone as our current King of America, who also supports this horrid industry (and it IS an MONEY-MAKING INDUSTRY), right on up to these late third trimester murders. There IS a connection to be made here.

I´d like to see Ed Henry ask about this at the next Jay Carney Show and see what happens. I know the answer will be of the ´no comment´ genre but I´d love to see the reaction.

They target the most helpless. First, these innocent new lives. Currently, it´s the elderly in the cross-hairs. Next will be ..... ???? Living Downs children? Mentally ill? Anyone over 40?

Carrousel at 30? The Elites need more space and money, and stuff, for themselves and the Utopia they have in mind for themselves. (Legalized murder and taking guns away to prevent self-defense is critical for their purpose.)

There´s a rule all Americans must learn....

ANYTHING the goooooberment touches turns out badly....

WE all knew the abortion factories were in the business of killing babies -- now WE see it in the headlines....

Does that diminish alllllll the lives that have been lost thanks in part to our secretary of health, sebilus(sp?)?

Just because WE don´t know of their tragic ends -- doesn´t mean WE have forgotten them -- all those precious Americans who were sacrificed on the altar of Planned Parenthood....

This is outside of Gosnell case of wholesale murder.
It came to mind that this White House´s, invention of Obama Care(not) {AHCA}, now adds ailing senior citizens and the seriously ill to the acts of euthanasia upon those whose illnesses cost too much for care and medicines that extend their life and those who are suffering incurable diseases.
Cancers stricken, HIV, Hepatitis, Cerebral Palsy, Genetic ailments like MS, Cystic Fibrosis, Downs. Parkinson´s, Cerebral Palsy...get the picture?
Affordable Care Act...is a cover for the Legalized Killing of those who are too costly to care for be they young or old.
Family Planning is the doorway to wholesale Murder.

Another "Helen Keller moment" for Kirsten Powers.
I have enjoyed following her maturing into a rational thinker as she has more exposure on FNC.
While she is still pretty liberal/left wing on many things, her eyes are opening wider and wider as she debates on various FNC programs and actually listens to the "other side" of an issue, sees common sense more clearly..and most importantly..LEARNS.

Abortion is a cash business that gets a pass on any type of regulation out of the so called need to protect the customer´s privacy and because the operators fan the flames that regulation would be an excuse for the pro life forces to curtail the business.

Those conditions are far more likely to draw MDs with weak credentials and bad attitudes plus business managers with connections to Tony and da boyz than modern day versions of Dr. Marcus Welby.

The Supreme Court has said women have a right to choose. It did not state the obvious: Their right to choose consists of either death for the baby or life for the baby. The women at Gosnell´s clnic chose death for their babies and Gosnell deliered the result they "chose".

The preference world wide for boys has created an imbalance which has had many repercussions on society. The civilizing influence of women has been weakened. We have many more bully boys than formerly. They are now so numerous that violence against women can be committed with impunity.

This could be the spark that starts a change of heart in the American people who still cling to the idea that abortion is only about a "choice" and not a human baby. Spread the word.

To me, Kermit Gosnell is the face and soul of the Democrats. Monsters dehumanizing everyone around them in pursuit of personal power. I would add ´influence´ to that statement except for one thing.

They don´t seek to influence people, they expect them to see their superiority and be influenced. Any thing less is failure on YOUR part. After all, they are god. We are just figments created to amused and entertain them.

"Powers is right when she says the alleged revelations about Gosnell ´should shock anyone with a heart.´ Which is precisely what the press is avoiding."

The MSM are ignoring the story because they are fearful of accidentally divulging their true beliefs and intentions and sending Americans into the streets with pitchforks and torches headed for the local newspaper office (and the homes of its owners). The MSM has been taken over by the same godless, amoral elitists who run the government and the entertainment business. They have NO regard for human life. Well, ... OUR human lives anyway.

Late term abortions certainly don´t bother them, because killing full term babies is acceptable to them. Heck, listen carefully and you will hear them express their approval of involuntarily euthanizing old people. They know best who deserves to live and who does not, and it is not for the rest of us to know or question their motives or reasoning. They are the Masters of the Universe and the rest of us are just LITTLE people.

Of course the MSM will not cover this story. And it is not our place to question why not.

I believe the media is blocking coverage of the Gosnell abortion/infanticide story, because it harkens back to Obama´s views and votes in the Illinois State Senate. He was then actively protecting, the very horrors that Gosnell commited. The media are covering for their boy, as well as their liberal/progressive religious sacrament of abortion, always.

I somewhat disagree.

They won´t talk about it because they don´t have to. No one will hold them accountable. Republican and conservative leaders will not speak up. Even the churches are quiet on this one.

Why should they? They control the flow of information, they have used it to implement socialism on a broad scale, and they will continue to use it to blame the inevitable downfall of this country on those who opposed them.

