Texas adds 80,600 jobs in
February, its biggest
monthly gain ever

Dallas Morning News, by Sheryl Jean

Texas employment surged in February as employers added the most new jobs ever in a month. The Texas Workforce Commission on Friday reported 80,600 new jobs across the state. That more than made up for a slow start in January, when an upwardly revised 13,800 jobs were added. The job growth appears to be the highest monthly gain since the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics began tracking such data in 1939. Texas’ unemployment rate, however, inched up to 6.4 percent, though it was still well below the U.S. rate of 7.7 percent for February. “The addition of over 80,000 jobs in a single month

Texas needs a new slogan. "Move to Texas and feel what it´s like to be an American again."

What ticks me off is Obama gets to claim these new jobs in his weekly reports.

I bet a huge percentage of those 80,600 jobs came from the people fleeing NY, the home of the dead last (#50) state in economic freedom. Next year, we´ll hear that NY made #57 (Barry´s count of states).

The lowest rate of unemployment nationally is currently my city of residence. Basically all oil related. If chemtrails were stopped and allow this area to have rain we would be in great shape.

Staple shortages in Venezuela are exacerbating, as mirrored by restricted sales in many stores across the country. The supply of personal care products fails to meet demand. Only one or two brands of a single item can be found on shelves. Similarly, drugs stocks are running low. In a bid to meet demand, pharmacies have also been limiting the sale of certain drugs to only two items per person. Since April 2012, the Central Bank of Venezuela has been reporting shortage of personal care and home cleaning products, which sales are restricted as well. Shortage stems from the price regulations enforced for more than

CARACAS - Venezuela´s foreign minister lambasted U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday as a "murderer" fomenting unrest that has killed 28 people in the South American OPEC member nation. Since street demonstrations began against President Nicolas Maduro´s socialist government in early February, Venezuelan officials have been accusing Washington of stirring the country´s worst political troubles in a decade. U.S. officials say Venezuela is using them as a scapegoat, inventing accusations to distract from internal economic and political problems. In the sternest words during the crisis from Washington, Kerry said on Thursday the Venezuela government was using a "terror campaign" to

And hours before the doomed flight left Kuala Lumpur it is understood 53-year-old Shah attended a controversial trial in which Ibrahim was jailed for five years. Campaigners say the politician, the key challenger to Malaysia’s ruling party, was the victim of a long-running smear campaign and had faced trumped-up charges. By now it’s settled on most people, including Democrats, that the loss of Alex Sink to David Jolly in Florida’s 13th Congressional District was, in the words of the New York Times, “devastating” to Democrats. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats. In addition, Ms. Sink raised more money and ran a better campaign than Jolly. Even Bill Clinton lent his efforts to her campaign. And yet she lost. What should particularly alarm Democrats is

Last week, the U.S. Tenth Circuit decided a case that should reverberate on Capitol Hill. In Kerr v. The three-judge panel — consisting of Carter and Clinton appointees — ruled in favor of the legislators’ standing. This decision should embolden members of Congress who correctly believe that President Obama has encroached upon Congress’ constitutional authority. Indeed, Congress should do no less in defending its authority than the five Colorado state legislators.
