Obama has “no coherent
message” for the Arab world

Washington Examiner, by Sean Higgins

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 4/5/2013 9:42:23 AM

Joyce Karam, Washington correspondent for pan-Arabic daily Al-Hayat, offers a sobering assessment on the Al-Arabiya website of the current administrations efforts in the post-”Arab Spring” Middle East. She begins by noting a how a minor recent diplomatic walkback highlights the White House’s contradictory policy: It was only fitting that the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announces another traditional trip to the Middle East on the same day that the U.S. embassy in Cairo withdraws its tweet advancing the case for Egyptian Comedian Bassem Youssef as he faces intimidation from the Mursi government.

Comments:
0bama has no coherent message about anything! He´s an empty suit who has one goal, to destroy this country and make it into his vision of a Marxist´s dream.

No ´coherent message´??? Sure he does - he demonstrates to the world that the American voters are now entirely too brain dead to elect a leader that doesn´t share their affliction.

Actually - Obama has kow-towed to Islam since taking office - to the point that any ´foreign´ intervention he´s been associated with - now finds that region in more radical Islamist hands.

But then again, ´coherent´ is not an Obama-job requirement. Narcissism and affirmative action - are - or at least that´s how he rolls...

How do you get any kind of "coherent message" from someone who lies all the time? The lies change from day to day to suit the circumstances. You can´t trust or believe anything he says.

House Republicans to offer
own immigration reform plan
Arizona Republic [Phoenix, AZ], by Dan Nowicki & Daniel González    Original Article
Posted By: KarenJ1- 1/27/2014 9:04:44 PM     Post Reply
House Republican leaders plan to unveil their principles and outline their priorities on the politically potent issue of immigration reform this week, as President Barack Obama revisits the issue in his State of the Union address. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, expects the outline will help gauge which pieces of reform — increased border security, changes to the visa system, a pathway to citizenship and others — can win support from his House Republican Conference. Boehner intends to consider a series of immigration bills rather than the comprehensive legislation passed by the Democrat-controlled Senate last summer. Immigrant advocates are watching the process

Retired Republican Sen. John Warner endorsed his Democratic successor and onetime rival Mark Warner on Monday in his race against Ed Gillespie. The 86-year-old told POLITICO that the state benefits from the seniority in the Senate that the 59-year-old Warner (the two are not related) is accumulating. The former chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee also praised the younger Warner – with whom he has developed a friendship since the two squared off in a race nearly two decades ago – for effectively advocating on behalf of the state’s large military presence. John Warner had nothing negative to say about

On Monday, Ruth Marcus, left-leaning political columnist for the Washington Post, stepped on a rhetorical landmine. Or, that is, she would have if she was Ruth Marcus, right-leaning columnist for the Washington Post. Maybe former White House intern Monica Lewinsky was just asking for it? That is the impression that this headline and the selected pull quote will project. When Marcus was making a fairly anodyne statement about how female sexuality is routinely mischaracterized in the press when it involves a politician (intentionally so, I would submit), Marcus lamented how sexually active women are branded as either insatiably promiscuous predators

Exclusive--Sessions: House Leadership
Immigration Push Could Imperil GOP in 2014
Breitbart´s Big Government, by Matthew Boyle    Original Article

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) said Sunday evening during an exclusive appearance on Breitbart News Sunday with Stephen K. Bannon that House GOP leadership’s push to grant amnesty to America’s illegal aliens this year could jeopardize Republicans in the 2014 elections. “A poll just showed that just 3 percent of Americans consider immigration a top priority," Sessions said. "So now we’re going to take an issue that divides the Republicans, that is not good for working Americans, and we’re going to alter the definition of this election from an overreaching central government and Obamacare and taxes and regulations to a controversial

Just a few weeks ago, a State of the Union call for immigration reform would have seemed an exercise in futility. But now, President Obama, who Tuesday night will urge the House to pass new legislation, might have at least an outside chance of getting what he wants. Immigration reform is back. Left for dead countless times in recent months, the effort to overhaul the nation´s immigration system -- and deal with the estimated 12 million immigrants now in the country illegally -- is again on the priority list for Speaker John Boehner and House GOP lawmakers. But there´s a problem,

It´s a tough audience. The annual primetime State of the Union address is not exactly galvanizing the viewing public. Just 28 percent say they definitely plan to watch President Obama’s address on Tuesday evening, according to a new Harris poll. That includes 26 percent of Republicans and 36 percent of more loyal Democrats. Another 40 percent overall say “maybe” and less than a third a flat “no.” And the biggest complaint about Mr. Obama, according to the survey of more than 2,000 respondents? Sixty percent agree that the president spends too much time talking and there isn’t enough action.” What to do?

