During the Q and A session after Sen. Rand Paul’s speech at Howard University, one student explained that he was not a fan of his view of government. “You say you want to provide a government that leaves us alone, quite frankly, I don’t want that,” the student said. “I want a government that is going to help me.” The student insisted that he wanted assistance for his college education and asked if Rand Paul supported a culture change within the nation. “Do you Sen. What a pathetic person. What a sad worldview that any one of us would desire government "help" more than individual liberty.

Dictators love weak attitudes like this, and our current federal government has many dictatorial attributes. God help us.

This "student" has the same attitude as the losers during Katrina when they took over and destroyed a $100 million dollar stadium after being "rescued" from a roof! They never consider "helping" themselves, but then why should they when racist-democrats continue to keep them in their place, so they will vote the "right" way. BTW, If obama had a son.....

THIS is why this country is headed for a historical period of decline and why I´m glad I´m getting old.

There´s no changing this mindset overnight, it took 50 years to be put in place, these people will have to pass away before we climb out of this.

My answer to him would be: If a boy next door or across the street that you didn´t know asks you to help pay for his college education for 4 years, what would you say?

When he refuses because of his own financial circumstances then he should have an idea of why taxpayers don´t want to contribute to his education.

That´s why they have Scholarships and Student Loans. If he doesn´t understand it by then maybe he needs to redo high school from a school that teaches rather than indoctrinates.

Yeah, I would have liked some assistance with my college education, too. I had a 4.0 GPA and was on the Dean´s Honor List every semester, but every scholarship available during the 5 years I got my Associates and Bachelors degrees were limited to minorities and females. They might have well just said, "White Males need not apply."
That limited me to school loans and Workstudy. It´s all a racket. Tuition was always due a week before the loan got to me, so it had to go on my credit card. I honestly believe it´s all collusion between the school, government, and the credit card companies.

Per the Communist Party USA...

"The children will reap all the benefits of socialist child care, free nurseries and schools with the very best facilities and teachers. Children will have wonderful recreational and sports facilities. They will have the option to choose whatever career they wish, and the free education and training to achieve it.

Some ask whether guaranteeing basic necessities, free education and health care will encourage people to avoid working, or doing one´s best. The principle of socialism is: From each according to his/her ability, to each according to his/her work."

Of course the last word of the last paragraph is NOT what Marx taught. The word was Need and not Work. In any case, as is Obama, this kid is a disciple.

Kids born out of wedlock, kids born out of gay unions & the like don´t really have two parents they can grow up relying on. Gov´t is the de facto "Mom & Dad" - it is all a conspiracy to substitute gov´t for a real family & buy their loyalty.

We MUST get rid of the Federal Department of Education, and take back educating our young to the local districts, which would choose the course of study to exclude all the social crap.
Think about it, little boys get punished for munching a pop tart into a gun shape, or point a finger like a gun and get punished. By the time they are 21 they will be terrified at the thought of a gun.

Vegetarians also have a higher socioeconomic status and a lower body mass index. But the vegetarian diet — characterized by a low consumption of saturated fats and cholesterol that includes increased intake

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Friday stood by his statement regarding embattled Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, saying on KSNV’s What’s Your Point?, “If anyone thinks by any figment of their imagination that what happened up there last week was just people rallying to somebody that was oppressed, 600 people came in armed. They had practiced. They had maneuvered.” Reid continued, “They knew what they were doing. They set up snipers in strategic locations with sniper rifles. They had assault weapons.
