College stabbing suspect Dylan Quick
planned spree for some time,
fantasized about killing since
elementary school: police

The 20-year-old Lone Star College student accused of stabbing 14 of his classmates told investigators he’d been planning the spree for some time and had fantasies of stabbing people to death since his elementary school days. So vicious were the random, building-to-building attacks carried out by Dylan Andrew Quick that his thrusts left pieces of a razor-type knife in at least one of his 14 victims, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday night.

Will the President fly to Texas today? Will he take the families of these victims for a free trip to the White House via Air Force 1? I think not! No political capital in banning knives.

There are over 3 billion unregistered knives in the hands of the public. And 0 background checks were run.

This is a trap. Don´t walk into it. Once we get them to get the crazies off the street, then THEY can decide who is crazy. Are you crazy because you´re conservative? Let´s herd you into a building with bars on the windows and keepers at the doors.

The real problem is the schools and the things your children are being taught with "entertainment."

#14, have you ever tried to buy a handgun? It isn´t the simplest process to go through. Ask Gabby Gifford´s husband. When he tried to buy a handgun he had to wait 2 weeks for his background check, and then he was denied it because he only wanted to "prove how easy it is to purchase a gun".
Would you classify Adam Lanza as mentally ill? He obviously was, but that didn´t stop him from fantasizing, planning and carrying out his fantasies.

HIs name is Dylan. Like Dylan Klebold, of Columbine infamy. Not proclaiming a name trend here -- not predicting that the next mass murderer will be named Dylan.

But the name "Dylan" does remind me that this kind of mass shooting is a phenomenon of the "Echo Baby Boom" generation, i.e. the generation of children born to Baby Boomers.

Echo Boomers were born between 1980 and 2000. That pretty much coincides the birth date range of school shooters. And like the name "Dylan," it gives you some idea of what the shooters´ Boomer parents were like.

Boomers´ children were more likely to be dumped in day care, to have been "entertained" by violent video games, and to have been overmedicated, than any previous generation.
All of those trends were devastating to children.

We need common sense knife laws. First, we need knife locks. Second, we need to ensure that scary looking knives are outlawed. We need to eliminate the edge on knives so that they can´t cut through melted butter or people. And we need to start knife registration so we can track down who owned the knife used in a crime. Dulling the edge serves two proposes. One is it makes the knife less lethal and two that is one less sharp object for liberals to play with.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day.
