Hi I’m Kansas Governor Sam Brownback. A week ago nearly a third of the world’s population celebrated Easter, the resurrection of Jesus. New life. Well, we need new life in our nation and economy. Washington is broke. Big spending programs are running out of money and change is coming. The ideas on how to fix the federal government are now percolating in the states, 30 of which are led by Republican governors. You see, you don’t change America by changing Washington. With video.
Indeed, the RNC national machine has unquestionably demonstrated that it certainly is NOT conservative/libertarian America. We, the non-food-stamp America, will likely want to focus our efforts on specific liberty-loving candidates.
The RNC will give us another Romney-McCain-Bush look-alike in 2016. Let´s send no money and give no support to the country club Republicans and their ilk.
So just about the time these brave states get their acts together, they´ll be infiltrated with all the liberals who can´t get jobs in the blue states so they´ll migrate to the red ones and bring the stench of economic death with them. Up go the welfare rolls, down go the neighborhoods.
Shhh...don´t go spreading the news! Just wish we weren´t so invested in our blue state to get out. Besides, we love our weather.
Or, in the case of Texas, it will be turned from red to blue, by inviting in millions of socialist leaning illegal immigrants from South of our border. Don´t ever think that these illegals don´t vote in our elections. They do.
New York City, the "Blue" states, and many demonRATic voters are indeed part of the aggregate Washington D.C. that "runs" America. Note, runs is a fleeting verb. When the credit is gone in 2016 Washington will have nothing.
The "Red" states are just that: states. They may be able to survive the coming insolvency of America.
The "voters" of Washington D.C. of the USA don´t stand a chance in the coming storm. As a group they have no assets.
You know how under ObamaCare, if you like your health plan, you´ll be able to keep it? That´s the swell-sounding promise President Obama has made scores of times since signing into law his grandiose transformation of American healthcare 43 months ago. Turns out, like so many Obama promises, it´s not true. [Snip] Now, NBC News is reporting that Obama and his healthcare sales team knew all along that would happen.
Conventional political wisdom in America holds that as commander-in-chief, the president of the United States knows all and sees all. Barack Obama´s press office constantly announces his briefings on everything from global threats to hurricane preparations, wildfires and floods. But over recent months the Obama administration has developed a peculiar pattern of behavior. Obama himself and unidentified aides have boasted of the president´s ignorance of things that an ordinary person would think a chief executive should know. [Snip] Now, his team claims Obama knew nothing of NSA spying on allies.
Hey there. I’m Michigan Representative Fred Upton, Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Our panel has been active in crafting solutions to improve health care for the American people, as well as conducting thoughtful oversight of the president’s health care law. Over the last year, we have become all too familiar with the troubled roll-out of the law with its broken promises, missed deadlines, delays, special waivers, and now website crashes.
Hi, everybody. A few weeks ago, we launched an important new part of the Affordable Care Act. It’s called the Marketplace. And for Americans without health insurance, and Americans who buy insurance on their own because they can’t get it at work, it’s a very big deal. If you’re one of those people, the Affordable Care Act makes you part of a big group plan for the first time. The Marketplace is where you can apply and shop for affordable new health insurance choices. It gathers insurers under one system to compete for your business.
With the government shutdown out of the way for a few months, intense media and public focus has turned to the fizzled launch of ObamaScare, the new healthcare system that will be doing hardly any of the grand things Obama promised at the start. Anyway now President Obama is also in a lot of hot water abroad for embarrassing revelations about ubiquitous American intelligence-gathering operations disclosed by Edward "I´m Just Trying to Help" Snowden. Snowden´s disclosures include allegations that the U.S. spies on friendly allied governments and sometimes the actual heads of their government. So, Obama telephoned one to explain.
According to Kathleen Sebelius, Barack Obama knew nothing, absolutely nothing, about the fundamental problems with the Oct. 1 roll-out of his namesake legislation. He didn´t know about the last-minute test of the website and how it crashed with only a few hundred samplers. He had no idea IT people had expressed deep concerns the site costing hundreds of millions was being constructed like an "Our Gang" clubhouse. According to former Gov. Sebelius, the president of the United States was totally unaware that anything was wrong with ObamaCare for "a couple of days" after the bungled launch.
