Gun bill sponsor apparently doesn’t
understand how guns work

Daily Caller, by Greg Campbell

Original Article

Posted By:DaddyO, 4/4/2013 7:32:08 AM

Colorado Rep. Diana DeGette, the lead Democratic sponsor of a federal bill to ban high-capacity magazines, is apparently unaware that such magazines can be reloaded and reused, according to a comment she made at a Denver Post-sponsored forum on gun control on Tuesday. When asked how limiting the number of bullets in magazines would help reduce violence, she replied: (snip) "So if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time, because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

Comments:
She also made headlines by saying if a senior citizen needed to defend himself with a gun, he´d probably already be dead.. Gun control dems.. Just give them a microphone and let the fun begin!

This woman makes Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi sound like Rocket Scientists. She honestly believes that after all the bullets are shot out of a magazine, you just simply throw the magazine away. What is worse is that the Denver Post called her up for this panel because they considered her an expert on weapons. I´m beginning to believe that not only should people be required to take a civics exam prior to getting a voter id card, but an IQ test as well.

makes one wonder if the average intelligence of these sneering elites is lower than the general population. I would sort of fit in with the theory that very few politicians in Washington are actually leaders - but merely puppets controlled by king-makers behind the scenes.

The ignorant and uninformed are much easier to control as the Libs well know. Look at what they´ve done to our schools.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster in England. Ninety-six Liverpool fans died and more than 700 were injured in a human crush in the opening minutes of the 1989 FA Cup Semifinal at Hillsborough stadium in Sheffield. Inadequate turnstiles created a bottleneck and a crush of thousands of fans outside the ground on the Liverpool side. Police opened a gate, allowing the fans to enter. Standing room fans were kept in enclosed pens at some stadiums for security purposes. Police did not close the entrance to the already full central pens. Thousands streamed down the central tunnel,

What she didn’t know at the time was that the machine had malfunctioned and was spitting out cash as fast as the man could ask for it. Officers arrived around 5:30 a.m. and found him stuffing thousands of dollars from the machine into a plastic shopping bag, said

Sunday’s announcement that Piers Morgan had lost his show at CNN was hardly unexpected. The ratings for the coveted 9 p.m. time slot were abysmal, dropping last week to just 270,000 viewers — about one-eighth of what Fox News’s Megyn Kelly got in the same time slot. Some, such as Variety magazine, have speculated that the low ratings are due to Morgan’s single-minded push for gun control. That might have something to do with it, but much more is going on.
