Hard to conceive:
Plan B for kids

Boston Herald, by Margery Eagan

No doubt there are parents who have frank, frequent, open and easy discussions with their teens about sex. I’ve never met any. I do know parents, however, who were stunned to find their 15-year-old’s birth control pills in her pocketbook. Or who came home early to discover junior and a girl they’d never met frantically buttoning up. Or who found out — when their children were grown — what really went on when Meghan said she was sleeping over at Ashley’s. Such sobering tales of teens snookering mom and dad caused mixed emotions in me — a solidly pro-choice

Secular progressives have enabled the creation of a libertine society which many of them are shocked at now that THEIR kids are involved. But they´ll soon persuade themselves that it´s OK never appreciating that their liberal attitudes have succeeded in undermining values. Don´t be surprised, with sex ed in some 1st grade classes, that you´ll find those pills at earlier kids´ ages. What´s to stop them?

The kids will be OK as long as they aren´t caught with an aspirin or prescription drugs in their pocket at school.

Why is it so hard for her --or any parents she knows-- to talk about sex? As a mother of four sons, all born within 5 years, all I had to do was wave my arm grandly at the dining room table and say, "Remember, boys, it is unbelievably easy to get a girl pregnant. You come from exceedingly fertile stock. I have no interest in becoming a grandmother at this stage of life. If you are old enough to do things that might get a girl pregnant, you are old enough to find your way to the drug store beforehand to make sure that will not happen."

Of course, my ex-husband was more of the "our sons should not have that talk because none of them will have sex" variety, but that did not stop me from having frank discussions of the mechanics of conception and all that before any of them were old enough to even really be INTERESTED in girls. They all knew what might happen in an unguarded moment and they all knew that they were in charge of their own fertility--not to trust some other person´s word that they were "taking care of it."

They got a little tired of the sex talk, but...they heard it, and they have each taken it to heart in one way or another.

Summer is coming upon us soon. That will give the schools time to put the new Plan B dispensers right next to the Tampon dispensers in all the girls bathrooms. Elementary schools too.

Those parents may not need to worry. Some of those kids, before they manage to conceive, will have acquired enough sundry STDs to be rendered infertile.

1. Remember: teenaged girls can get pregnant standing downwind from teenaged boys.

2. Fathers: Join DADD at once. That´s "Dad´s Against Daughters Dating." The motto of Dadd is "Shoot the first one. Word will spread."

3. It is incredibly irresponsible for doctors to have authority to write so-called "Plan B" prescriptions for minors without parental approval, and even that is a bad situation. To do so without even parental notice is nuts. These are extremely powerful drugs.

4. Condoms sometimes offer some protection from conception and STDs.

Spank your children if necessary. The very best of them only need a couple. I was always amazed at how happy the kids were about five minutes after their spanking. It changes their natural self-centered nonsense, and makes it a much better day for the parents in charge.

"a solidly pro-choice mother". There´s her problem right there. Being "pro-choice" is not solid at all. It really means "anything goes". The spread of pro-choice mothers led to the appearance of the plan B drug.

In a recent ´Dear Abby,´ a man put it financial terms. If his son got a girl pregnant, he should know the price that he would have to pay. $300/month X 12 months X 18 years= almost $65,000. So before any thought of an encounter, the young man should ask himself, ´Is she worth $65,000?´

Pro-choice means the child can have sex with anyone, dad, brother, kid next door, a teacher, or the entire football team.

Which is worse, being a Pro-choice Liberal or your child diseased up and dies? Such wonderful people.....NOT.

STD´s will be rampant with the easy access to this drug, but the press will never let anyone know about it. There is even a new strain of gonorrhea that is resistant to antibiotics. I fear as another poster stated that most young people will be so ridden with diseases that they will never be able to have children. And what exactly are the implications of a young girl taking this drug for 10 or more years? I bet no one has the answer.

The article states that the pills cost $50, so kids will have to confess to get the money for them.

Or maybe they´ll steal the money, or get it from their rich friend, or maybe even steal the pills from the drugstore.

People running back into the apartment building from the back porch were confronted by a man at the front door who also opened fire, he said. Problems getting judges confirmed by the Senate have been a constant complaint for this White House — but this week, President Barack Obama’s aides are celebrating a confirmation count that outpaces President George W. Leading the field in job creation, not surprisingly, was education and health services with 34,000 jobs—thank you Obamacare-- the retail trade with about 22,000 jobs—thank you Obamacare-- and temporary workers with 28,500 jobs —thank you Obamacare.