Light arms supplied by the United States are flowing to "moderate" Syrian rebel factions in the south of the country and U.S. funding for months of further deliveries has been approved by Congress, according U.S. and European security officials. The weapons, most of which are moving to non-Islamist Syrian rebels via Jordan, include a variety of small arms, as well as some more powerful weapons, such as anti-tank rockets. The deliveries do not include weapons such as shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles, known as MANPADs, which could shoot down military or civilian aircraft, the officials said. Government watchdog groups and reporters say political appointees have been given increased sway over Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in the Obama administration, slowing down the release of public records and introducing political pressure to the process. Numerous federal agencies have adopted policies to review “significant” or “sensitive” FOIA requests. The White House also frequently reviews FOIA requests it claims contain executive branch materials. The Washington Free Beacon has had one FOIA request under White House review for the past three months. The big Wall Street types will tell you that, as bad as things have gotten with President Obama and his disastrous economic policies, help could be on the way in the form of President Hillary Clinton in 2016. Keep in mind, this bunch bet heavily back in 2007 and 2008 that then-candidate Barack Obama was “a moderate” (a term used by BlackRock chief Larry Fink to describe Obama in ’08), shoveling lots of money his way. And the same crew in 2012 bet big that Mitt Romney had what it took to expose Obamanomics as the disaster it had become. But the

Only 20-some months after Latino voters helped propel President Obama back to the White House, Republican leaders will likely bring immigration reform proposals to a vote in the House this summer. Why wait? First, they have to get past the threat posed by their congressional primaries. This is a pretty remarkable commentary on the imbalance within the party. The Republicans´ very vocal, very energized far-right conservatives strongly oppose any measures meant to relax rules around immigration. The party´s quieter, more moderate majority is less fervent; in most cases, the party´s establishment recognizes the need to reach out to the Latino

But as President Barack Obama unofficially rings in the sixth year of his administration with Tuesday´s State of the Union address, another intriguing struggle may be emerging -- between moderates and progressives on the Democratic side. It´s not a divide on a par with the cavernous pre-New Deal divisions of Rogers´ day. Not even close. But it is taking on growing importance as Democrats, frustrated with

Stephen Hawking has produced a "mind-bending" new theory that argues black holes do not actually exist - at least not in the way we currently perceive them. Instead, in his paper, Information Preservation and Weather Forecasting for Black Holes, Hawking proposes that black holes can exist without 'event horizons', the invisible cover believed to surround every black hole.During a previous lecture, 'Into the Black Hole', Hawkins described an event horizon as the boundary of a black hole, "where gravity is just strong enough to drag light back, and prevent it escaping".
“Falling through the event horizon, is a bit like going over Niagara Falls in a canoe", he said. "If you are above the falls, you can get away if you paddle fast enough, but once you are over the edge, you are lost. There's no way back.

Amazon Prime is like crack, people warn me in hushed, cautionary tones. Once you try it, you’re hooked. I personally have not signed up for Amazon’s premiere, super-duper, fancy-dancy, wave-o’-the-future membership program, even though I’m a frequent customer. But I’m fascinated by the transformation people talk about once they do. “Oh, you’ll see,” they tell me, “you’ll see.” On its face, Prime offers two simple things: Free two-day shipping on most purchases, and access to streaming movies and TV shows. All for $80 a year. Whether or not people need two-day shipping, a few things seem to happen once they

In the column Hicks offers his eyewitness testimony to the security issues that Stevens dealt with at our Libyan facilities before his death. The redacted report of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Committee that was released on January 15 has left some to draw the conclusion that Stevens rejected additional security and to imply that he is responsible for the success
