Black leadership group condemns
defense tactics, media coverage
in abortion-doctor murder case

Daily Caller, by Patrick Howley

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 3/22/2013 6:00:19 AM

A conservative black leadership network, Project 21, condemned both the race-based defense strategy and also the media coverage of the murder trial of Philadelphia abortion provider Dr. Kermit Gosnell, charging that by trying to hold Gosnell’s West Philadelphia clinic to lower standards than abortion providers, Gosnell’s lawyers are setting a dangerous precedent for abortion clinics in African-American communities across the country. Gosnell, who is charged with seven counts of first-degree murder for allegedly killing live babies, and third-degree murder for the alleged over-anesthetization of patient Karnamaya Mongar, appears ready to make the case a racial issue.

Didn´t the doctor say one of the murdered babies was big enough to walk him to the bus stop?If that isn´t dark humor,I don´t know what is.

The defense can´t defend the dotor on the face of the crimes,so i guess he has no choice but to play the race card, sadly,it could eventually work depending on the jury make up..

"Doctor?" Gosnell is a monster. I would not like to be in his shoes on judgment day, and believe me, it will come. Glad Project 21 is standing up to this. I have read good things about them before.

#2, We already know the ´true colors´ of the black community. Just one example - they claim to be against gay marriage but voted for zippy anyway after he ´evolved´ on the issue. Melanin content trumps everything. We could write a book on examples.

I find it so very hard to wrap my head aroung this case. I guess because I was raised with manners and the good sense not to do things to other people.

So I am finding it hard to understand why the citizens of this community don´t find it shocking that they had a butcher doing this to innocent babies in their community and then keeping little trophies of his kills. Are these people really so desiring as to participate in their own genocide here?

This is an occasion that would justify a protest riot against what that doctor was doing in my opinion.

In Illinois, Obama voted that it was OK to kill babies both before and after they were born. Gosnell will walk.

Listening to Palestinian officials bemoan the condition of the peace process can be disorienting, given that that they are the ones who have played no small part in sabotaging that very same process. Ahead of Secretary of State Kerry’s meeting with Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas, an unnamed PA official has been warning that the peace talks are in “real crisis.” The two are due to meet in Paris today, but to suggest that the negotiations are in crisis now would be to falsely imply that they were in a happier state at some previous point. Rand Paul vs. Ted Cruz:
Who´s winning tea party voters?
Christian Science Monitor, by Peter Grier    Original Article

Washington- Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Ted Cruz of Texas are both favorites of the tea party wing of the Republican Party. If both run for president in 2016, as seems likely at the moment, they’d vie for the same conservative voters as a base upon which to build a winning GOP primary coalition. Given that potential White House candidates are jockeying right now for support from key donors and party figures, it’s not too early to ask this question: Which of these two men is currently winning the most tea party support? Despite their similar electoral roots, they

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County jury found Tuesday that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Greg Brannon misled investors in a technology start-up. As a result of the civil judgment, Brannon will be personally liable for repaying $250,000. If the judgment is upheld on appeal, he will also have to pay 8 percent interest from the time each of the aggrieved investors wrote their checks and could be required to pay their attorneys´ fees in the case. Jurors determined that Brannon´s co-defendant Robert Rice didn´t mislead investors and isn´t responsible for repaying them. "I completely disagree with this verdict and feel that I

WASHINGTON — President Obama travels to Mexico on Wednesday for a brief but politically fraught visit aimed at forging closer trade ties with America’s two closest neighbors even as his party’s leaders back home have vowed to undercut his efforts. Mr. Obama will meet with the leaders of Mexico and Canada in the rapidly growing city of Toluca, to the west of Mexico City, the capital, at what his advisers consider a critical juncture in his efforts to negotiate a broad Asian-Pacific trade pact that would encompass roughly 40 percent of the global economy across a dozen nations. The fourth Georgia hospital in two years is closing its doors due to severe financial difficulties caused by Obamacare’s payment cuts for emergency services. The Lower Oconee Community Hospital is, for now, a critical access hospital in southeastern Georgia that holds 25 beds. The hospital is suffering from serious cash-flow problems, largely due to the area’s 23 percent uninsured population, and hopes to reopen as “some kind of urgent care center,” CEO Karen O’Neal said. Many hospitals in the 25 states that rejected the Medicaid expansion are facing similar financial problems. Liberal administration ally Think Progress has already faulted Georgia for not

Industry sources tell the Washington Examiner’s Susan Ferrechio that the Barack Obama administration is thinking of extending the Affordable Care Act´s "risk corridors," the federal reimbursement program for health-insurance companies that lose money by participating in the newly created health-care exchanges. This is not the first time we’ve seen this idea floated, and frankly, believing that the administration is considering it is all too easy. If you’re not familiar with the risk-corridor program, read what I’ve written in the past. Basically, there are three temporary risk-adjustment programs to help insurers transition into the new marketplaces. One of them -- a

New York - U.S. homebuilder confidence suffered its largest one-month drop ever in February, heightening concerns that recent signs of weakness in the economy reflect deeper problems than the severe weather that has gripped much of the country. The National Association of Home Builders said on Tuesday its Housing Market Index plunged by 10 points to 46 in February, with a majority of builders seeing market conditions as poor. The NAHB, which produces the index together with U.S. bank Wells Fargo, said cold temperatures kept potential home buyers out of the market across much of the country. But the trade group said high

KIEV, Ukraine -- As thick black smoke rose from the barricades encircling the protest camp in central Kiev on Wednesday, the Ukrainian president blamed opposition leaders for the deadly violence that erupted between riot police and protesters in the capital in which at least 25 people died and 241 were injured. The violence on Tuesday was the worst in nearly three months of anti-government protests that have paralyzed Ukraine´s capital in a struggle over the identity of a nation divided in loyalties between Russia and the West, and the worst in the country´s post-Soviet history.

There´s a long list of Cabinet secretaries and senior aides to President Obama who have failed the nation so resoundingly they should be shown the door. Last week, Boehner and McConnell faced down the Tea Party’s threat to cripple the government when they supported raising the nation’s debt ceiling. That move prevented GOP political suicide. If the nation’s credit rating, stocks and the recovery went down the sewer because of Republicans’ refusal to raise the debt ceiling, the GOP’s chances in the midterm elections would have been severely damaged.
