Obama: America ´Can Do Better´
Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

At a speech today in Miami, President Obama urged America to "do better." "We still have all kinds of deferred maintenance. We still have too many ports that aren’t equipped for today’s world commerce. We’ve still got too many rail lines that are too slow and clogged up. We’ve still got too many roads that are in disrepair, too many bridges that aren’t safe," said the president. "We don’t have to accept that for America. We can do better. We can build better. And in a time of tight

With all the millions of dollars his family is spending on expensive, lavish and luxurious vacations; we could do better to spend this money on roads, bridges, and ports.

Obama might be able to repair a bridge or two if he stopped giving our money to his third world brothers aka hamas Egypt Africans and the UN.

America will NOT do better unless there is an unforeseen turn of intelligence and conscience in our overall society. Zippy could not exist as anything other than a back bench Senator {if that} if our entire nation had not lost their collective sanity. His leaving, however it might occur, will change nothing of substance. The same lost souls who help elect him twice will move on to another destructive force and the undoing of our country will continue without a hitch. Yes, we can survive the Kenyan, but not a nation of his brain-dead followers.

Is Obama, ´killing the goose that laid the golden egg, as it were? America´s faithful and determined generations have since this country´s founding delivered to each new generation the Constitution´s principles of
Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness. Thus, it has always been as, ´´morning in America,´´ fresh & energetic because each generation has lived, prospered and has safely delivered and passed these and countless other blessings of life on to the future. No people on earth have ever contributed, thrived and flourished in freedom & goodwill as have Americans. This country is the beacon of Liberty on the planet. ...But, 0bama´s BIG Government statist, ´pyramid scheme,´ policies have slammed on the brakes to our energy supply in more ways than one, and is determined apparently to drag the USA backwards, while accusing hard working citizens, ...of WHAT?!

America has ALWAYS reached higher and done, ´´Better,´ in securing freedom & and offering opportunity!!! Who wants to be the, ´stumbling block,´ in American history now?!! ...Another, ´First,´ for 0bama?!mmm mmm mmm

The dems destructive policies, their connived incompetence, ignorance of their own oaths, combined with their continuing negative slander of factual American history, discredits them and their statist agenda. The proof is in the pudding.

Sidebar: Netflix has the History Channel´s production, ´´Russia: Land of the Tsars,´´ and, after watching that informative timeline of that counry´s long history of serfdom/slavery and top-down BIG Government tyranny and struggles of the people just to be free to live in peace, it would be very informative for 0bama, the low information dem pols and all statists to watch that production.

Within each human heart there is a yearning for freedom. God bless the USA!

Obama is so full of crap! As a matter of fact, the railroads have been investing tons of their own money in upgrading infrastructure all through this recession: straightening curves, easing grades, raising the clearance of bridges & tunnels to accommodate double- and even triple-stack containers, increasing the quality of roadbeds, etc. If/when we get the economy rolling again, the railroads are going to be in a very good position.

President Obama promised to mend the failings in the American health-care system, and yet for cancer treatment, ObamaCare is taking a rotten feature of the old system and making it worse. The Affordable Care Act expands a program called 340B, which siphons money from drug makers and insurers to subsidize certain hospitals. The program has been expanded as a way to offset some of the cuts that the law imposes on hospitals. One significant side effect: 340B is increasing the cost of cancer care—and harming its quality. When the program began in 1992, its aim was to support

Fiscal Policy: President Obama has proposed a "grand bargain" with Republicans: They get a tax cut for corporations, he gets more money to spend on worthless government stimulus. That´s no bargain — that´s surrender. In the latest attempt by Democrats to disguise GOP capitulation as centrist "compromise," Obama said he´ll sign off on a cut in the corporate tax rate from 35% to 28% — with an even lower rate of 25% for manufacturers — if Republicans will agree to spend more on Obama´s "investments" and OK a tax hike on U.S. companies doing business overseas.

In Chattanooga on Tuesday, the latest stop on his economic inequality tour, President Obama made himself an offer he couldn´t refuse. If Congressional Republicans agree to a corporate tax increase, he said, then he´ll agree to spend more money on his favorite public-works projects. If Republicans bargain hard, will he also offer an expansion of ObamaCare as a sweetener? We know this sounds like an exaggeration, but that´s the essence of what the President proposed as what he called a new "grand bargain." Mr. Obama will agree to reform the corporate tax code—a GOP priority and one

Obamanomics: The president has been decrying the growing gap between rich and poor in the U.S. to help sell his retread tax-and-spend proposals. But those policies have already produced record levels of income inequality. In his speech in Illinois last week, and at events since, Obama described income inequality in the starkest terms. To be sure, income inequality is a standard trope for liberals, who always use it to advocate more wealth redistribution. And Obama´s latest focus neatly coincides with his plans to push
