North Korea may be planning a
nuclear test and missile launch - reports

Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 4/7/2013 10:32:47 PM

North Korea appears to be preparing a fourth underground nuclear weapons test at Punggye-ri, the site of its previous test, a South Korean government source says. Pyongyang appeared to be making preparations for the test, according to a South Korean government source speaking to the country’s Joong Ang Daily newpaper. This comes on the heels of the South’s defence ministry reports that Pyongyang could perform a mid-range missile test-launch by Wednesday – also the deadline it has given to foreign diplomats to evacuate, as their safety would reportedly no longer be guaranteed

Comments:
This article points out that Hagel stopped a ICBM test from Vandenberg in an attempt not to provoke the Norks. This whole situation is spiraling out of control and as we know, 0bama had time to hit the golf course yesterday. I repeat that there is no doubt in my mind that Iran is using this "tension" to continue their nuclear program as no one may be watching them. A nuke test & missile firings. I would bet that all are going to happen & 0bama will wee-wee in his pants.

Danger we face may be from Obama, not North Koreans. Obama may use this crisis to negotiate the removal of US troops from SK in exchange for Pyongyang´s nuclear warheads and the closing, yet again, of NK´s nuclear weapons facility. To demonstrate Obama´s generosity, he´ll throw in $2 billion in oil and $3 billion in rice and grain.

Removing our "tripwire" of 28,000 troops will provide NK with a win over the US and the opportunity for a conventional invasion of the South as we continue to disarm. Since Obama hates American history, he doesn´t know an earlier Democratic president declared that the SK peninsula was outside of our defense interest. This prompted the grandfather of the current despotic boy king to launch the Korean War.

The NK´s better be careful before they get slapped with another round of UN sanctions.

I´d hate to think what would have happened if Obama was handling the nuclear crisis with Russia and Cuba instead of JFK.

Federal prosecutors are trying to thwart the easy access that predatory lenders and dubious online merchants have to Americans’ bank accounts by going after banks that fail to meet their obligations as gatekeepers to the United States financial system. The Justice Department is weighing civil and criminal actions against dozens of banks, sending out subpoenas to more than 50 payment processors and the banks that do business with them, according to government officials. In the new initiative, called “Operation Choke Point,” the agency is scrutinizing banks both big and small over whether they, in exchange for handsome fees, enable businesses

Washington - The risk that President Obama may be forced to pull all American troops out of Afghanistan by the end of the year has set off concerns inside the American intelligence agencies that they could lose their air bases used for drone strikes against Al Qaeda in Pakistan and for responding to a nuclear crisis in the region. (Snip) If Mr. Obama ultimately withdrew all American troops from Afghanistan, the C.I.A.’s drone bases in the country would have to be closed, according to administration officials, because it could no longer be protected. Cairo - Islamist militants shot down an Egyptian military helicopter in the Sinai Peninsula with a surface-to-air missile over the weekend, raising new alarms about the terrorist insurgency that developed there in response to the military takeover last summer. The attack — described by witnesses, documented in a video released by the militants, and confirmed by three people briefed on the Egyptian government’s investigation — validated longstanding fears that such weapons would spill into Egypt and beyond after the Libyan civil war tore open Col. Washington - The US military launched a missile strike in Somalia on Sunday targeting a suspected Shabaab militant leader, defense officials said. One of the officials said an unmanned drone launched the missile in the late evening hours, but declined to confirm the suspect´s identity or whether the strike was successful. The US government has "been tracking this guy for years," the official told AFP on condition of anonymity. A second US official said the strike in the southeastern port town of Barawe "was against a senior Shabaab commander." Tunis - Tunisia´s national assembly approved the country´s new constitution on Sunday in one of the last steps to establishing full democracy three years after the uprising that toppled autocrat Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali. Just before the constitution vote, Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa appointed a caretaker cabinet as part of a deal to end a crisis between Tunisia´s Islamist party and its secular opposition until new elections this year. Tunisia´s new constitution and progress contrasts sharply with messy transitions in Libya, Egypt and Yemen which are still caught up in turmoil after ousting their own long-standing leaders in 2011 revolts and

When President Obama delivers his State of the Union address Tuesday night, many federal employees will be listening to what the boss-in-chief has to say about them. They shouldn’t get their hopes up too high. Obama has given scant attention to federal employees in his previous State of the Union speeches. Don’t expect this year to be different. One mention was in 2011, when he said: “We’ve frozen the salaries of hard-working federal employees for the next two years.” Two years became three. Of course, everyone with a just cause or a pet project wants a mention in the State of the Union. It is a high-profile address

San Francisco - Intel plans to trim more than 5,000 jobs from its workforce this year in an effort to boost its earnings amid waning demand for its personal computer chips. The Santa Clara, California, company confirmed the job cuts on Friday, the day after it reported its profit and revenue had fallen for the second consecutive year. The purge represents about 5% of the roughly 108,000 jobs that Intel had on its payroll at the end of December. The company intends to jettison the jobs without laying off workers, said Intel spokesman Bill Calder. The reductions instead will be achieved through attrition, buyouts and early retirement offers.

Stephen Hawking has produced a "mind-bending" new theory that argues black holes do not actually exist - at least not in the way we currently perceive them. Instead, in his paper, Information Preservation and Weather Forecasting for Black Holes, Hawking proposes that black holes can exist without 'event horizons', the invisible cover believed to surround every black hole.During a previous lecture, 'Into the Black Hole', Hawkins described an event horizon as the boundary of a black hole, "where gravity is just strong enough to drag light back, and prevent it escaping".
“Falling through the event horizon, is a bit like going over Niagara Falls in a canoe", he said. "If you are above the falls, you can get away if you paddle fast enough, but once you are over the edge, you are lost. There's no way back.

All for $80 a year. Whether or not people need two-day shipping, a few things seem to happen once they

In the column Hicks offers his eyewitness testimony to the security issues that Stevens dealt with at our Libyan facilities before his death. The redacted report of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Committee that was released on January 15 has left some to draw the conclusion that Stevens rejected additional security and to imply that he is responsible for the success