They know history is written by the victors and they are winning.

It subverts the dominant paradigm.
Just use logic.
Abortion is good.
Gosnell is an abortionist.
Therefore Gosnell is good.
Just ignore the fact that the formal logic is not valid.

No directions have come from the WH to make this issue public, therefore it will not be made public. What we need to know is decided at 1500 PA Ave NW in DC, and nowhere else.

It is just Government censorship. Get over it.

Sexual freedom is the First Commandment of Progressives.

It means that birth control must be supplied free of charge and free of interference, even to minors. It means that those who neglect birth control are protected from the consequences by universally available abortion. It means that slackers who fail to get early abortions can get extremely late abortions. It means that "products of conception" can be killed, even when they are very, very viable outside the womb.

It means that liberal actors and politicians can rape underage women or unwilling mature women and not be charged. It means that men can have unprotected sex with men and not be reported anywhere as a risk to public health when they become carriers of AIDS.

Perhaps the Progessives have gone a bridge too far with Kermit Gosnell. I doubt it, though. To them, sexual freedom is worth any price, including murder.

#15 makes a good point - Gosnell´s race may be part of the reason the MSM are trying to ignore the story.

This reminds me of a similarly horrific case in Boston back in the ´70s:
The case of Dr Kenneth Edelin. Edelin also happened to be black. Edelin was performing a "salting out" abortion procedure on a woman in a late stage of pregnancy. But despite the salt poisoning, the baby, a little boy, was born alive, and he struggled to breathe.

At that point Dr Edelin strangled the baby. (The MSM softened the description by saying he "applied pressure to the fetus´s neck.") A brave nurse was shocked, and reported the obvious case of infanticide. Edelin went to trial before a liberal Boston jury ... and voila, was acquitted, to great celebration by the MSM.

In the aftermath of the acquittal, Edelin was so worshipped by the powers-that-be that he was promoted to head the medical school at Boston University, as I recall.

As to poster #3, there are decent people who actually think life does begin before a certain point, and though I disagree, THIS is not what is in question here. These are babies born alive, and their spinal cords are snipped. (Obama, by the way, voted TWICE for a Illinois bill that allowed babies born alive after abortions to be put in a linen closet and left to die.)

I think the focus, as long as Roe v. Wade is good law, should be on outlawing all late-term abortions. It won´t be easy--remember the fight over "partial-birth abortions?"--but I do think there is some common ground there with people who support some, but not unlimited, abortion rights.

I originally did not read the rare Gosnell articles
because I got the gist-a doctor botched an abortion
and a woman died.
I think that´s the way the media wants to portray this.
When I decided to see what this was about ,
it became clear that the story was actually
about a mass murderer.
Who used full term abortions to get his victims.
No different than if he went into hospital NICUs and nurseries and went bassinet to bassinet with
a knife and decapitated hundreds,
if not thousands of infants.
The Grand Jury report that # 33 referenced
is horrific and gruesome and
the photos of murdered full term infants will haunt.
The clinic filth is indescribable and the state officials in Pennsylvania permitted this situation to exist for over a decade.
Someone there should also be brought up on charges and a massive investigation launched.
Were officials paid off by Gosnell ?
Unlike Adam Lanza , James Holmes and Jared Loughner , Gosnell did not have a history of mental illness , he did not use a gun
nor was he a white twentysomething.
But, his list of nameless murdered children is just as newsworthy .
The number of murdered infants must
be much , much higher than the hundred estimated by the Grand Jury report if the staff accomplices are to be believed.
It may be the crime of the century.

Reading articles like this one really getsy dander up. I wish there was something I could do to put a stop to this type of carnage.

The left uses words like "choice" or "woman´s right to chose" etc. for a procedure that is nothing more that a form of birth control. Period. There is no other reason. All the other words and phrases are just smoke screens. If I had my way about it, abortion would be outlawed. Period. And anyone who performs one would be charged with first degree murder. And so would the mother. And any organization that helped with the procedure would be charged as an accessory. And the penalties would be VERY severe.

I wonder of any of these monsters have ever looked in a small child´s eyes and see what is there. When I do, my heart just melts.

Criminal negligence on the part of the MSM. It is an open and shut case, even before the Gosnell cover-up. Is there really no one willing to sue, no good lawyers able to prosecute, these brazenly corrupt "news" organizations? No one in the entire country? The evidence against them could not be any stronger.

Yes, Gosnell is a monster beyond description. Who with a mind or conscience could do those things? But, more importantly and with much more monstrossness, the media that serves this society- think of their management´s mind sets- to know this is going on and yet refuse to report it. They stand behind this behavior a thousand fold and their responsibility is likewise compounded!