While the president of the United States pitched his crumbling healthcare program like a late-night infomercial barker, the Army´s chief of staff made a shocking admission about national defense. Gen. Ray Odierno told a Washington conference Monday that the U.S. Army had not conducted any training in the last six months of the fiscal year ending Sept. 30. And, he said, there currently are only two Army brigades rated combat-ready. That´s less than one-third what ‘s regarded as necessary for national security. [Snip] All this to comply with Obama administration orders to drastically shrink the Army and military spending.
We´re afraid that you, like us, may have missed a couple of important things. So much was going on last week what with the looming end of the financial world, as Barack Obama described it. Having presided over a pioneering credit downgrade, he didn´t want to also preside over the United States´ first partial default. [Snip] While we were obsessing over the debt limit/government closure last week, the Washington Post published another Edward Snowden revelation to little alarm. The NSA is now collecting hundreds of millions of contact lists from personal email accounts and IM accounts all over the world,
Hello, I’m Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. Today, our nation and the Commonwealth of Virginia face tremendous challenges. Citizens are seeking leaders who are willing to speak out and stand up for our first principles and take on a federal government that is out of control, eating away our liberty and crushing opportunity. This gross government overreach is best exemplified in the so-called Affordable Care Act. ObamaCare represents one of the largest and most reckless expansions of government in the more than 200-year history of our nation.
Hi everybody. This week, because Democrats and responsible Republicans came together, the government was reopened, and the threat of default was removed from our economy. There’s been a lot of discussion lately of the politics of this shutdown. But the truth is, there were no winners in this. At a time when our economy needs more growth and more jobs, the manufactured crises of these last few weeks actually harmed jobs and growth. And it’s understandable that your frustration with what goes on in Washington has never been higher.
If we could somehow tap into Barack Obama´s vast reservoir of cynicism, this country might possibly achieve some of his green energy blather. The Phony Uniter spent the last several weeks implying Republicans are extremists like -- hmm, what other global group do Americans commonly associate with extremists? The GOP, he suggests, is a party captive to ideological crazies determined to send the global economy into a fatal tailspin sucking prosperity from the lives and dreams of billions just to thwart Obama´s not-so-grand healthcare scheme. [Snip] Wait ‘til you see who Obama blames now.
According to the nation’s highest-ranking spectator, President Obama, the fiscal crisis was all about Congress. "I will not negotiate over whether or not America keeps its word and meets its obligations." – Barack Obama “The leaders up in Congress, they can work through whatever processes they want. But the bottom line is either you´re having good-faith negotiations in which there´s give and take, or you´re not.” – Barack Obama.
60 Minutes had an absolutely devastating report on the Obama administration’s failure to protect Ambassador Chris Stevens and other Americans in Benghazi. I’ll post the video when available (update – available and added), but the heart of the report is that there were clear and unequivocal warnings which were ignored, and the Obama administration lied about these warnings after the attack. Hillary and Obama blamed a video and stood by the caskets perpetuating that lie. And remember how almost all of the media obsessed with Mitt Romney’s statement over Benghazi, and colluded to ask Romney gotcha questions while downplaying and obfuscating what really
The following script is from "Benghazi" which aired on Oct. 27, 2013. The correspondent is Lara Logan. Max McClellan, producer. When Chris Stevens was killed in Benghazi, Libya, on the anniversary of September 11th last year, it was only the sixth time that the United States had lost an ambassador to its enemies. The events of that night have been overshadowed by misinformation, confusion and intense partisanship. But for those who lived through it, there´s nothing confusing about what happened, and they share a sense of profound frustration because they say they saw it coming. Tonight, you will hear for the
