This time, things could be very,
very different with North Korea

Fox News, by K.T. McFarland

Original Article

The rites of spring are: daylight savings time... cherry blossoms and daffodils… and another North Korean military crisis. Every year, come spring, the North Korean people run low on their stocks of food, fuel and fear. Their leaders manage the situation by manufacturing a crisis. They threaten war, their people forget about hardships to rally round the flag, and the world trembles. Everyone agrees to consultations, the North Koreans get assistance, and the crisis is averted….until the same time next year. The annual North Korean display of braggadocio and brinksmanship is so predictable you can practically set your iCalendar to auto-renew.

FTA: If a weakened North Korea unites with South Korea to form the East Asian equivalent of a United Germany – [it] would be China’s worst nightmare.

Quite an insight.

Gee I think Bammy is giving us all his campaign promises. Gay marriage, gun grabs ruined health care illegal immigrants and an Asian war with communists to which he would be happy to surrender this nation.

The NK government has given the go ahead to launch nukes at the US or any other unfortunate target but still it looks like nobody takes them seriously.Of course Obama´s red lines are always a moving target.I doubt Nk has a nuke that can reach the US mainland but Japan or Guam is within tier reach, probably.

One would think we have enough space surveillance to target all their hard military sites and blow them up in a matter of days.

We have millions of people in this country starving under Obama´s poverty but sure we can send NK several metric tonnes of food.Corn is probably off limits because we need that for gas tanks.

#3, what makes you think that the only way they could deliver nukes is via missiles? What if they loaded them into cargo containers and sailed them into our major port cities? What good would our anti-missile systems do us then?

The very fact we have allowed them to build, test, and refine these nukes has put our country in mortal danger. NONE of our sophisticated military hardware can protect us from the low-tech type of attack I just described.

Our government´s continued refusal to address this very real threat may be a fatal error that will make the shocking 9/11 attack seem like child´s play.

Dittos to poster #5. Why is everyone talking about how the North Koreans can´t bomb us because their missiles can´t reach the mainland? They don´t have to have missiles, there are other ways of delivering nuclear devices into the U.S.

No one believed Al Qaeda could attack the United States because they didn´t have nuclear weapons or missiles to deliver them yet managed to kill three thousand human beings on American soil by using our technology against us.

All the name calling from the NORKS has certainly distracted the US media from what is going on in the Middle East and South West Asia.

There is nothing that the USA can do but wait until the NORKS fire a missile at something and if they do hope that it misses, because the liberal Democrats who are now running Washington, DC and the US military don´t look like they are going to do anything to preempt the NORKS militarily.

Anyway it appears that all the noise the NORKS are making, claiming that are going to attack, is predicated upon actual US military aggression against North Korea the chances of which are really almost non-existent.

A beautiful forested estate of graceful waterways, summer houses and exotic gardens. This is the home of Ukraine´s fugitive president, who was dramatically ousted from power after one of the worst periods of violence in the country´s history. Ukraniains streamed to see Viktor Yanukovich´s luxury estate, which has been closed off to the world for nearly a decade, and rubbed their eyes in disbelief when they were confronted by the scale of the opulence he built around him. The property in Mezhyhirya, an hours drive from Kiev, has a golf course, helicopter pad and is situated in a country where the average salary

Like the girl who always falls for the guy who’s bad for her, conservatives keep trusting the wrong people and making the same mistakes. One such mistake goes like this: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. A few recent examples… When Donald Trump got into a fight with BuzzFeed (some) conservatives reflexively defended him. They presumably did this because BuzzFeed is viewed as a liberal-leaning outlet — and because Trump is nominally a Republican. But is he worth defending? Trump’s conservative bona fides are highly questionable to begin with, and his impact on the GOP’s prospects are almost

Protesters seized the Kiev office of President Viktor Yanukovich on Saturday and his whereabouts were a mystery, as the pro-Russian leader´s grip on power rapidly eroded following bloodshed in the Ukrainian capital. There were conflicting reports about whether the president planned to resign. At the president´s headquarters, Ostap Kryvdyk, who described himself as a protest commander, said some protesters had entered the offices but there was no looting. "We will guard the building until the next president comes," he told Reuters. "Yanukovich will never be back." The grounds of the president´s residence outside Kiev were also being guarded by "self-defense"

The $150,000-a-year salary of the new executive director of One Fund Boston will be paid out of the charity’s own budget — marking a significant shift from the organization’s beginnings, when every dollar donated went directly to victims’ families and survivors of the marathon bombings. “The mission of the fund has not changed,” said One Fund spokeswoman Dot Joyce. “It continues to grow and with that growth comes some administrative cost. And those decisions were made by the board in consultation with the survivor community and what’s best in meeting their needs going forward.” Joyce could not say how much money is

A federal judge delivered a severe tongue-lashing to a Justice Department lawyer Thursday, slamming the Obama Administration for its handling of demands for government records in the libel lawsuit fired Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod filed against conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart. During a 40-minute hearing, U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon repeatedly ripped into the government and DOJ trial counsel David Glass for resisting requests from both sides in the case for government files and e-mails that might be of use in the litigation. At one point, the judge snapped at Glass, ordering him to "sit right down." Sherrod was

The latest Fox News poll finds that most Americans think Congress should continue to investigate the Obama administration’s handling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. The attack took place in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 and resulted in the deaths of a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. Sixty-six percent of voters want Congress to keep investigating the White House’s handling of Benghazi. That includes 50 percent of Democrats, 68 percent of independents and 83 percent of Republicans. About a third opposes lawmakers continuing to investigate the attack (31 percent).

WASHINGTON — This week, President Barack Obama promoted tougher fuel efficiency standards for trucks. He touted progress on initiatives to strengthen the U.S. patent system. And he signed an executive order intended to speed up the process for approving import or export cargo. Welcome to Obama´s self-proclaimed "year of action," where hardly a day goes by without the president and his top advisers trumpeting policy initiatives the White House is undertaking without the help of Congress. The mostly modest actions — far shy of the sweeping immigration overhaul Obama hoped for this year — put into sharp focus the president´s limitations as
