Daughter of Sandy Hook Principal
Calls Out Senators for Not
Taking Her Calls

The daughter of the school principal killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre called out U.S. senators who are threatening a filibuster on gun control for failing to take her phone calls, and Gov. Dannel Malloy lent his voice this afternoon to help her get calls back. Erica Lafferty tweeted on Tuesday that she was going through the list of U.S. senators threatening to filibuster and calling them one by one. On Tuesday morning, she tweeted a photo of her sister’s wedding where the bride is kissing her mother’s check. (Snip) One senator, Ted Cruz of Texas,

Having a sad story does not put you ahead of the rest of us. If you want to talk to the Senators - get in the back of the line.

Your state sweetie, has decided to throw in with the 2nd amendment deniers and create more target rich environments for future shooters. Get mad at your state officials and Governor. I am, because now the rest of the Country gets to live through some future horror because people are now not allowed to Constitutionally defend themselves.

You want to get mad? Get mad at the libs and all of those who set it up so that people with mental issues can´t be given the help they need. Instead, they get mind altering drugs so that the issue is ´kicked´ down the road for others to deal with.

That is what killed your mom. Not Republicans not taking you calls or for having the guts to stand for what they believe.

During the run up to the passage of Obamacare ,
Democrats often hid from constituents.
They refused to hold town meetings , which enraged all of us and made them look guilty.
Ted Cruz spoke with the principal´s daughter for 20 minutes.
The rest are hiding ,
just like Democrats always do.
Taking a few minutes to return the phone call from the daughter of the principal murdered
in Sandy Hook would have been a better pubic relations
move than to be called out like this.
It plays right into the Democrat´s hands.

I re-iterate my point that her mother would likely be alive today had she had a concealed weapon carrier available in the school, and so might any or many of the children. Gun free zones? - such a joke, such an invitation to mayhem and murder. Obama said yesterday in front of the Newtown families being used as propaganda tools "we´ve got to make it harder to gun down our kids". People for heaven´s sake, think abot those words.

If the senators allow this emotional blackmail then the primarying should start immediately for each and every one who caves in the face of this.

Facts are the only thing that can counter the emotionalist argument toward tyranny.

Exactly, #10. The principal was one of the first people to see Adam Lanza come through the front door. Had she been armed with just one little gun, she could have saved 26 lives. Get mad about that Miss Lafferty, not about a bunch of do-nothing congressmen. They stopped listening to the people long ago.

Your mother bravely confronted an armed man while unarmed. It was an unfair fight and she lost. Had she been armed, she would have had a better chance, but banning guns from law-abiding citizens in an idealistic atempt to make sure such killings never happen again is as misguided as trying to ban alcohol or cars because you lost a relative to a drunk driving acident.

And I suppose I should point out that the Columbine killers were far less successful at killing students than they planned because their bomb didn´t work. Had their home made bomb worked rather than just using guns, they could have killed around 300 students instead of around a dozen. The Oklahoma City bombing also killed about as many young children as died at Sandy Hook as part of a much larger body count and they weren´t even the target of the bomb. Hope killers stick to the guns because if they switch to bombs and make them well, a lot more people will die.

Your mom was killed because the school was a gun free zone and none of the teachers were allowed to be armed nor was an armed security guard allowed due to the gun control laws that you and your fellow democrats in the lost state of connecticut voted for. If the teachers were permitted to carry guns your mom would still be alive. That is why your mom is dead and now you want to impose your lethal laws on the rest of us?

Deal with your guilt honestly. Go away.

To a mass-murderer, a gun-free zone is a target-rich environment. They´ll have at least 5 minutes of unimpeded shooting before someone who can shoot back arrives.

When seconds count, the police will be there in minutes.

Just as the daughter of the slain principal would never be chosen for a jury at the trial of the perpetrator, her personal opinions about legislation related to the crime have to be considered biased and therefore inadmissible in a matter of deliberative reason such as legislation. She is free to express her opinions about gun control as an American citizen - but there is less, not more reason to listen to them, and precisely because of what she and her family have suffered. She cannot possibly be objective.

How sad that a daughter of a School Principal doesn´t know her Civics.

I have known for years that most Congressmen and Senators will not respond to email, letters or phone calls if the individual is NOT from their district. Even personal visits you most likely will end up talking to one of their Staff members instead.

They get hundreds of calls, emails, letters and visits every day and they can´t keep up with everyone from the entire country.

We´ve all see these online ballots that they will contact your Congressmen or Senators, or the numerous polls that will go to them.

Ever wonder how much attention they actually pay to them? Well if you got a million emails in one day how many of them would you read?

My congresscritters say telephone or email... Then at least SOMEONE will see or hear what you have to say.

Guinea faces an Ebola epidemic on an unprecedented scale as it battles to contain confirmed cases now scattered across several locations that are far apart, medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres said on Monday. The warning from an organization used to tackling Ebola in Central Africa comes after Guinea´s president appealed for calm as the number of deaths linked to an outbreak on the border with Liberia and Sierra Leone hit 80. The outbreak of one of the world´s most lethal infectious diseases has spooked a number of governments with weak health systems, prompting Senegal to close its border with Guinea

With government spending at 50% of the gross domestic product, the 28 countries of the European Union have pursued economic policies that generate inflation to spike tax collections by pushing their citizens into higher progressive tax brackets. Having stifled economic growth and used inflation to tax away prosperity, European elites should panic. Both Europe and America