President Obama and his family attended Sunday services at St. John´s Episcopal Church, which is across Lafayette Park from the White House. It is a day for reflection, not politics. When a pool reporter asked if the Obamacare website can be fixed by the end of November, Obama responded: "C´mon guys. I´m going to church." During the service, seminarian Sarah Taylor offered prayers "for Barack, our president, the leaders of Congress, the Supreme Court, and all who are in authority, for Afghanistan, and the Middle East, for this community, the nation and the world." After church, in the afternoon, Obama took
President Barack Obama personally authorised the phone tapping of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s mobile because he wanted to ´know everything´ about the world’s most powerful woman, it was claimed on Sunday. (Snip) ‘Obama did not stop the action at that time but allowed it to continue,’ said an intelligence official familiar with the NSA operation against Merkel image on Sunday. ´Obama did not stop the action but rather furthered it,´ said the Bild informant. ´The reason for the action?´ said Bild. ´Obama wanted to know exactly who this woman was.´ German handling of the eurozone crisis and its refusal to get involved
First Lady Michelle Obama and her Princeton classmate whose company received the no-bid government contract to build the HealthCare.gov Obamacare website were both members of a black student organization that caused a tense scene on campus by inviting a PLO leader who advocated for terrorism. Michelle Obama ’85 and her classmate Toni Townes-Whitley ’85, a senior vice president at CGI Federal, were both students at the university when their groups the Organization of Black Unity (OBU) and the Third World Center (TWC) engaged in a confrontation with Jewish students on campus. Michelle Obama was a member of both the OBU and TWC
Appearing by phone on Steve Malzberg‘s NewsMaxTV show Monday afternoon, Charles Krauthammer responded to Rush Limbaugh‘s criticism that the Washington Post columnist was “fooled” into believing President Obama was a “centrist” at the beginning of his first term in office. On his radio show, Limbaugh ran clips of Krauthammer and fellow columnist George Will telling Fox News that they initially thought Obama painted himself as a compromising centrist. “I intellectually don’t know how you can not figure out Barack Obama,” the radio host said. “A liberal is a liberal. I know Obama, for the low-information crowd, could be whatever you wanted
"All we´ve been hearing the last three years is if you like your policy you can keep it.... I´m infuriated because I was lied to," one woman told this newspaper, as part of a story on how some middle-class Californians have been stunned to learn the real costs of Obamacare. And that lie looks like the biggest lie about domestic policy ever uttered by a U.S. president. The most famous presidential lies have to do with misconduct (Richard Nixon´s "I am not a crook" or Bill Clinton´s "I did not have sexual relations") or war. Woodrow Wilson campaigned on the slogan "He kept us out of war" and then plunged
Trenton — Gov. Chris Christie says he understands victims´ frustrations a year after Hurricane Sandy but maintains that his administration isn´t to blame for delays in aid reaching victims. In an interview with The Associated Press as the anniversary of the Oct. 29 megastorm approaches, Christie blamed Congress, which took three months to approve a $50.7 billion relief package for the region, and a thicket of red tape put in place to prevent the type of fraud that occurred after Hurricane Katrina. (Snip) Christie was in many ways the face of the storm, whether he was embracing President Barack Obama during
Florida Blue CEO Patrick Geraghty appeared on Meet the Press Sunday morning and defended Obamacare, telling host David Gregory that the 300,000 figure—the number of people being dropped from the insurance rolls, a number being used as evidence that President Barack Obama was not correct when he said people would get to keep their insurance—was not an accurate representation of the Affordable Care Act’s effects. “We’re not cutting people,” Geraghty said. “We’re actually transitioning people. What we’ve been doing is informing folks that their plan doesn’t meet the test of the essential health benefits; therefore, they have a choice
California residents are rebelling a bit against Obamacare, with thousands shocked by the sticker price and rethinking their support, saying that what seemed wonderful in principle is not translating so well into reality. As Pam Kehaly, the president of Anthem Blue Cross in California, reported, she received a letter from one woman who saw her insurance rates rise by 50 percent due to Obamacare. “She said, ‘I was all for Obamacare until I found out I was paying for it,’ ” Ms. Kehaly said, in the Los Angeles Times. Several hundred thousand other Californians in coming weeks may be feeling
President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years. Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC News that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next