Our local paper, The Anchorage Daily News, a McClatchy owned arm of the AP, has censored comments about Gosnell. I saw todays paper and NO mention of Gosnell so I tried to paste this link. IT WAS DENIED. I will keep trying in every article in every newspaper. Links to Gosnell should be plastered into every comment section until Gosnell is as notorious as Manson.

Wiki is trying to delete the story about Kermit Gosnell on the ground it´s "not a national story."

Someone who has Wiki rights (not me) should create links to these and other stories showing the blackout on Wiki itself.

At the least, it would make it more embarassing for wiki to delete the story.

There have been an estimated 54,559,615 abortions since the Supreme Court handed down 1973 Roe vs. Wade.

Six million Jews murdered in WWI vs fifty four million, five hundred fifty nine thousand, six hundred fifteen and counting babies murdered in the name of birth control.

Where´s your horror in this wholesale genocide number?

Where is HLN"S (subsidiary of CNN) Nancy Grace "The Victims´ Advocate" when you need her? No, she has an every night slime fest repeating the uber salacious sexual material of the jodi Arias trial. These are the bottom feeders of the MSR and indicate where we are going as a culture.

The abortion trial is being covered by one of our local newspapers as we are w/i the Philadelphia viewing area. Beyond the horrific tragedy of abortions, what this speaks to me of is the rampant, free floating, marauding "EVIL" which is in the USA now: Lanza killing tiny toddlers; The other shootings by the "mentally ill" (maybe they were just open to The Destroyer?) Beyonce dancing like a pole dancer at the Superbowl; the filth on cable tv. Wide Spread break-ins perpetrated by drug addicts; Cheating at Harvard. We have become a nation that not only does not fear EVIL, but denies it´s existence. Read the Unitarian philosophy: "The only evil is ignorance". No. EVIL exists in and of itself; always has and always will. EVIL exists in non-ignorant persons. EVIL is rampant. And our only defense is God.

All of my adult life I havehad this saying: "Liberals will get you killed"...Never has it been truer than in regards to this horrendous story!

Poor little defenseless babies getting killed...dont say "aborted", thats another cute agenda term like homophobe and sexist and racist and jingoist, etc etc, bla bla..No, its MURDER, and it should be called KILLED, not aborted..Common sense dictates that, but have you often felt that common sense is sorely lacking in lefties and their offspring? I SURE HAVE!!!

If a civil war should break out soon in this country, woe is the side that preaches MURDER!

I do not think skin color/ race is as much a factor in this case as is victim politics. The victims of this story do not fit the media narrative.

As for skin color - remember the late term abortionist Dr. Tiller in Kansas? His work was largely ignored by the media until someone shot him. Even then, most news stories about the shooting focused on the anti-abortion views of his killer and treated Tiller like a hero-victim. Both of them are/were white.

Only six out of 50 states have abortion clinic regulations. Which means, most clinics are not monitored in any way, shape or form. Attempts to do so are immediately procaimed to be "unconstitutional" by abortion supporters and challenged in the courts.

Truth always seems to be a casualty whenever an issue with moral implications is politicized. Politicians (in this case democrats and their media supporters) grab the low hanging, emotionally-charged fruit and leave the rest (more weightier matters) on the vine. Abortion becomes the right to choose what one does with ones´ lady parts. And, the ´right´ to an abortion supercedes any state/local government attempts to impose sound medical practices, cleanliness standards or parental consent on its´ practitioners. The regulations I´ve seen so far are typical of a medical facility or doctors´ office. Organizations that are truly concerned about the welfare of women should welcome laws demanding a higher standard of care. Not so with the abortion industry or its´ political/news media supporters. Money suppresses truth and feeings matter more than common sense.

I too, am thankful that every one of those beautiful babies is in the hands of a loving God. Marana tha!

Years ago the boomers were reviled as a "lost generation". The boomers are keeping this Nation afloat, while every single day their essential values are attacked in the MSM. With the rising increase of illegals and their (legal) infants, going into the future, where is the populace to support ever growing social benefits program. If you read that story and look in the comments you can see how the leftist death cult is going to play it. It took them a while to come up with their talking points but this is what we´ll be seeing as they´re forced to mention this story:

"This is what happens when the anti-choice movement has an effect on abortion laws. These poor women were forced to go to someone disreputable because of pro-lifers."

This is how it´s going to be reported starting next Monday when a few more media outlets will begrudgingly attend the trial.

When has a secretary of state been involved in so many disastrous, self-initiated negotiations? First, John Kerry convenes — against all advice and holding no cards — Geneva negotiations to resolve the Syria conflict and supposedly remove Bashar al-Assad from power. The talks collapse in acrimony and confusion. Kerry’s response? A second Geneva conference that — surprise! — breaks up in acrimony and confusion. Then, even as Russian special forces are taking over Crimea, Kerry goes chasing after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov — first to Paris, then Rome, then London — offering a diplomatic “offramp.” Lavrov shrugs him off.
